Previous Friday I sent in the estimate, they promptly followed up and told us they would be here the next Monday or Tuesday. With small jobs like this, I am used to getting the dreaded "stuck at a big job" call, but the two man team arrived first thing in the morning on Monday, so that was a great start. They saw what was needed and went about their business. When completed they had repaired what was needed and actually repaired another small area on a different soffit. How nice was that! It looks good they were punctual and professional. I would absolutely use them again.

Carlson Brothers responded to my call in one day and sent Ron to give an estimate. There was a mix-up about the time Ron was coming, but after calling the company he came right away. He was very pleasant and accomodating with price and sceduling the repair. Two workers showed up on time ( also pleasant), did the work, and charged the exact figure quoted. It was a small job,so I thought it would be hard to find a company to come. There was no delay or complaints about coming to perform a job so small. I once before called Carlson Brothers to help a friend of mine who had a roof leak. I took care of all the arragements for the repair. Ron was quick to respond and immediatley knew what had to be done to fix the problem. The job was scheduled and performed as quoted. Because of this smooth experience, I called him to fix the shingles on MY roof. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I certainly have no way of knowing whether this roofer is good at the work he does . He may be a good roofer, but he has no right to repair a roof in good condition,without first looking for another cause.

So far so good. Company was quick and responsive and had a new roof on my house within a week of first inquiry. Fully insured employees. Especially informative website and transparent pricing should serve as a model in the industry. No pushy upselling. Would use again.

The job went very professionally and quickly. Initially there was a lot of phone tag, but we are very happy with the finished product. People have stopped to inquire about it.

I had a very positive experience with Carlson Brothers. First, they responded to my initial call promptly. I called around and left messages at a few places and they got back to me quickly whereas several others took a week or more (and a few never responded). I had a small leak in my pitched shingle roof. Their representative (I forget his name) came over and had a look, explained it was a simple nail pop that I could easily fix myself, and explained exactly how to do it and what to look for. For the record he also explained that there was a repair they could make as well, but gave me assurance that it was a simple repair for someone comfortable with handywork around the house. Overall a great experience I will absolutely contact them again for future roofing needs based on their responsiveness, professionalism, and integrity.

Person on the phone indicated a estimator would come by the house and assess if he could because of the snow on the roof. The operator also indicated I would get call the same day. Two days passed and no call. I did call back 2 days later and was told the estimator did come by. And he could not do the work because of the snow one the roof. I asked if he got out of the car and came around back to see the roof (back roof). The roof s in front have zero snow and the back roof has some by the gutter. The operator said yes. I don't believe they even came out. There are no foot prints in the backyard where the estimator would have had to look from. I walk back there with my dog every day. I hate to be negative but lets be honest.

Rich Carlson was punctual, courteous, clear and knowledgeable. I had a small water leakage in the Master bedroom. First, he took a look at the inside and through the window to have a better idea of its location once he was on the roof. He performed a throughly inspection of the tiles around the leakage area and the whole roof. He looked at the condition of the tiles from the over and under. His assessment confirmed a poor installation of the tiles but, contrary to Powell's roofing solution of changing the whole roof on that side of the dormer (please refer to my review under each provider), he proposed to change a 4'x4' area that would repair the leakage zone and surroundings. I found it very honest and reasonably priced. No waiting period as previous estimates from two weeks to up to one month. Leakage was stopped and haven't had a problem since.

We had some leaking from the roof and we contacted Carlson Bros. to take a look because we were worried about the seriousness of the problem. Ron showed up on time for appointment. He looked at the leaks and carefully explained the problem was due to snow-freezing-thaw and it's special weather related and it is not a big problem the roof or structure of house. A heavy burden was lifted from our mind. May 2014 Ron also helped us fix a leaking problem in our roof due to a nail popping up. He did not charge anything as his company did our roof about 15 years ago. Very please with the services and professionalism.

Our roof was a mess after last winter. Old skylights leaking, ice dams and shingles damaged or missing. The Carlson Brothers did an outstanding job from the initial estimates to the completed project. Their web page presentation described every aspect of the roof replacement, what products were available and allowed me to select the roof and materials that best suited my needs. They did the work as promised and on time. The old shingles, skylights and cutters were removed. A new ridge vent was added and then the new roof, skylights and cutters were put on. The yard was completely cleaned up after the work was done. We were away when they did the work and except for the new roof you could not tell they had been there at all. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone I know and I would call the Carlson Brothers for any work I might need in the future. Great job!

He inspected the leak and explained that he thinks the leak is coming from the wall. He recommended a product for me to try before replacing the roof. He was very helpful.

