Two months after motor replaced by Tindell had issue with furnace. Paid Tindell for an emergency call. Received quote for parts without the repairman pulling out heater components to examine. Had 3 second opinions from a competitors which didn’t agree with Tindell and cost less. Tried to discuss with Tindell and received rude response. Asked for call by owner which never happened. Extremely disappointing experience with a company who is supposed to be reputable.

We have used Tindall & Ranson as our regular HVAC home service for over 10 years, but decided to seek other bids for this big project. T&R significantly beat the others -- PSEG and another local plumbing and heating company. We were pleased with their expertise and responsiveness. This project was no different.

I have a contract. They come out every 6 months. I also use them for plumbing. I have had to call them in an emergency situation and they have been very responsive. When you have a contract, they respond very quickly.

The communcation with the office was good for scheduling and everything ran smoothly. No surprises. Everything was done to the letter as far as what they explained they were going to do.

We have been living in this house for over 4 years. I think they were hired by the previous owner. We have been happy with their service. They check our heating unit and also the AC. They come here probably twice a year and once especially for the AC and the other for the heat. They have been doing the work for the last 3 or 4 years. We are happy with the company so we have not compared the prices with other companies. The quality is really good. They are very responsive.

They respected my wishes to keep work minimal, and try cheap options first. They were courteous and professional. After the second visit work was performed, there was a very small leak in one of the couplings, and some air trapped in some radiators blocking flow. They promptly came back with no additional charges to rectify the situation (I don't think it was bad initial work, these things happen). Again, very prompt, courteous and professional in taking responsibility and making things right.

They showed up on time, were courteous and helpful.? They were there for all of an hour if that.? Changed filters and "winterized" the unit.

Fine--just had a problems with dripping/condensation later that may or may not have been a result of the check-up.

When I first moved to West Windsor I started using Tindall and Ranson. They put in a new water heater 1994, and new furnace and A/C 1995. They also did some plumbing work for us. We had a leak in the shower they came and fixed that as well. We also called them in an emergency when the washer hose broke and water was spraying all over the basement they came right away and fixed this as well. We used them for all of our plumbing needs. The work was good the workers friendly and professional they were responsive. Then I started a kitchen update and used a contractor that had there own plumber so I couldn't use Tindall. During this work I needed a licensed plumber to come to shut the water off to install the refrigerator so I called Tindall. They came the plumber came in shut the valve in 1 minute and handed me a bill for $95. I called the office they knew who I was and told me that's the price for a call. I asked them to please reconsider since I was a pretty good client of theirs and they said "no". That was the last time I called them for anything. I have since needed a new Furnace in 2015 and A/C and used a different company. Which was wonderful and by the way 3K cheaper than tindall for the same equipment.

In my view, as a consumer, the experience was not satisfactory: The provider was recommended by a real estate firm, but: The person who came to my house seemed to have his mind made upon arrival about what was needed. The person who came provided virtually no alternatives/did not follow up on the one alternative suggested. Seemed to be pushing buying an appliance I do not need. Extolling a State rebate for an item I do not need. In discussing the whole matter with one of the bosses, I felt he became agitated and unpleasant, in my view, even a little abusive.

We had another plumber. The owner retired and sold the company to Tindall & Ranson. So the person who remodeled our bathroom was the same person who had remodeled one of the bathrooms about 20 years ago when he was working for the other company. He was working like the project manager and his name is Pete Chamberlain. He treated this job as if he was doing his own bathroom. Everything was very precise. If I tell you measure twice, cut once - that is Pete Chamberlain. He was very, very precise. We felt like he was our plumber and not the companies plumber. We have used them many times over the past 20 years, but this was the first major job that they did for us. They were a bit higher than we could have found elsewhere. We had problems with plumbers to do the job and even to show up for the job. Tindall & Ranson did the job in a timely manner. They provided good equipment. We feel that we got value for what we paid.

This was my first time using them. It was easy to schedule. They were fine and respectful in my home. He let me know that he could redo the entire bathroom if I needed it.

