This was the very worst service experience I have ever had. I purchased a Miele dryer. Days after the one year warranty the dryer started not to work. This happended during the holidays. I called Miele USA assuming I would get the best service on this high-end product. First the service phone number is always busy. Secondly when I did make an appointment they had a two week lead time. Unheard of for a service provider, especially hard to live without a dryer for two weeks. The day they were suppose to come out they never showed up and did not call even. The dispacher service was arrogant and nasty. When the technician finally came he did not have the parts. The technician told my husband that there were very serious problems with this dryer. Miele had rushed to make the larger front load dryer for the USA market. In their rush the product was not designed correctly. He fixed the defective drummer dryer, but it never worked very well. It still made a noise and only the high temperture worked. A few days ago, the vent light went off on the dryer. This was strange because I clean the vent everytime I used the dryer. I called a service with Miele training, but not Miele since I had such a bad experience. They cleaned the vent, but could not get all the lint out. The service company said because the vent the Miele technician gave me did not fit and was the wrong part. The dryer was filled with lint and small items that broke the fan to the dryer. According to the technician the dryer is beyond repair. I have called Miele today three times and the phone is busy. In fairness this could be because of hurricane Irene. But this was the same experience I had last time. I was so outraged I talked to a supervisor and he told be it would all be fixed, we will see.
Description of Work: Large Front Load Dryer Broke a few days after the one year warranty. Call Miele service to fix the drummer of the dryer. Two years later dryer is broken again and is beyond repair. Very disappointing for such an expensive model.
