Whenever I had a question, he was easily contactable and returned phone calls promptly. The men arrived on time, and their workmanship was good. I was very pleased with the work. I will definitely use them again and have no reservations recommending them.
Description of Work: Replace front door and sidelights. Replace foyer skirting boards. Paint door and trim throughout.

 + 1 moreMy husband and I typically do all the work around our house ourselves and while we have done framing a drywall before, we felt this wasn't something we wanted to tackle, especially being it was 2 stories. John was very thorough with his estimate and had his lead carpenter come by as well. Their price was right where I expected it to be, maybe even a little lower. They had the job finished in 4.5 days and everything was perfect.
Description of Work: Our 2 story foyer has an open staircase. One side is open to the rest of the foyer, the other side is completely open to the living room with cathedral ceilings. I didn't like the look or feel of this from the moment we bought our house, it seemed too open and felt like the living room wasn't a room at all. We had John August built a wall to separate the two rooms and match the opening and decorative columns in the dining room across the foyer. They did the framing, drywall and trim.

Description of Work: I needed a wood floor ripped up within 48 hours. John met with me the next day, provided the quote and his man, Steve was here the next morning right on time. John and Steve were very knowledgeable and I am hiring the firm for another project next week. Now that I see the professionalism and quality of work, they are coming back in a week to work on an estimate to refinish my basement. This is an example of how one small job done right can lead to a much larger job. I would highly recommend this firm.
