Work was done professionally and in addition they provided explanations and photos as to the cause of the roof leakage the manner in which it would be repaired and corrected.

They did a great job on a minor roof repair. I think what stood out is they assessed the job and didn't try to sell me a bunch of other stuff like an entire roof. They could have been a little bit better on the formality of their invoicing; it was a little mom and pop-like. It was fair price for the job. I have no leaks.

The old roof had to be stripped off. They replaced any damaged wood and used all the most up to date products. They gave me several choices to choose from without any pressure to take the most expensive. Their quote was better by a few thousand dollars below at least 4 others who quoted. I compared the materials and they had the same or better. The crew was friendly and diligent and made sure the property was cleaned up. They took care not to damage any of the landscaping and even worked around the satellite dish which others told me they had to take it off and I had to pay to put it back on. The 3 brothers who own the company where by the job site several times. Anyone needing a roof in north jersey would be crazy not call them.

So far so good and no leak after they came to repair in 2016. I don't exactly remember how good they were. The only issue I had was that the asphalt color was a little off from my original roof, and they told be that it was because there's always a discrepancy because my roof was older. You can definitely tell that there's a color difference. Luckily my home association's inspection let me go with the color mismatch, otherwise I would have to do it over again.

Called them on Monday morning after a heavy rain storm because my roof was leaking. They came same day and checked the roof without any charge. Turned out that it's a simple fix. They didn't need to do any work but they were honest, and lead me in the right direction. I will for sure give them my business in the future

I made an appointment the previous week for an estimate at 4:30 on a Monday. I was home. My car was in the driveway. My door was open! I took my dogs to the back yard before the person was supposed to come. At 4:30, when he was scheduled to arrive, I found a note in my mailbox that someone was here at 4:20. My phone did not ring. There was not a truck in my driveway. I left a message on their machine explaining what had happened. Whoever is doing their estimates does not want to work very hard. Don't waste your time with these people.

Ron came by our home early morning to give us an estimate. He was very accommodating with the time. He checked the roof quickly and gave a fair estimate. We got the work done the following day. Easy, no hassle. Will call these guys again for any future work needed.

So ... after the rain this past weekend - we realized that we were getting water through our ridge vent. Monday morning I called Carlson Bros, Inc, and spoke with Denise. I explained to her what the situation was - and Ron came out that same day. He mentioned that he needed to come inside and see - so we scheduled him to come back Tuesday. Ron came back and met with my husband and confirmed that it was the ridge vent that needed to be replaced and we also had them flash the chimney. Work was scheduled for the upcoming Saturday morning. Denise gave me a window between 830 and 9AM. 8:58 two very nice professional gentlemen came to the house - went up the roof replaced the ridge vent - flashed the chimney - cleaned up after themselves and showed us what was there - and what it was replaced with. Needless to say it is 627pm and it just poured rain - the attic is bone dry! Thanks for the prompt response to my initial call - and the punctuality of their crew. When it is time for a new roof - this is the only call I'll be making!

Carlson Bros. did a great job. The new roof and insulation was completed in a day and a half and the new gutters and leaders were completed in half a day. I would highly recommend them. The quality of their work is high. All of the workers were pleasant and very professional. They also did a great job with the clean up.

Wonderful. We had a pesky leak at the joining of the roof and bedroom wall (refinished attic) that no one could fix -- all who saw it said it was not the skylight. Ron Carlson took one look, said it was, replaced the skylight and voila! no leak. responsive, professional installers, great price. what is not to like?

They came the same day I called and gave me estimate. Their crew came a few days after that to do the work as scheduled. I have not had any problems with the installation of the new vent.

I've had an intermittent problem with the leaking roof. Multiple previous efforts to identify the source of the leak and multiple attempts to fix it failed, until I called Carlson Bros. Within minutes, Ron knew where the water was coming from. The solution was to replace a small strip, and he was very reasonable with the price. I also hired them to fix a smaller problem with the bathroom vent, and had the same great experience. I waited before writing the review, but 9 months later I had zero leaks. I highly recommend Carlson Bros. and will definitely hire them again.

