My husband and I cannot say enough about the excellent service provided by RT Davies last week. We had a stand of pines that lined our property and they were showing their age, beginning to be a problem. The owner, Marty, explained how they could be trimmed but would continue to be a problem in the area of danger to the house in a storm as they continued to deteriorate or they could be removed. There was no pressure at all, they were willing to do either service. We made the decision to remove them, they gave us a fair estimate and we settled on a date. They arrived on that date, on the dot of 8 AM, with a full crew and all the pieces of equipment necessary to remove the trees. The removal took all day, and they also did a trimming of a large silver maple which is in our rear yard. Every person on the crew was experienced, professional and very friendly and courteous. They listened when we asked questions and made comments and did exactly as we asked on the tree trimming. They chipped the trees as they were removed and did all the work in a safe manner, without harming our home, other plantings or our fence. When they were done, they cleaned up every branch, leaf and all sawdust left from the cuttings. We now have a lot more sunlight coming into the house and no more pine tree mess or threat of falling going forward. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for tree service in the area. They have been in business for over 75 years and our service was certainly a reflection of that experience and great customer service.

They are local. They are good. It was growing all over the place and so I had them trim that. The job overall went pretty good. I know other people who have used them in the area and they are fine. They were responsive, came immediately and gave me an estimate. They came back a few days later and trimmed the tree for me. They were professional. I liked that they came in immediately. They don't pull us off, they showed up. The guy looked at the tree and immediately gave me a price. He also gave me a written estimate. They were nice guys. They are pretty regular. I think they are brothers so the guy that gave me the estimate wasn't the guy that actually trimmed the tree. He was a little bit alarmed because I made him really cut the tree back. He said it wasn't going to look good but I said I didn't care and wanted it to be cut back. They are good people. He did what I wanted him to do. The price was reasonable and again they show up. They do big jobs as well as small jobs. They'll even plant for us if we want. I was thinking of having a tree pulled out and they said they would have come in and put another small tree which I may eventually do but I'm not sure yet. They do full service. They have all the items and stuff. They came in the day I think I called. I think I called them in the morning and one of the brothers showed up in the afternoon to give me an estimate. They gave me the estimate at the end of the week and they came in the beginning of the next week to do the job so it was quick service. They actually showed up early. They've been around for a while and they are professional.

RT Davies is a very reliable firm that is timely, careful and fulfills their contract very professionally. I feel very comfortable giving them our highest recommendation.

The owner was a delight to work with. He answered all my questions and faxed all the necessary documents to me (license certificate, insurance policy). He scheduled us as soon as he could as the tree removal business has been very busy since Sandy. His crew came out the day after I called to examine the job so they could give me an estimate. His crew came at the assigned time and completed the job in 2 hours. They took all trees and debris and stumps away. It has been along time since I dealt with such honest and professional contractors. I highly recommend them.
