I was skeptical of Suburban Morris as previous reviews were not good. I had 7 water softening companies give me an estimate. Suburban sent John Noon and I can not say enough good things about him and their service. Price was very competitive and fair. Most importantly John was extremely helpful, professional, and honest throughout the process, without the expected sales pitch. He spend a good amount of time educating me on the every aspect of water softening, where I felt comfortable sifting through what was truly important. I highly recommend John and Suburban and am very thankful I gave them a chance.

Please do not expect customer service. I have been trying since October 28 to obtain records for my service. Finally, Patricia informed me no records were on file. Cause was a switch-over of the computer system a year back. How will warranty be verified? When will salt delivery be scheduled? Why didn't Suburban Morris alert its customers? Made many calls with no response. John Noon asked to speak to Patricia. Courtney asked to speak to Jim Van Overhorn. Are company's own employees in the dark? Why did it take so long to admit the records are missing? Company has not helped with its Professionalism. Have been a customer since 1983. Thought I would get at least get a call back.

After renting from this company for more than 15 years and requiring service only twice, I have to say while their service people or professional and try hard to "save" an unhappy customer, their inside personnel are abysmal. A total lack of responsiveness to issues. Never once did any salesperson ever call in all those 15+ years to upgrade or make a "thank you" contact. After the most recent service call, there was an opportunity to keep me as a customer if only they'd responded to the service person's request for a sales call, they didn't get around to calling me until 2 days later after I called to have the unit removed.
Description of Work: The service person arrived on a timely basis on an after-hours service call. He listened to my issue and inspected the machine indicating that a key piece had broken....to be expected in a machine that old.....he disconnected the machine and promised someone would call me the next day when I could discuss replacing the equipment with new. He told me I should expect a call the next day. It never came.

After renting a softener from this company for 10 years, I have terminated my relationship with them. On Monday, 12/30/13, the softener displayed an error code during regeneration. Since the softener was clearly inoperative, I expected prompt repair. Instead, service was not scheduled until that Friday. That appointment was justifiably cancelled because of a bad snow storm, and I was told they would call the next Monday to reschedule. They did not call as promised. Instead, I had to call them. Once again, the earliest date for service was Friday morning, 1/10. At 1 PM, after no repair person showed up or called, I called Suburban Morris and was told that Patricia was at lunch, but would call when she returned. At 3:30, when she had not called, I called again but never got to talk to Patricia. Instead, my call was transferred to the repair company, which turned out to be an answering machine. I left a message, but never received a call back. Now that I have cancelled my rental agreement and requested that they remove their equipment, I've finally gotten some attention, but it's too late. Repairs for Suburban Morris seem to be done by Jayson. If you're thinking of using Suburban Morris, I'd suggest calling Jayson instead. You might get a more direct line to the people actually doing the work.
