The agent representing the buyer (me) was outstanding. The agent was responsive, professional, understood the area, and was an excellent resource in the transaction process. The problem was with the listing agent and the Broker. This agent mis-represented something in the home during and after the home's inspection. Additionally, there was specific information requested as part of my attorney's due diligence regarding rules and regulations and a membership that run with this property, as it is part of a Country Club. The listing agent was asked to get the documentation, as it was this agent's listing. After waiting a week and realizing this agent wasn't going to get the documentation, I contacted the appropriate people and secured the documents that were needed. This agent lives 5 minutes from where the documentation was, and did nothing to get it. I live out of state, and in the end had to figure out how to get these documents for my attorney to review. Based on the misrepresentation issue being brought to the attention of the Broker Owner of this agency, an agreement was reached that provided for reimbursement to the buyer (me) for the misrepresentation. Seven months have passed since purchase, and despite repeated calls and requests to the Broker both from me and the agent at this firm who represented me, I still have not been reimbursed as promised by the Broker Owner. When it comes time to sell this home, I will not use this Real Estate Agency. Integrity and doing what one commits to doing is essential in any business. This is not what I have experienced to date with this Real Estate Agency.
