All work was completed in one day (replacing electric meter box, new double grounding rods and wires, new electrical mast and reattaching mast to house).

All work was performed as scheduled. Patrick and his assistant showed up at the appointed time and complete the work within the time frame I had set. The work site was cleaned up and Patrick left brochures about other electrical I might think about having done. Although I had more work done than I initially planned it was all completed in a very professional and timely manner. I would definitely use this company again.

Each time his work has been excellent. He has always been on time and cleaned up after finishing the work. Besides the work he takes time to talk with you and explain what has to be done or what he is doing. His costs have been reasonable in fact his cost to put in our generator was below other estimates I received. His assistants are also personable. I definitely would recommend Pat to others and would use him in the future if needed.

While I'm pretty competent doing electrical work, the problem I encountered was strange. I was going to open up a wall in my house to get at the wiring but decided to consult with Ben Franklin Electric first. Pat came over within 1 hour and took about 15 minutes to figure out what was wrong - turned out to be a faulty circuit breaker. He drove out and purchased a new one, installed it and all was good. Total charge of about $300 including the breaker seemed more than fair. Excellent experience, I'd use them again in a heart beat.

We have mixed feelings about this company- they are knowledgeable and proficient but somewhat difficult to get to follow up. We had a contract for generator service which included (so they said) regular "check ups" for maintenance but when we called them in the early winter to make sure everything was OK it was difficult to get them to live up to the service promised. They eventually did come out and changed the oil but not the air filter and it's been a challenge to get them to come back as promised. Our contract expires and we have chosen to go with another company

I felt the service was fair priced and everything works well. They were fine, they were friendly. I had one other estimate that was more. I am going to use them again.

They were on time, courteous and clean. The price was reasonable.

We needed a new 110 line for our new gas stove. We called Ben Franklin and he was able to give us a price ad then came and installed a new outlet within about an hour after we called. I will be using them in the future for my eletrical needs.

I would highly recommend Benjamin Franklin Electric. Pat the owner, was not only very competitive with his estimate for the job, but provided a great customer service experience. He took time to explain the entire process in a through manner, and ensured that the work area and inside the home were kept neat at all times. I would definitely use Benjamin Franklin Electric again!

After quickly analyzing that all I had to do was use some elbow grease to throw my fuse back into the 'on' position (how embarrassing!), Pat took about ten minutes to educate me on how the appliances we were using merely just blew out the fuse and that I would need to be careful not to overload the circuit with space heaters and irons. He was prompt as scheduled and came in to my home with a great attitude, even though it was a messy, snowy Saturday. When it came time for compensation, I was amazed that Pat did not accept payment for his services. He saw I was a new, uninformed home owner and would not take payment for the evaluation, as really, the only real problem was my lack of experience. What a kind gesture, great guy. We will definitely be calling Pat again in the future!!!

They are not recommended. It was after the huge snowstorm 2 yeas ago and we had them replace our power box on the outside of our house and the wiring to a generator inside. They did 2 big jobs for us. They put the box in the wrong place and I had to have them move it and they were not pleasant about having to do that. They also labeled and mis-wired things wrong and my husband had to change them. They did mentioned they would come back the next day and check everything in the morning, and they did not come back when I called them, because they were not close by. As I remember they did not do things in a timely manner either. They took all day and kept leaving.

Due to damage from Hurricane Sandy, all of the electrical wiring was pulled off of my house when an electrical pole fell. I was without power for 10 days but was told that even if they got power restored, that I would have to get an electrician to replace the wiring and box on my house so that I could be hooked back up when they worked on my neighborhood. The second job was done a month later when I bough a generator from them and had my fuze box wired to accommodate the generator so that I would only have to flip a switch to switch to generator power and start up the generator. Benjamin Franklin Electric was able to come to my home within a day and replace the fuze box, the outdoor box and the wiring involved with those. Patrick was efficient and got the job done within a few hours. The generator wiring and delivery was also excellent.

