Ted Hall Locksmith

I recently used Ted Hall to fix a jammed front entry door. When they arrived I was told they need to take the lock apart and see what was going on inside it. After messing with the lock for 90mins I was told the lock was fixed and try not to slam the door hard it's messing up the mechanism inside. I was charged $266.56 for the service. Two days later the lock was jammed again. I called Ted Hall and they said the fix wasn't going to be permanent and I needed to replace the lock for $490. At that point I asked for half my money back and I would go on my way. They refused to compensate me for there shotty work so I called in Bullet Lock & Safe Co. to take a look at what was going on. It took the gentlemen a total of 25 mins to fix the problem. The bottom screw of the plate was striped making it stick out. All the door needed was a new screw to grab into the door and make the plate flush. WHAT A JOKE!!! I called Ted Hall to tell them how easily the door was fixed and asked for half my money back again when in reality I should have been asking for a full refund. The owner then got on the phone with me and said he was "f**king done with me" and "I didn't know who I was f**king with". Extremely bizarre and unprofessional behavior from a business owner who is in the wrong. I recommend anger management classes Ted and maybe a few Master Locksmith classes. If your a High End customer I strongly advise to stay away from this clown.

Replaced front door lock with digital lock & installed a deadbolt lock on an interior door

Can't say enough good about how quick and easy a transaction this was and work performed at a fair price. Took up far less of my day and les of my money than I expected. Now re-looking the locks on my home because I've found a locksmith I feel I can trust to upgrade them and do it right. A++++

The locksmith was professional and very knowledgeable about all elements of the doors and locks. He changed 9 locks for me and keyed them all to only two keys.

Great service, very professional. I called Monday morning hoping to get an appointment by Friday, and they were able to shuffle appointments slightly to not only get to me on Monday, but during one of the two hours that I was available. Ted showed up on time, quickly changed out all the locks and re-keyed them so that I only need one key for all locks, gave me 5 new keys, and also noticed that one of my doors should have been set a little higher - it was scraping the threshold - so he adjusted that up a bit and now it swings freely. I could not be happier and I will definitely recommend to anyone who asks. Thanks!

Their customer service was great, returned my call promptly, called day of service to give me the time frame and their technician Tom was very good and does good work, you can tell he makes sure his work is done right the first time.

Was able to squeeze me in the same day. Took care of removing 3 locks that I needed cut. Afterwords, adjusted my patio door and fixed my storm door. Did it quickly and at an extremely reasonable price.

I contacted the company in advance of closing on my new home to schedule appointment for closing date. Company made notation and I was instructed to contact the company as soon as closing was completed. I contacted the company and the representative / locksmith was out within the hour to rekey the lock. I decided to have an additional lockset installed and have a deadbolt placed on an interior door. The locksmith was prompt, professional, courteous and cleaned up the work areas. I would definitely recommend Ted Hall Locksmith and wouldn't hesitate to contact them again.

We had a skeleton key break in the lock of an when trying to unlock old door leading to our porch. It seemed hopeless. Ted Hall locksmith opened the door, made a new key and it opens and closes like a charm. He explained who the lock works and what causes it to get jammed in the first place so that it won't happen again.

I called a few days before we were set to move into our new home. I was able to get an appointment exactly when I requested. However, the technician showed up several hours after my appointment time. I had to call twice before they got someone to come to the house. If I hadn't taken the day off I probably would have cancelled the appointment. The technician came and was able to replace all of the locks in a reasonable amount of time. Later that same evening one of the locks failed to work. I couldn't open the door once it closed even though it was unlocked. I called first thing the next morning and explained what happened. I asked that they send someone right away because I had movers coming that morning to deliver our stuff. They sent a technician over and fixed the problem quickly. I chose Ted Hall because of their great reviews on Angie's list. The actual service provided was good. however, i dont believe i would use them again due to the fact that they were several hours late with no warning and the needed to come back to fix the lock the next day. Maybe it was a fluke (no bad reviews on the website), but I have to rate the service as it was provided. I was told (during my second phone call) that the lateness was due to excessive emergency calls that day. However, I don't really think that is a reasonable response - that's why I made an appointment. Even if that were the case, a phone call as a heads-up probably could have made the difference in making me a repeat customer.

I just moved into a new house, and needed the locks changed. I called Ted Hall Locksmiths and they sent somebody over in less than an hour. The locksmith was friendly and professional. The quick service resulted in one less thing I needed to worry about.

Ted Hall Locksmiths have earned another customer for life. The afternoon of my closing they promptly arrived - even though it was nearing the end of the day. All three locks were efficiently re-keyed and keys were copied. In addition, upon noticing that one door did not close properly, he even straightened the door and adjusted the strike plate at no additional charge! I will be using this company for all of my locksmith and alarm system needs. A complete A+ endorsement for their services.

We had made an appointment with Ted for the morning of 2/5, the day after we took possession of our house. After the closing, which took place very late in the afternoon, we decided that we wanted to have all the locks in the home re-keyed that evening. We called Ted. He said he'd try to make it and would call us back with the time. He did and arrived exactly on time. The cost was higher than our original appointment time would have been since it was treated as an emergency call. We thought that was fair. We would certainly call on Ted again and we highly recommend him.
