Spectrum Painting & Paper Hanging LLC

We made the appointment before Hurricane Sandy hit. I knew I had to be accomodating after the storm and thought for sure our appointment would need to be changed. Instead, they were able to still come for the originally scheduled appointment, and we bumped the date back a day, only because the original date did not work for us anymore. The painters were some of the most professional people I have ever dealt with. Their work was phenomenal and they were so polite and thorough. Our home looks like a new home with their excellent paint job. The work was completed in two days and for what was done, that seems incredible. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

The quote was thorough and prompt, but they were busy and we had a wait for scheduling. We were scheduled later in the year but due to power outages from Hurricane Sandy and the fact that we had power, we were pushed up in the schedule. They arrived early with plenty of painters and everything was completed in 7 hours. They were neat, polite and cleaned up and made sure we were satisfied with the work. On one wall, the touchups were noticeable and they painted the whole wall for no extra charge.

I first met with Laura who was very thorough and confident they could fix our problem. We had previously hired someone from another company who did a horrible job wallpapering these rooms, and the removal of the paper was destroying the drywall. They had a very specific plan as to how to go about fixing all of the issues, and the pricing was quite reasonable considering how time intensive the job was to be. I was scheduled within a week and a half and the job was done in four days. Ruedi from Spectrum showed up early Wednesday morning and worked tirelessly until the evening for four days straight until the two rooms were done. Rich, the owner came by to check on the job, which is such a rarity nowadays. It shows that this company really cares about their customers. Ruedi's attention to detail was amazing - the walls are flawless! The job was done so well, everything looks perfect. He was so thorough and meticulous. He was considerate of his surroundings - there were tarps everywhere, he cleaned up after himself. I am really amazed at how good the rooms look. I am going to hire Spectrum again in the spring to paint the exterior of the house and am expecting nothing but perfection again. Thanks so much!

Laura was very patient and responsive when helping us select colors. Her expertise and easy going nature was one of the main reasons we selected Spectrum. She patiently helped us decide colors for every room and often made suggestions when we had no idea where to begin. Jose and crew arrived on time and worked hard to deliver wonderful work. We could not have asked for a more professional team. The final product was beyond our expectations. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone.

Spectrum did an OUTSTANDING job!!! I met with Laura and Rich (the owner) to receive a proposal. They came to my home the day after I spoke with them, as they were aware that the job was time sensitive since I would be going back to work in a couple of weeks. They were very nice, professional, and they gave me a quote after taking some measurements and making some calculations. I was very appreciative of receiving a quote the same day. It was roughly the same as a competitor's quote, although slightly higher; however, we still decided to use Spectrum because of the excellent reviews that we read, the good impression that they made, and their willingness to accommodate my schedule (I work from home and needed to have the work done relatively quickly). The work was performed 2 weeks later. Favio came to my house first (the foreman) and greeted us with a can of chocolate chip cookies and thank you card - this was a very nice touch and was very memorable! A crew of about 6 or 7 painters came by around 8am. They covered all of the furniture and walls very carefully - the prep took a long time, but it was worth it for them to do because the house was spotless when they left. They worked from 8am and were completely finished, cleaned up, and ready to leave by 5pm. I was thrilled and so impressed not only by the excellent job they did painting, but also by their cleanliness and the fact that they got so many rooms done in one day. By the time my family came home, you would never have guessed that anyone was in the house that day - except for the fact that the walls were beautifully painted. Working with Laura was wonderful - she explained the differences in types of paint to me and helped me with my decision. We had used Natura to ensure there was no odor due to having young children (there really was no odor - it was incredible! We did use Aura Bath and Spa in the bathroom which had only a slight odor, however it was very minimal). Having the paint done so meticulously, and in one day, truly exceeded my expectations - with young kids, I can't imagine having to carry the painting over across multiple days. Job very, very, VERY well done to Rich, Favio, Laura, and the whole crew - thank you, thank you, thank you! We will certainly recommend Spectrum and use you again!

Spectrum painting is a quality company from the Owner to the person who answers the phone. I was particularly impressed with Ibo, the Crew Manager. The crew was hard working and Ibo, made sure everything was done correctly. They were very meticulous and their attention to detail was impressive. Ibo was very responsive to all my requests and he is an outstanding foreman and skilled craftsman. I highly recommend this company. A+

Rich gave us a complete, professional estimate with references. His crew was courteous and neat. They did an excellent job in repairing the old walls, wallpapering and painting. They were very responsive when we had questions. Because we were not able to be there when the work was completed ( we were on vacation), we had a few touch ups we asked them to come back to do, which they readily agreed to and came back promptly to touch up to make sure we were happy.

I must admit that the price was higher than the other quotes I got, but I know I made the right decision, because the work performed was outstanding and top-quality as I expected. Once paid, the owner followed up to make sure I was happy and gave me a small gift of cookies-nice touch. I would absolutely use them again, and in fact have already gotten a quote for another job. I have also recommended them to my sister.