They did a good job. They worked with me 2 different times. I had them install the ceiling lights, recess lights and some other lights too. One time there was 2 electricians and the other time it was just 1. They did a good job both times. They were prompt in replying and did timely work. They also accommodated to my schedule. When they did the electrical job, they made some cuts and they did have to patch the wall a little bit and that was the only minor thing that happened.

Waited four hours. I finally called them and they said they wouldn't be able to come. I asked why they couldn't have let me know earlier and they simply said sorry.

Pat and Austin came to change the ballast in the laundry room fluorescent light fixture, install a new hanging light fixture in the kitchen, and change the ceiling with no light fixture to one with a light fixture. They worked quickly and answered several questions that my husband and I asked. We just moved into our new home, so many of the fixtures and light switches are quite different from our former home. Austin swept the floor where debris had fallen. We have a few more electrical projects planned, and we plan to use Benjamin Franklin Electric again in the near future.

I scheduled service with this provider but they failed to appear for the work. Prior to scheduling service, I checked twice to be sure they provided service in my area & was assured they did. On the morning of the appointment, they didn't show. I called to find out where they were, & I was assured they were coming,(now in the afternoon). Only after my second call, was I informed they do not even provide service in my area, (Morris County NJ). They apologized, but this cost me a days pay & the need to reschedule another day with a different supplier. Ben Franklin did apologize, but didn't do anything to help me. Really, how hard can it be to determine if a potential customer is within your service area? I rescheduled with a local electrician who performed the work right on time.

We called this provider and others. Ben Franklin called us back and spent 15 minutes troubleshooting, which resolved the problem. They did not charge for their advice. We were very impressed with their integrity and plan to use them in the future.

From start to finish Pat was excellent, he was easy to contact direct and competitive with his pricing and was able to work around my schedule to come do the work. They arrived on time as scheduled and worked all day to get this install done. After the job was completed, Pat recommended I have a whole house surge protect installed, which I am going to make an appointment and have him install. I had tried to contact a few other electricians, and either did not receive a call back, prices were way to high, and could not work with my schedule. This company is great and I recommend you give them a call and use them for your projects. I will be using this company again for my electrical needs

They did a fine job and they were prompt and came out the same day.

Paul came to discuss some electrical problems and noticed that we do not a surge protector installed. I agreed to have it installed and the installation is prompt and neat.

Benjamin Franklin Electric had just installed a whole house generator for a friend who was happy with their work. When she asked them about whole house surge protection they mentioned that they were running a special which she passed along to me. Last year due to a problem out at the pole across the street from my house, I had lost a number of appliances and electronics to the subsequent electrical surge. Consequently the extra protection of a whole house surge protector was attractive. They agreed to install the same for me at the price they had quoted her. They scheduled the work at my convenience and showed up promptly. They were pleasant and professional and explained exactly what they were going to do so that I understood what changes were being made at the electrical panel. The work was performed quickly and efficiently with minimal disruption. Hopefully I will never have to test the whole house surge protector's performance. Based on my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Prompt responsive service. Received call back day I called for estimate on generator. Pat came to house same day and explained exactly what he recommended for generator and why. I wanted a whole house generator. He explained why he felt a partial house was more cost effective and what it would cover. He took the time to thoroughly understand my needs. I knew almost immediately I wanted to work with this company. They were not the cheapest--middle of the road, but by far the most attentive. Would I recommend? Absolutely without reservation. I took out a three year service contract which covers twice yearly oil change and filter change on the generator. Pat also felt a whole house electrical surge protector would be beneficial. He did not try to shove it down my throat, he explained how it worked and why I should consider it. He then directed me to a coupon to save 40% . Bottom line you get what you pay for and this company proves that point

Service provider (Pat) was very professional. Everything was installed as planned. Very thorough and in a timely manner. Provided guidance in selecting proper essential back up service, as well as suggested the install for house surge protector. I would highly recommend for additional work and would recommend to other households. Excellent workmanship.