Work went quite well, they changed roof, he eagerly came back second time to remove a vent which I opted to put it but was not needed.

As a new homeowner I'm still in the process of discovering all the little problems hiding in my new house. I called Carlson (based on AL reviews and proximity) to do an evaluation/estimate of the cause of a leak in my bathroom (non-plumbing wall) that I suspected was originating from the skylight. They came by to take a look, pointed out what they suspected to be the problem, and gave an estimate. After procrastinating for a bit (distracted by our wedding), then paying for it during a heavy downpour, I called Carlson back to do the quoted work. They had appointments available within a reasonable time. We were away on our honeymoon when they came to do the job but my Dad was pet and house-sitting and said they did good work, replacing the flashing and ice shield for the skylight and surrounding shingles, and the invoice was just as quoted. No sign of water during subsequent rain and snow. I'm glad I got it done before Jonas!

The person that answered the phone in the office and the roofer they sent were very professional. This is a rare company that is professional, punctual and most of all honest. When it's time to replace the roof I will call Carlson Brothers!!! The company from Craigslist (that was here before I called Carlson) didn't even go on the roof and wanted to charge me $2,500 to repair the "entire section of roof" were the leak was.

Rescheduled appointment several times - first time showed up with no ladder and no truck and second time just didn't show up.

We found a leak in our roof a few days ago. We scrambled to find a roof repair person to come take a look and hopefully repair the leak before Hurricane Joaquin came blowing by. Most of the firms we called either did not respond or could not come until after the following week. We called Carlson Brothers and the were able to schedule us right in. He came on time and did a quick inspection of the roof. He told me that the roof was fine, but some of the wood paneling on the chimney was rotting and that was how the water was coming in. He did not charge me for the visit and was friendly and courteous. I would call Carlson the next time I have roof trouble.

Job was completed truly professionally! Quote came in at half the price of other and project was started within days.

We talked to a LOT of contractors before hiring these guys to tear up and replace a portion of our roof. The did the job well at a good price, and we've had them back for a couple of other small things as well. They also seem really honest (when we called about a leak in our bathroom, they quickly inspected and told us that it was just that one single roof tile had been damaged in a very heavy storm, and they just fixed it for us and didn't charge). When we need our whole roof replaced in a few years, we're calling these guys.

Prior to the work, an employee stopped by to drop off a brochure with color examples for us to select (we were out so the brochure was left on the porch which was fine.) Denise called several times to schedule the appointment and as there was a cancellation, they were available to come earlier. Two employees arrived on time, rang the doorbell to let us know that they were here and started work immediately. They were quiet, quick and kept the work areas clean. They returned the next day to work on the tool shed as they needed more materials. All in all, a great job.

Job went very well from start to finish.

Doug Carlson sent a link for an estimate without having inspected the roof which required me to select numerous roofing component options. At the time, I had no knowledge about roofing (I have since had several other estimates, inspections, and education). He came several days later and walked around inside the house surveying inside damage from leaks/harsh winter. He did not go up on the roof or into the attic to inspect. Doug left saying that he would provide a more specific estimate for replacing the roof. Two weeks later, and despite several email exchanges with his office, there has been no further communication. Carlson Roofing came recommended by several neighbors but I hesitate to endorse these recommendations based upon my most recent experience.

I called to obtain an estimate and Ron came out to view the house. Shortly after that I received the proposal including the price. I had some questions regarding the vents which were answered promptly. Work was scheduled but had to be rescheduled a couple times as a result of the heavy rains which caused requests for urgent repairs. As my work was not urgent the rescheduling was OK. The crew were polite and friendly and the installation of the vents was done efficiently and neatly with all debris cleaned up.

This review is long over due, Doug was great, his crew came when scheduled and worked hard to get the job done on time. We had to wait a bit as Dough was really busy, but it was well worth the wait. If all contractors were like Dough and his crew it would be a pleasure to get work done. Our experience was very positive. When the job was done everything was left clean, clean, clean. The crew was so wonderful we bought them pizza for lunch. No one wants to have to replace a roof but Doug made the process painless,
