Responded FAST to our call and Responsive to Q&A's. The crew was courteous, clean and professional and stayed on schedule. Doug Carlson is very kind and immediately followed up to inquire whether or not we were completely satisfied. This roof has weathered Hurricane Sandy brilliantly. Highly recommend!

Carlson Brothers responded quickly to my call. Doug came the following morning and provided an estimate a few hours later via email. Carlson Brothers has developed a unique interactive program to walk you through the roofing process and select features that suit your needs. Because I'm not familiar with the particulars of roofing, Doug came again the next day and helped me select the features needed for my situation and budget. Denise from the office was very responsive to my requests/questions and quickly sent the paperwork needed for our housing association application. Due to a delay with another job, they were able to fit me in that week - 3 days later. Ron pick up the deposit - right on time. Everything happened that day as they explained beforehand; the men arrived as scheduled and finished the job within the day including clean up. A very professional, punctual, and responsive company. Carlson Brothers gets my vote!

Doug Carlson was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was reliable, professional, had great workmanship, and helped us tremendously after an initial botched roofing job by another contractor. I can't speak highly enough of Doug and recommend him to anyone who needs work done on their property. He finished the reroofing in a few days as promised and also helped fix additional problems we had including locating and connecting a severed sewer line, water pooling on the flat roof, and a rip in the roofing from a downed satellite dish from high wind. He was more than willing to answer all of our questions and address any concerns we had, even after the project was completed.

PLEASE NOTE: I had no work done by this company and I'm not commenting on their quality. I'll never get to judge that because they don't service Weehawken. NOTE TO CARLSON BROS: Please change your "Service Area" to "Some parts of New Jersey". It currently reads "New Jersey". Weehawken is in NJ, last time I checked (it's actually where Henry Hudson first moored his boat and came ashore). Don't waste our time if you only work in one geographic area of the Garden State. Also: You also mentioned you're up in Ramsey, though your Angie's List address is Fair Lawn. Bit of a difference. One last thing: don't so sound pleased to tell someone "We don't service your area". It's annoying.

We are very satisfied with them. They were excellent. They have been always very prompt. They were courteous. They did most of the things that they came back for without any charge. They are very nice to deal with. They are very nice workers. I highly recommend them. They were very gentlemanly. They were fine. They were quick and took care of things. They were just great. I had no complains and I will use them again. I have recommended them to friends. Their price was just right in the middle. They were not expensive and they were not the cheapest. It was fair. It was not over the top.

These guys are great, showed up the next day to inspect the roof. Fist made suggestion before replacing the whole roof. This shows the honestly of their business. They are NOT in the business to take people's money but to provide the service that is needed to make the customer happy. Very happy I found them. Thanks to AngieList.

Estimate for replacing the shingles along the rear of the house that ran edge to edge (edge runner) was priced well and received timely! They came out and evaluated the property to provide the estimate for free! Would have scheduled the work if my landlord had allowed me to.

I was having a problem with a leak coming from my roof. I filled out a contact form on their website on a Thursday morning. I had a call back before lunch that day. They came out to inspect my roof on Friday, and they started and completed the work the following Monday. They were pleasant and professional throughout the process. I would recommend them to anyone with a similar issue.

Very professional crew and owner. They replaced lower front porch, broken hip, rafters and sheeting. Replaced damaged fascia, soffit & aluminum. They also replaced all damaged gutters and replaces shingles. All the repairs happened in a timely manner and was quality work.

About 6 weeks ago I noticed dampness in a closet and on the finished attic ceiling. I contacted few companies and Carlson Brothers got back to me within 24 hours. They were here to do an estimate within a day and 2 days later my gutters and roof were repaired. I loved that they too pictures of the damaged areas so I could see exactly what needed to be done. Once I decided to go with them, they came within 48 hours to do the work. I was going to wait longer to submit a review, but since that time we have experienced at least 3 really strong rainstorms including one that resulted in area flooding and everything has remained perfectly dry. I am extremely happy with their courtesy, promptness, professionalism, quality of work and price. I will need to replace the roof in another couple of years and they will be the first people I call to do the work.

It was great. Came when they said they would for an estimate, put on the new roof within a week of meeting the boss. The 7 men did the job very professionally were respectful and extremely neat.

When we called him for an estimate, he was here within two days. He was so good to work with. He got the job done within a couple of days. He was very polite and courteous. We highly recommend him. We're actually using him again to re-roof the detached garage.

