Description of Work: Nick, the owner, gave us an estimate for a french drain system in our basement. He came from a distance and through rush hour to help us. He was knowledgeable and professional. Ultimately, we didn't use his company because they have been very successful and had a full schedule for the time frame we hoped to complete our project by. However, we would keep them in mind for future home improvement projects.

Description of Work: Demolitions and removal of of all extrrior walls in basement. Installed new French drain system with sump pumps. Nick the owner was great and always available. His workers very nice and courteous. I would definitely use them and recommend them. I had gotten an estimate from a competitor and I am glad a chose Scaldino.

Description of Work: Nick Scaldino's assistant called me and set an appointment for an estimate. She called me the day before to confirm the meeting. Nick showed up dressed professionally and told me where he thought the water was coming into my basement from as well as a price to fix it. We are still investigating both the cause and the price but will not, at this point, hesitate to call Nick Scaldino to do the work.

Description of Work: After 20 years of having a dry basement I was suddenly getting water coming through one of our window wells. They redug the window well and installed a drain which was attached to an interior pump so that any water that collected at all would be pumped outside of the foundation. Also they replaced my window and installed a water shield. I have not had a drop since. Very pleased.

Description of Work: My sump pump failed which caused me to have about 8" of water in the basement. I managed to get the old pump going to empty the water and to hold me over until someone came the following day. The tech showed up on time and replaced my pump. The only reason I said I will not use this provider is because I decided to go with a different company to perform the waterproofing I was looking to do otherwise I would recommend them to my neighbors.

Description of Work: I had called to discuss my basement water problems and to arrange for an in home evaluation of the problem. After a very positive phone contact we made an appointment for 10/6/11 at noon. Mr Scaldini did not show and did not call. As far as I am concerned this is extremely negligent, disrespectful and non-professional behavior. It communicates to me that a person cannot be trusted and if someone cannot be trusted I do not want him doing any work for me.

My wife was on my case this year (more than usual) to fix it due to the fact that we had got more water then usual in the basement this year due to all the melting snow. I ran a search on Google for a waterproofer after randomly selecting 3 companies I set up all the estimates. The first company never showed up? I was not surprised due to the reputation all these contractors have. The second company was competitive but if there is one thing I don?t like it is a salesmen (the owner did not come out then sent a salesman from the company)! He started at an astronomical price and kept coming down as he saw I was not willing to sign the contract on the spot. (I must say the last number he submitted was in the ballpark). Scaldino basement solutions was the last estimate by this point because of my 2 previous experience I was ready to leave the basement alone for a few more years because I did not want to sit though another sales pitch (Happy I did let him come by after all). Nick came by listen to me explain and then explained his product and his process. He had a unique product that no one else offered and he was the best priced on top of it. Most importantly he did not push for me to sign up on the spot. For these reasons I did sign up on the spot with Scaldino Basement Solutions. He put me on his schedule as promised his crew showed up on time they were very neat and took the time to explain to me as they went along. All in all Mr. Scaldino and his crew were professional, clean and educated about basements, It was a pleasure working with his crew and I would not trust any other contractor with my basement!
Description of Work: My neglected basement has been leaking for years and due to the excess amout of snow we had this year it has been worse. I needed it fixed fast and effective.
