We had a leaky pipe. A plumber was sent and he did a good job at a temporary fix. He said a manager will be in touch to evaluate a permanent fix. No body called. After 4 weeks and multiple calls, the manager arrived. He was attentive, took multiple pictures and discussed alternative solutions. When he left ,he said will call in a few days. Again nobody called. my emails directly to the manager were not answered. I asked to please let me know if they are not interested in the job , so that I can contact another company. No reply. Eventually after another 5 weeks, I got hold of the manager on the phone. To my great surprise he had no memory of his visit to our house and remembered nothing about the plumbing job as well as a new heat pump project that we had discussed. He promised that he will check his notes and will get back to us in two days. I am writing this 8 days later. we haven't heard from him. They have wasted more than two months of our time. I had called this company on the recommendation of my son who is a building contractor I guess they will lose his business as well. What a disappointment. Their workers might be good but the management is definitely unreliable and discourteous.

I called for an estimate to replace our gas boiler which had broken down a couple days prior. Don was terrific, courteous and professional; he came out immediately. He gave a very competitive estimate for an upgrade to a high efficiency system. Only reason we didn't use them was our need for different financing terms. A shame really, I would definitely trust them and consider them for future projects.

Unreliable. I made a plumbing appointment two weeks in advance and they cancelled on me last minute. Unreliable company

We have been using Eric Hendrickson at Redding's Plumbing for years. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous and thorough. His work product is always excellent. He treats our home as if it were his own, always cleaning up when he is finished, He takes pride in his work and it shows. In all the years that we have been dealing with Eric we have never had to call back for the same repair. Some of the projects completed by Eric and /or other Redding personnel include the following: replacement of sump pumps, replacement of the main water shut off valve, Installation of an additional outdoor hose bib, installation of new heating and air conditioning systems, and the maintenance thereof, and a new water heater. We highly recommend Redding's and Eric for all your Plumbing & HVAC needs

We have lived in Montgomery Township NJ for 7 years. We have used three HVAC service and installation businesses during this time. Prior to doing business with Reddings, we were using Princeton Air. We will always do business and rely on Reddings from now on. Most recently Reddings installed two new HVAC units in our home in Skillman. This work involved removal, relocation and installation of furnace and condensers. It also involved re-ducting of two entire floors. Unlike any provider we have used before, they were professional in every aspect of their work, they were problem solvers an would only sell solutions that we needed, even talking us out of additional work when it would not provide benefit. They met all their commitments, followed-up on everything they did and delivered high quality solutions that we are very happy with. Their people kept the work place clean and were respectful. In addition, they were price competitive to ANY of the other contractors we have worked with. They have earned all our future business in the HVAC and plumbing space. They also now provide service facilities for us. This is not a co-erced review. We receive no benefit for writing it. We just know that finding high quality, competitively priced reliable services is difficult to do. I can not comment on the experiences that those people had, however I can say categorically that we did NOT have the same experience. All staff, office and field have been pleasant, understanding, competent and professional.

Great job! Redding plumper understood issues of pump wiring and well placement better than others who had looked at job prior, including the company that installed the old pump. Cost was very fair, and I was very happy with final product, which included a simpler configuration of pump wiring in well, and the clean up of a lot of old wires that the prior plumbing co had simply left around the control box.

John K. was the lead technician, and after interacting with him for the duration of the job; I can see why he's worked for Redding's since 1994. John and the other team members were always on time and professional. He took time to treat me house like it was his, and I overheard him educating an apprentice on why "WE" do things "The Redding's Way". The 'system' (Attic Air Handler/Coil, Outdoor Condenser, Custom-HIDDEN-insulated duct work and necessary electrical/plumbing) performed flawlessly! It should be noted John designed/created a system that produced ZERO warm/cold spots in the entire house. I've heard nightmares from neighbors who used other contractors- they have rooms cold as ice, or the bedroom that is 'always warm'... We are very pleased with the A/C customization of our cute home! After the holidays, Redding's installed an indirect hot water heater and completed a full bathroom renovation. Bathroom renovations can be a nightmare, but after the wonderful experience of the A/C install, we knew Redding's would make it easy. Nick and Tommy were the professionals assigned to making our 80's bathroom look current. The whole process was once again awesome, without pitfalls . The entire process: designing/estimating/scheduling/permits/demo/final inspection-went without issues. Redding's truly exceed our expectations!

Top Notch, Professional Service - Heat Wave Weather - and Redding's was right on top of it! We called and they squeezed us in - the service technician was efficient, knowledgeable and very nice on top of it! The repair was completed quickly and we were back to cool in no time. We couldn't have asked for better service. He even made additional recommendations for the ac/furnace system while he was here (in a sincere, helpful way - not pushy). I would highly recommend Redding's for any HVAC/plumbing needs!

They are priced competitively and have excellent service and I find them very knowledgeable and reliable. They come prepared and have the right parts and tools.

The technicians were professional, clean and arrived promptly. They had the new furnace installed and the home comfortable again in no time.

tightened a kitchen faucet. unable to fix AC but suggested different vendor, unable to fix plumber but suggested calling the company again for a more specialized plumber. Their hourly charge starts when they drive from a previous client to my house which I was not aware and was completely shocked. My original appointment was first thing in the morning and I am <1 mile away from the company. They changed my appointment time one day before, without telling me that the prior client is like an hour away from my house, and without telling me that the charge starts at the time they call me to change appointment.