Things went very well. Ron's crew came by at the time that they said they would be there. The three crew members were not only very professional, but very polite as well. They answered any questions that I had along the way as well as made sure that they cleaned up everything. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs to have their roof repaired or replaced. Should I need to replace the roof on the rest of my house Carlson Brothers will be my first phone call.

My new roof looks great and the work was performed within one week. The workmen were quiet and neat and very serious and also punctual. Doug Carlson was very responsive to my requests and was always readily available for any questions.He provided information on the work being performed every step of the way. I would highly recommend Carlson Bros. roofers to anyone on Angies List. In fact I am pleased to be able to recommend them because choosing a roofer can be a daunting task and I am happy if this review can help someone and give them the confidence to make the best choice. My experience was superb from the moment I called for an estimate. I had also gotten 3 other estimates and found Carlson's estimate to be very fair. In short, I have a big house and in the 30 years I have lived in it, roofers have come and gone ...... If Angies List and Carlson Bros was here around 30 years ago it I could probably have saved me alot of money and trouble. In my opinion Carlson Roofers are the best !!!!

Checked roof for a leak we have during heavy rain in a second floor bathroom. Found a nail hole in the roof near the vent & sealed it. No charge. I'm amazed that this kind of service exists! Called yesterday to make an appointment and was given a time for today. Ron came on time, checked my roof, took a picture to show me what he found and then sealed it. Said to call him after the heavy rain we're expecting tomorrow if it still leaks. Recommended replacing the vent if the sealant doesn't fix the problem. Very reasonable price for the vent replacement too! So impressed with this company!

After a few days of pouring rain, I discovered rain dripping through one of my bathroom vents. I called Carlson Brother's the next day and they were able to work around my schedule to come out and give me a quote. Upon scheduling the service, they once again were able to work within my schedule. On the morning of the service I received a call that they were running a little late (not a problem, and I appreciated the call!). Once they arrived they went right to work and had the vent and surrounding shingles replaced in no time. They even looked over some of the other vents on my roof and sealed up any areas prone to leaks. Would definitely use again!

Ron came to check out a leak in our back addition's roof and told us that not only was the roof too flat, but it had the wrong type of shingles. He suggested an EPDM roof system. They completed the work quickly and right on point with the estimate. It has rained a few times since getting the new roof and so far no more leaks!

Adding to my recent review. As promised Carlson Brothers were at the house at 830 am (hammering woke me up). Gutters went in without a problem and they suggested improvements to my downspouts so they are better layed-out then they were before they started the project - always a good thing. So impressed with what I have seen so-far, I am meeting with Doug next week to go over a phase 2 project (new siding, new double car garage door and windows). Couldn't be more pleased. Thanks Angie and thanks to all those that have provided such great reviews to-date. I picked these guys because of all you. And now I will recommend Carlson Brothers to friends and family.

Doug Carlson is incredible! He redid our flat roof completely a couple of years ago and gave us warranty for 15 years. His service is unbelievable! He comes up to our house every time I call him and ask him to check (not even repair) something. He also volunteers to clean up the leaves on a roof and verify its condition. Doug is the best contractor you can wish for!

Entered into an agreement with Doug from Carlson Bros in December 2013 to replace the roof on my old barn and add a decorative cupola and weathervien. Due to varying reasons (snow/weather, my busy schedule etc) we completed the project this week -- in ONE long day, start to finish, and it was a race against mother nature (rain this time, not snow). I couldn't be more pleased with the work done. From Denise at the office keeping in contact with me weekly and working with me on picking out the perfect cupola (I already owned the weathervein), to Doug quoting me the price and meeting with me again before they started the project (to make sure we are all still on the same page) and several times during the day, to their extremely professional crew. I've hired contractors in the past and I have never seen such an efficient and professional group - everyone knows exactly what their jobs is, what the others are working on and the all seem to enjoy what they do and I couldn't be more happy with how things turned out. It is apparent that this crew has been working together for a long time. Due to the rain we agreed to add the gutters this weekend (again, them working around my schedule) and I am sure I will be happy with that. I have already talked to them about qouting me a price for new siding - just need to save up a few dollars before I start that project. I would recommend these guys to anyone needing a new roof or siding. They Truly Exceeded my Expectations! And that rarely happens these days.
