After months of searching for a roofer who was actually interested in doing the work, Angie's List helped me find Carlson Bros. These guys were prompt, clean and honest....who could ask for anything more!

Very pleasant team who take care in their work and clean up afterwards.

Called for the estimate in July. Unable to move forward until January. They scheduled time, came on time and completed the job on time. Clean up was done each day they were on site. They came back after the snow melted to do a final clean up. The office staff was extremely pleasant and worked with payment schedule.

i called them and they return calls in a timely manner and also respond to e-mail ( a big plus). took about a week to come out to do estimate, but came when they said they would come. left estimate. final bill was same as estimate. they cleaned up the area, even the shingles that had blown off. notified me when they would do the work and did it when they said they would. i found that their price was very fair compared to a few other estimates that i got. frankly, three other estimates i got were way too high for the work.

They were responsive from start to finish. I called and they immediately came out to my home to do an estimate. After accepting the estimate, they scheduled the work and completed it as planned. No muss, no fuss. And the price came in lower than the estimate.

Ron Carlson was not only a consummate professional, but he was our hero! He worked ceaselessly over the course of 2 months to resolve the roof leaking issues we were having, he was like a detective & refused to walk away (where many other providers have) until the issue was FULLY resolved. I would highly recommend them to ANYONE needing a reliable & extremely reasonable roofer.

We lost several roof shingles and some edge flashing during Sandy. A representative of Carlson Bros. came by and then emailed an estimate a few days after I called. When the repair was completed they charged us less than the estimate.

hurricane Sandy ripped off the siding from the front of our house, Ron from Carlson Bros. came out. emailed our estimate. He took the time to find the perfect color match. It was a frantic time of year for everyone after the nasty storm. Carlson brothers performed in stellar fashion.

I found them on Angie's List and I was very pleased with their service; everything was in place after they finished. They did exactly what they promised and also did some extra. They gave me a discount, did the job well and cleaned my property after the job was done. They managed expectations right; they said it would take about a day and a half and they did the entire job within one day. The explained what they would or would not do before the job began but they ended up doing more than I expected. I was very pleased with the quality and the way they did the entire job. I think their price was competitive.

After the storm Sandy, we noticed we were missing a piece of out aluminum siding near the roof of our house. Since we had Carlson Bros. replace our rook in 2006, we called them to get an estimate and then comntracted them to do the work. They came promptly and perfomed the job quickly. Unfortunately, one side came loose a week later during high winds. It was disappointing that it happened, but when we called the company, they dispatched someone the next day, which was a Saturday, and reattached the side that came loose. So far it's holding fine.

My Dad's house was damaged during a storm. I needed to make the arrangements for replacement of the roof from afar. Carlson was easy for me to deal with by email and phone. The roof looks good and no leaks.

As a first time Angie's List user I couldn't have asked for a better experience using Carlson Brothers. Their estimate to replace shingles blown off my roof during storm Sandy came in almost 1/2 as much as a previous company (easily making up the cost of joining Angie's), they came out the next day for the initial estimate and the work was done a few days later. No BS, no hidden costs and the final bill was actually lower than the estimate. Communication was very responsive. I first called and had to leave a voicemail, but I had a return call within 15 minutes. The person on the phone doesn't give off warm-fuzzies, but they didn't give me the run-around either. Considering my job was not very substantial I was not given a definite appointment time "tomorrow or Monday", but I also wasn't required to be there when the work was performed. Carlson Brothers showed up on Monday and as my wife opened the door for the lead guy there were two others already scaling ladders with shingles in-hand going up to the roof. They completed the work in what seemed like minutes, gave my wife a receipt and went on their way. The experience was so satisfying I'm now looking for other projects to hire Carlson Brothers to do...once I win the Powerball.

They were prompt, responsive, efficient and did a wonderful job with both the clean up and the installation. The price quoting was reasonable, the options were well explained, and the initial communication was efficient. My neighbor is also a difficult person to deal with and extremely particular with all details (i.e., the gutter being an inch to the left)and Doug has been very patient, helpful, and communicative in handling her. Overall a wonderful experience.