A crew of seven arrived on time and went to work preparing for the removal process. The house and plantings were protected with large tarps so nothing would be damaged. After the old shingles were scraped off, the plywood on the main part of the house was removed so the rafters that were sagging could be reinforced. New plywood was installed as needed. The crew used GAF ice shield and Timberline Shingles. After the first day the house was covered with a large tarp in case it rained. The job was completed by the end of the second day. Carlson Brothers did a fantastic job. The new roof looks great and the copper flashing is a nice accent. The house and plantings were not damaged in any way. Doug Carlson was a pleasure to work with. Due to a mix up on my part, the wrong color shingles were delivered and I did not realize this until the day before the job was supposed to start. I called Doug to tell him I needed to change the color of the shingles expecting this to be a problem. He told me to find the color shingle I wanted to use and he would take back the color I did not like. He assured me that he wanted me to be happy with the way the new roof looked and not worry about changing the shingle selection. I got estimates from six companies. Carlson was in the middle price wise. Their labor guarantee was better than the other companies I considered. I would not hesitate to recommend Carlson Brothers if you need a new roof. They are completely professional and a pleasure to deal with. Their pricing is also reasonable compared to other providers.

They are honest, prompt and professional. I contacted Carlson Brothers through the message service, they emailed me within the same day and we arranged a time and date for them to review it. I met Ron and he looked at what needed to be done and provided a very reasonable verbal estimate. We agreed on a date for the work to be done. The date was delayed due to rain but scheduled on the next clear day. The work was done on time for the amount agreed upon and they left my yard untouched (clean). I would definitely use them again and I highly recommend them.

We've had this company do roof repairs for us before. They're always prompt, reliable, do excellent work at a good price. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Came on time to investigate the issue, performed comprehensive investigation, and made recommendations. It turned out there was no need to repair the roof. I will definitely contact them in the future.

We had been in talks with Doug from Carlson Bros for a few weeks, along with a few other well rated contractors in the area, before picking Carlson as our choice to do this larger job on our home. It was important to us that we picked someone that had been working in our area for a long time, with great customer service, had the right products comparably to other contractors, to be reasonable with the costs of the products and job, but above all possessing the understanding of how to take care of our older home that needed some TLC. The Carlson crew by far had done the job that others wouldn't have been able to perform with such flexibility and without pressure, that in the end they had surpassed our expectations, even down to the minor details. At the completion of the job, we had a few minor aesthetic requests that were met with no hesitation and performed within a few days notice. Most definitely highly recommended.

We didn't look forward to this project as we knew it would be big, messy and noisy. But it all went amazingly well and we couldn't be happier with the service we received. We decided in May 2014 that we would finally have our old roof replaced. We chose 3 contractors with good reviews from Angie's List to discuss the job with us and provide their estimates. Doug Carlson provided us with a lot of information and discussed the different choices we had (who knew there was so much to know and decide about when getting a new roof?). We met three times with him, every time we bombarded him with new questions (yes, we are really getting into our 'projects' and want to know all the details of the job). Doug never tired of our lists of questions and answered them with an enthusiasm and knowledge that convinced us that his company would be the one to go with. (Full disclosure, we had hired his company previously for minor roof repairs and always were happy with the outcome, but this job was much bigger, hence checking with different contractors too) We very much liked how responsive Doug, and actually everybody from Carlson Brothers we dealt with during this project, was. Whenever we asked yet another question, we received an answer (and where needed an explanation) right away. He came across as very honest and somebody with a lot of experience in his job. Of course we also appreciated that the price was reasonable (we did not look for 'cheap' and are happy to pay for good quality) and he did not try to sell us anything we didn't need (though we went for a high quality solution, as this is our home and we plan to live in it for many years). There was also no pressure at all (none of the 'if you sign today, I can offer you a better price..' or 'Actually, we just got an opening two weeks from now, if you book today, we can offer you....' - we have all been there and for us this would have been a turn-off). It took us some time to decide on all the details, but the job was finally scheduled for mid August. Doug had predicted that the project would take two full days, due to the fact that our main roof had three layers of old shingles, including the original cedar shakes from 1936. The whole job really only took two days. The crew arrived on Monday morning perfectly on time and they started the job right away. Jose, the team leader, did a great job coordinating his crew and responding to yet more questions from our side. The whole crew worked very hard and at the end of the first day, the old roof was gone, the new plywood was installed as was most of the IceShield and Weatherwatch. They had worked very hard that day and still cleaned up at the end of the day. The next morning they were all back on time, putting in another day of hard work, installing our solar attic fan, the shingles and replacing our flat roof and some siding above the flat roof. Everything went very well. As is to be expected with such a big project, there were a couple of misunderstandings (where the fan should , where one of the bathroom fan outlets should be moved, etc), but they were immediately taken care of to our full satisfaction. Jose was a pleasure to deal with and Doug was available (to call) every time we had a question. Doug was on site every day to check in and his brother came to check in too. We really felt taken care of. The clean up at the end of the job was very thorough too. The crew went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with their job. Denise, who works in Carlson Brothers' office, was very helpful and responsive with scheduling, confirming agreements, and providing all the documentation we requested. Now we have a beautiful roof, it passed the first rain test (the coming winter will be the real test) and are happy that it all went so smoothly without any bad surprises or damage. And Carlson Brothers has a couple of very happy and satisfied customers.

He came on time and was very friendly and professional. We keep our floor very clean that we don't wear shoes inside and he took off his shoes before coming in. (Thanks. May people don't have this courtesy.) He fixed our main concern (attic vent) and also noticed other problems and gave me a good price and fixed them right away, and did extra work for me getting his ladder out again. I really appreciate it. I strongly recommend this company to anyone who needs help with their roofs.