We were looking for someone to provide quality services on relatively short notice and be able to complete the job quickly. Rich gave us a detailed estimate without any sales pressure and would be able to start within 2 weeks. He estimated a 3 person crew with completion within 3 days. It turns out that there were able to send a 5 person crew and we were impressed that they were able to complete it in 2 days. As we expected, our furniture were moved to the center of each room and they were covered along with the trims and floors. The crew worked hard and did a fantastic job. Well done!

Rich and his team (led by Ebo) did a great job. First, I needed to get this job done quickly as I was selling my house. Rich met every commitment he made. The team's work was outstanding, they cleaned up completely and made sure I was satisified. I would defineitly hire Spectrum again.

2nd time we used Spectrum and again we were very satisfied. The crew are wonderful people and so easy to work with. Our shed came out super gorgeous. The red paint from Benjamin Moore looks so fine that we just love looking out the window in the morning. Our house was powerwashed with the utmost care and everything sparkles. We would use them again and again...

Chose Spectrum and two other painters to provide an estimate based on the quality of their reviews on Angie's List. Our search for providers focused on quality over price. There are cheaper alternatives out there, but you get what you pay for with Spectrum. Rich responded promptly to our call and came out to estimate the job. Spectrum's estimate was in line with the other estimates that we received, but we chose Spectrum because of our comfort with Rich after meeting with him. Rich was very thourough in reviewing the parameters of the job and setting our expectations. We were able to schedule the job for two weeks later. Rich's crew arrived promptly at 8 am on Monday morning and the crew leader, Fabio again reviewed the parameters of the job and set the schedule for how the job would unfold. Fabio and his crew worked quickly, quietly and cleanly and utilized a staging area to store their work equipment at the end each day. This helped minimize the disruption for our family. The job was completed within three days, which was faster than the original estimate. I'm still not sure how they got the job done so quickly. In addition, we had a plumbing problem occur during the work (unrelated to Spectrum) that led to a hole in our bathroom ceiling that needed to be repaired. Spectrum seemlessly added this to the project scope and still completed the job ahead of schedule. When the project was complete, Fabio did a walk through with us to ensure that the job was completed to our satisfaction.

Favio and crew were great. All crew members were curteous and cooperative. In addition to painting and staining, they applied their carpentry skills, to install crown molding and provided advice on the color selection for the walls and for painting and glazing the kitchen cabinets. The spectrum crew trnsformed my kithchen from dull to WOW!!!

They came on time, were neat & tidy, Well groomed & very good points, at night they put away their equipments very neatly.

Called the office and scheduled an appointment for Rich to come over and give a quote. I felt the quote was fair and they could start the work in a week and finish in a day which was important to us. From Laura at the office helping us with general questions to the guys who did the work, this is a professional organization. They were on time, neat, available to answer questions, etc. Very good overall experience and would use them again. Room looks great, very happy with the results

Tibo, Caesar and Frank were a great team. They were there early and gave 110% all day. They worked late one day to make sure the bedroom was done and were mindful to my cats. Tibo was very knowledgable and gave me great suggestions on the types of paints and had a great plan in getting all the rooms finished in four days. The owner Rich stopped by a couple of times and made sure all was going well.

Just an FYI...I submitted a written report, but see that it did not get posted so I am resubmitting because I wanted to give this company the due it deserves. I had a coupon that came from Angie's list and Spectrum was very gracious and honored it to the "T". On painting day, two gentlemen arrived exactly on time and presented me with a small box of cookies...which were delicious by the way. I was prepped as to what was going to be done that day and one gentleman stayed to do the painting. My walls needed spackling and the painter did a beautiful job. Painting began and I think it took 3 coats in some areas of my kitchen. I must say that I love the way my kitchen looks and am very happy with their service. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Everything went very well. The painters were very meticulous in setting up, and in preparing the areas to be painted. The painting process was well executed. Their cleanup was very thorough. Everything was done on schedule.

From start to finish I had a very pleasant experience. When you call you get a real person! I also got a quick call back from the owner to verify details. The painters showed up on time and called to let us know they were on the way. They were friendly, professional, checked in with us, asked questions about the work before proceeding, moved large furniture and did a very good job of painting. They cleaned up very nicely, and left us very satisfied with their work. They went above and beyond for the job and I definitely would hire them again. They even gave us a thank you for your business card and a small parting gift of some amazing chocolate chip cookies. Very nice touch!

Just a phone conversation...they were very informative and prompt with phone service and do believe they would be excellent workers. At the time, we had already chosen another company. But would definitely call them in the future for other jobs.

We just bought our first house, and wanted to start off painting nearly the entire interior to make it our own. I contacted Rich from Spectrum via phone, and also communicated with Laura O'Connell, the office manager, via email. Both were a a pleasure to communicate with. Rich was right on time for the estimate, very friendly, and thoughtful about some color transitions that I couldn't get my head around. Within 48 hours, I received the estimate via email in PDF, they were very organized, and spelled it out very clearly. Due to some unexpected budget constraints, we chose a different company, but I would have no reservations about hiring Spectrum for the job.