We just bought the house and I noticed the small leaking from the in line sediment filter. The company responded quickly and politely but asked 89.00+tax for the cost estimation. I agreed, although all companies around have free estimation. I had additional project in mind and decided to try them. When the plumber said that filter is cracked, not leaking, just barely looked, gave me the price $369.00 + tax to change it and said that it is impossible to do my other project (which is now done by others), I decided it was my big mistake to ask them for the help.

Seemed to be going smoothly while taking my information. Transferred me a couple of times but the girls were professional. The company has done plenty of work in my area, this is how I decided to call them. The day before my appointment, they call to cancel - they don't serve my area. Most reviews say prices were too high and or communication lacking. Idk how the overall rating is so high.

It was hard to get the company to call me back on the phone, but when I finally did they were friendly, professional, and courteous. Work was scheduled to begin on Monday the 24th between 9:00 and 10:00, representative arrived at 10:37. Once he started work, he was great. Not having a lot of places to compare to, not sure if price was too much or not, but he was here for about 5 hours and fixed a lot of things. Tony was friendly and pleasant and explained everything he was doing. He also didn't mind getting scared by one of my cats who popped out of a cabinet at him, and was such a good sport about it! Would try them again in future.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2012, and they did the plumbing including the installation of a new drain vent. No plumbing problems two years later, very pleased. Since then we have had them replace some valves in the water supply, and most recently replace a gas water heater. Each time, very punctual, reasonable prices but not cheap (about 1100 for a 50 gallon, installed, removed old heater).

We have found them unfailingly professional, courteous, and honest. We will certainly continue to use them in the future.

I believe Bill Chamberlin is the owner. They are a small family owned business. They are very responsive. I've used them in many, many years. They come out promptly. I haven't had any issues with them. They've been out on a holiday. I think their pricing is very reasonable.

I am a real estate agent and I used them personally about three months ago. But more significantly is what they did for me as a real estate agent when they came out and looked at the air conditioning system at a house which another had said that it needed to be totally replaced. They opened up one of the two units and found that the prior air conditioning company had taken out solenoid which makes the air conditioning works and without which it does not function. They put it back in, they put one back in from their truck and everything worked perfectly. So instead of paying $9000 for a new unit the elderly lady, who was selling her house paid $47 for a solenoid and that is why I use them personally.

It went very smooth. T&R guy showed up exactly when he was supposed to. Knew what he was there to do. Worked the HVAC. Explained everything he was going to do before he did it. Good customer service. Gave us some helpful hints. In and out within an hour or so.

New Years Day. Basement sink that drains clothes washer water. Snaked it and all was well. I say it was $250 but I actually do not remember. Angie List form won't let me say I don't recall.

The whole experience was great. I would definitely use them again.

The tech arrived on time and did the job well. nice guy. The price was off the wall ridiculous. He spent a total of 20 minutes to put in like a $75 dollar part,the only tool he used was a screwdriver. They charge $89 to give an estimate and I figured they would roll that in to the job,nooo that is charged on top of the job. I told him the price was way too high,but what are you going to do,it cost me the $89 already. (stick to co. with the free estimates.) He did not have the part with him so he left for about a half an hour to go get one. Still, $450 for 20 minutes actual work? Today I had a new top of the line hot water heater installed at my house by a different guy. It only cost $200 more and there were 2 guys here for about 2 hours. This is the third time I have been burned by an Angies list contractor. I think you have a better chance by throwing darts at the phone book. Definitely would not use this contractor again. Will also think twice about using this list again as well

Tindall & Ranson would not provide an estimate for simple plumbing work without charging a $60 diagnostic fee, despite the fact that the work would probably cost between $1000 and $1500. This is the only one of half a dozen companies I contacted that would not provide a free estimate or even discuss their pricing. T&R must have so much work that they can afford to lose this kind of opportunity! I would not ever contact them again because of this practice.

We were very pleased with them. They were very professional. They came right out when we explained to them the situation. I don't have the price but it was likely at the higher level. The only thing was that we wanted it done immediately and they were ready to come. They were quick to respond. They understood the emergency situation that we had.