I signed the contract on Sept. 14th 2015 and they were supposed to apply for the township permit immediately as i dont have any heat in the house since we are converting from Oil to Gas and the furnace is in place , just need the inside piping and connection to the meter. Redding never filed for the permit nor did they tell me anything even tough i was in touch with them on a regular basis I find out when i go to the township that they only filed it on Oct. 6th ! In the meantime the nights are cold and i have no heat Reddings reason was Montgomery township losses a lot of permits - i have asked for proof of application I have not received anything as yet So PSE&G come to put the meter in ( i forgot the exact date ) maybe Oct.8th but could not put the meter as we did not have the permit. PSE&G came on Oct. 14 to put the meter in and i had told Redding that they will come between 12-4 and also they will call us with the exact time once they are on their way to my house. I call Redding's and tell them thay PSE&G will be here at 1:45 and they tell some one will be here for sure, as PSE&G needs to start one appliance on a new gas line, and in my case it was the furnace. The technician does not show till 2:15 ? the reason was that they send him on another job and they did not know how long it takes to come to my house even though they had been here twice I had to pick the permits myself from the township even tough it is their responsibility to pick it up. There is no professionalism and no care for the client with no heat Viraj

The two men were very punctual. They worked over a 2 day period. They were polite, efficient, they placed drop cloths over everything and kept the house spotless. I wouldn't use anyone else.

I got the plumber who came through Angie's List. I have used Redding's Plumbing. They are great. They were the best price and they were on time. They cleaned up and they did everything right. Pretty much their reliability is what stood out to me. They would come. They honored their price, they didn't come up with extra things, they were just good. They did what I needed them to do and they put in a good product. I wish the price was less than that but that is what they cost. They were the least expensive of all of the places I called. It is still working. I would absolutely continue to use them again in the future.

Redding's replaced the 20+ year old humidifier on our furnace which had developed a leak and had not been used for several years. Eric was punctual, courteous and did a neat, workmanlike job. We had been advised at the time we made the appointment that it might be necessary to replace the shutoff valve to meet current code (which it was) and what the extra charge would be. All in all, this was a good experience from the first phone call to the finished job. We will definitely use Redding's for future work.

It was a very good experience. From the first estimate to phone call responsiveness, arriving on time, workers were great.

They have been my heating and air conditioning people for sometime. They are the main firm that I am utilizing. They were very satisfying in terms of service, installation, and their responsiveness both to the overall installation as well as for follow-up service that I have had them in. It is Princeton and the area is expensive. I could probably had it done more cheaply from using someone else.

Reddings refused to provide service on my unit due to undisclosed safety issues. This is is a new unit installed in 2010. They charged me for a service call and travel time despite refusing to do work. I had American Express remove the charge from my account and I would never, ever use this service again. There are many more local businesses that will service your home.

When reviewed the bill after the person left we noted that we were charged for 2 hours when the person was present for 1 hour. Upon calling the office I was told that the added hour was for and quot;traveland quot; time. I conveyed that was not told this ahead of time and they said they would contact me and refund part of the charge --- I never got a call back and decided to not use them again.

Worked with Don at Redding to do an oil to gas conversion with new boiler and combination hot water heater for radiant floor and house water. Only a month into the conversion so cannot judge the long-term quality of the work/new equipment but overall the boiler and hot water heater are running as expected. The men doing the installation were always very professional and could answer any question that we had regarding timing. Project involved a solid six days of work.

Eric was almost on time (delayed slightly due to a flat tire) and did a thorough job. He also cleaned and replaced the filters in 2 humidifiers and replaced 2 thermocouples that were ready to go. He said 2 furnaces, although 19 years old each, were in great shape, so he didn't try to sell me to replace them. The charges were reasonable. Would definitely use again!

Reddings did a great job from estimate thru installation. I got estimates from several contractors. Some were more expensive and others were less; but Reddings provided the right equipment and the right installation. For example, one contractor had a lower price but was not going to replace the A/C piping (just clean the old) even though I told them there was a leak somewhere. Reddings explained this was not necessarily an approved procedure by the manufacturers. I felt they listened to me and asked the right questions to ensure I got the equipment needed to meet my usage profile. The installers were on time; friendly and worked cleanly. I am very happy with Reddings and would use them again.

I went through a process of getting different proposals from different services, and this particular group is by far the best I have found at least to the proposal stage, we have not got to an actual contract and installation, but just the honesty and recommendations, and not just selling me whatever they had to sell. They are great. They gave me several options and that is one of the things I really liked about them. They presented a couple of different options, different equipment, laid out the pros and cons of each one and then basically said you think about it and let us know when you make a decision. They are definitely not pushy. They are very very helpful. For each option they gave me a price and broke it out by the equipment they would install with different options and that was all laid out there. The salesperson working with us is the best I have ever worked with in terms of HVAC people and his name is Mr. Donn Gifewhite. He was exceptionally knowledgeable. He knows his equipment inside out that is available and talked about the pros and cons of each one. It was a while between when I first called and he came, but that was because I was having an energy audit and I wanted to wait to talk to him until the energy audit was just over. They were on time. I cannot say enough about this particular individual, as he was just fabulous.
