 + 1 moreWhen I called around to several electricians (which I got from Angie's List) Alex was the first to call me back. He made it convenient for me to schedule a time to provide an estimate. When he came he was polite and professional. In fact, he not only asked about the work I wanted but also offered helpful suggestions that would make the work better. The quote he provided was very reasonable so we agreed on a time to get the work done. He and his team did a great job and finished quickly with all of the work delivered as promised. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I would definitely use his company again. Thank you!

 + -1 moreCalled and spoke with Alex who sent out Sam the next day. Said they would come to give an estimate. On arrival he started looking at the switch and fan and in the process of figuring out what was wrong, fixed the problem. All working well now without issues.
Description of Work: Fixed a broken switch and reconstructed an exhaust fan in the powder room.

He even installed the generator in a VERY small window I had before vacation. I would highly recommend him (and already have).

 + -1 moreIt went well. Finished his work within the 2 hours allotted. Removed his shoes before coming upstairs. He did leave a small amount of dirt behind after finishing with an outlet. Having a small dust buster on hand to clean up afterwards may be beneficial for customers. Have not yet scheduled, but will to have a ceiling fan installed and troubleshoot our florida room. Very accommodating, when he arrived the first time, we did not have our outlets as we incorrectly thought they were provided by the electrician. He had no problem rescheduling for the very next week. Very responsive in returning e-mails; my preferred method of communicating.
Description of Work: Changed 2-prong outlets to 3-prong outlets in 3 rooms. Raised outlet to accommodate flat screen TV

 + 0 moreI emailed Alex to schedule. Alex called promptly. We decided on date. He arrived early. Very polite. Swapped out the lights. Gave me a quick quote on some other work I may have done. Was on his way. Overall, very good experience. Only thing I'd suggest is that he could have offered to throw out items from installation. I had to clean up.
Description of Work: I purchased the Angies List coupon for this service several months ago. I can't remember the exact price, but I think it was around $60. Alex was very polite and replaced 3 ext lights on my property. I would use him again.

He informed me that his estimate was ready but a subcontractor's wasn't, so he wanted to know if he should wait or send his estimate anyway. I asked him to send his estimate which he did very promptly. I will update this review if I should decide to use his services.

Description of Work: Alex was very courteous - reached out immediately and was quick in visiting and providing estimates. Had his team of folks in to perform the work... happy with his work... towards the end, when i made the payment - by mistake i paid more than what i was supposed to... Upon reaching home, Alex immediately mailed me back the extra payment... very prompt and did not need any reminders/phone calls...

 + -1 moreAlex checked my cook top ignition which has been faulty for a while and tried to fix it , however due to an improperly installed gas line was unable to fix the problem as a plumber would be needed to turn off the gas line. This took about 40 minutes to figure out. Alex went o to install dimmers for the two hallways and kitchen light switches. There was a problem with one of the hallway switches because the light bulb turned out to be fluorescent which was not compatible with the dimmers. Alex worked 15 minutes over the 2 hours paid for and did not charge for the time. Since one of the dimmers was not working properly before Alex left he promised to come back and fix it if we got the right bulbs /light fixture. I got the a new light fixture and he returned and replaced the light fixture at no cost. about a week later. Overall he was very punctual, polite and very pleasant. When he was running a couple of minutes late he called ahead to explain why and when he came into the house he took off his work boots. I and my husband were pleased with his work and we certainly will use him again

I'm putting a "B" for professionalism because I think he can still improve when it comes to the little things -- such as taking extra care not to leave any scuff marks on the wall with the ladder or leave fingerprints on the light fixture (after all, when am I going to be up on a 14-foot ladder to clean them off?) That said, he's really dedicated and sure to improve quickly with experience -- and genuinely seemed eager to get feedback. I will certainly hire him again for the next electrical project.
Description of Work: Alex installed a heavy (40+ lbs.), very large (5' round) chandelier suspended from a beam about 15 feet in the air over the landing. Needless to say, this was a pretty hard job and required thoughtful planning and expert execution. The result is very impressive. The light looks great and works exactly as planned. The work was completed in just as much time as we budgeted for the project and precisely as described when we first discussed the job and took measurements.

The jobs were simple and, in my opinion, should have been accomplished more efficiently by an experienced electrician; but the work was done correctly, and I have had no problems with it.

We spoke on the phone and I explained the services I required. I sent pictures of my existing setup to Alex for him to get an idea. Alex came to the house to inspect and provide the final quote. He started work immediately. Quality of work and detail was very good. I highly recommend Alex for any home theater electrical work.

 + -1 moreAlex seemed to feel bad that he had not needed the two hours for the job. He came back with an outlet cover plate when he noticed one was broken on his way out. He also explained why I should never pain over outlets. He did a lovely job, telling me everything he was doing and reassuring me about the circuitry.
Description of Work: I purchased the two hours for $99 coupon from Angies List since I needed an electrician and was eager to give a new person a try. I was worried that I might need a lot of work. Alex called me back immediately and we set the appointment for the next day. When he arrived, right on time, he introduced himself and showed me a business card. He also took his shoes off. I guess that was to save my carpets, but poor Alex went home with dog hair on his socks! I had been having trouble with a bathroom light connection that seemed to burn through bulbs and fixtures. Plus my new vacuum had tripped the circuit in the dining room. He examined everything carefully, including the vacuum. He checked the wiring at the switch and at the ceiling where the fixture goes. All that was fine so he installed a new fixture I had purchased. He showed me the area that is most vulnerable to wear, and we discussed light bulbs that would be less likely to burn through the fixture. He explained that the vacuum would do best using a dedicated circuit since it draws a lot of current. There was time left over so I consulted him about a light to my back yard. He told me what to look for in a replacement light there. My dog kept coaxing him to play and dropping her toys in his tool box but he never lost his cool. He was very sweet and professional. He is an electrical engineer and has studied electronics as well. All in all I was very pleased with his work, his demeanor, and will definitely call him when I need more work done.