Doug Carlson came by my house within hours of my call and, while I was not available, left the quotation. I called and asked him to stop by again so that I could meet him and confirm some of the items that might be questionable on my roof (a soft spot, a raised spot and the "cricket" by the chimney). Doug came at the agreed time, was very helpful and knowledgeable and left me with a good feeling about his services. I had received other quotations, but was so impressed with Doug that I took advantage of Carlson's offer of a 5% cost reduction for cash in advance. The weather was not the best to do the work over the Holidays, but as the forecast got better, supplies were suddenly delivered on 1/4/13 and I was asked if they could start work on Monday, the 7th. The crew arrived at 7:30AM and proceeded to install protective draping. They removed the old roof, replaced sheathing in the "soft spot", rebuilt the "cricket", installed the ice barrier/underlayment and proceeded to install the shingles. They had a roll-off dumpster delivered midday, taking pains to make sure they were not blocking my access to vehicles and paying special attention that it should not injure my driveway. The debris from my old roof was then loaded by part of the crew while the ones on the roof installed my new roof. About 10 hours after they started, my new roof was installed and almost everything was back to normal. A walk around the in daylight Tuesday morning showed me that they had removed all the debris and left the area as pristine as they had found it. The dumpster was picked Tuesday. A couple of Carlson people showed up to recheck the area afterward, sweep up where the dumpster had been, and pick up the remaining unused materials. The only evidence that they had been here is my new roof.

It went as if I had a trusted friend in this company. Always returned my calls, and they matched the color and quality of the existing roof in the main house, as well as ripped off what was left of the garage roof, after storm Sandy, and replaced with quality materials, from start to finish.

Carlson brothers was a little more expensive compared to other estimates I received, but you get what you pay for. The roof was replace in early Sept, Hurricane Sandy hit and not one problem. They are worth any extra money, I highly recommend Carlson Brothers.

Overall, they made the process painless for me. I'm a teacher, so my schedule is pretty tight. They were so easy to work with!

called Carlson for an esimtate and they were reasonable. They repaired the roof quickly.

Overall it went very well. I was surprised that I was able to get the work done so promptly when there were so many homes in need of roofing work. My only criticism is that I received too many follow up emails prior to finalizing a contract. I suspect that their software sends the emails automatically. I found them somewhat annoying as I receive too much email as it is.

We had a very rainy week when the work was scheduled to be done, so they weren't able to come on the original day. However, the one nice day we did have, they showed up early and stayed until almost 8pm to finish everything in one day because the rain was coming back the next day! They protected the house during the project and did a great job cleaning up. They used a magnetic sweeper for the nails and we didn't find a single nail outside after they were finished. We were very happy with the work and everything has held up great during Sandy. We were glad to have the new roof and gutters at that point. I would highly recommend Carlson Brothers.

My roof was 25 years old. A ranch with 2 extensions. It took them 1 and 1/2 days to complete.. Mr. Carlson was very responsive to any of my questions and so was his office. When I sent an email at the end of the day, he responded within an hour. I appreciated that very much. When I was deciding on what color shingles to get, the office gave me the addresses in town where I could see the colors I was interested in on roofs they had done. All in all, they made the process very easy. on the homeowner. They did a beautiful job and left the grounds in perfect condition. Not a speck of any material could be found on the ground. In fact my property looked like it had been vacuumed.! I have no hesitation in recommending this company for a roofing job. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Loved working with this company. Came for an estimate right after I called. I believe it was a Sunday morning which was a great time for me. Most of the correspondence, estimate etc. was by email which was very convenient. The did an excellent job. The porch looks great, a major improvement from what it was. They did it all in one day and cleaned up well. Would use them again.

They responded quickly to my initial call and were punctual and professional for the estimate. They scheduled an appointment when the skylights were in and they were done in one day.

I gave the overall experience a C based off of the lack of response from the company. They were very professional and did do a good job, however it took several calls in order to get a response from the company as it seems they are very busy right now. Specifically my issues with responsiveness were: - It took two calls to get a response over 3 days - After assessing the issue it took another 3 calls to find out what the cause of the leak was as I never received an estimate - I tried to get a date for when the work would be performed and did not receive a reponse to when someone would show up - The work completed on the room without me even being notified anyone would be at the house. I found out about the repair after I started looking for other roofers due to the fact I never received a call back on scheduling the repair.
