Rodney came and looked at out project and helped us with quite a few decisions, told us what could be done or should be done. He was very helpful and patient as we were very undecided. His estimate was very reasonable too. We hired them and the job was done on schedule, the work looks great, and Rodney and his workers went above and beyond what we expected. I would recommend Velez Home Improvements to all my friends and family.

Very good work on remodeling basement and with suggestions that made it even better. He took care of every little detail and took a dingy basement and made it amazing! They were very clean and professional and I would definitely recommend Mr. Velez. Great job for a reasonable and negotiable price. Will absolutely use him again.

Hired them to repair leaking shower floor tiles in a fraternity house. He made a suggestion for an alternate design which was more cost effective and appropriate for the use. Found a few extra $ items as he was taking things apart but not unexpected. Also installed 3 new floor drains in the kitchen. Very responsive and easy to get in contact with. Let us know about and reviewed each change to make sure we agreed and were able to afford additional costs. Gave us enough lead time on his schedule so we could deal with the showers being out of commission for 3 days. Will definitely use him again.

Fence replacement was the final major phase of our recovery from Hurricane Sandy. We wanted something distinctive and sturdy, but still affordable. Mr. Velez responded to our needs with a competitive bid, excellent product, consummate professionalism and expert installation. We were so pleased with his work that we immediately retained him for an electrical project and gutter repair also. We will readily recommend him to others in need of an excellent contractor.

I hired Mr. Velez to replaced two windows in a basement and replaced two outdoor lights. He responded quickly to my inquiry. Overall, He is a nice, reasonable and negotiable contractor. The jobs were completed quickly and efficiently. But the windows were caulked somewhat sloppy. From one of the spot, I can see outside easily through the gap between the window and the wall.

Called Rod on a Saturday evening at 8:30pm, he was here that Sunday at 2pm installing our gas oven-wall unit..... Great job!!!! I will defiantly call on him again!!! Thanks again Rod!!!

Velez Home Improvements responded immediately to my e-mail request made on a Saturday afternoon. He called and we set up an appointment for Monday. He arrived ahead of schedule, provided sound professional advice based on a thorough assessment of the project, and completed the job quickly and efficiently. We will consider VHI for future home improvement projects. He receives my highest recommendation.

Nice and reasonable contractor. The price he gave was reasonable. Ididn't have to negotiate. I like their policy to come up with reasonable and honest price and not to reap off the customers. This is the right way to do the business. also work time promised was reasonable and was in time.

They got it done that same day. Hope I am talking about the glass repair company based out of Plainfield.

Rodney was quick to respond to the service request. He came the morning I called him within the time frame he said he would be there. He was polite and professional. He even insisted on cleaning up my kitchen floor after he was finished even though I told him I was going to scrub it anyway. I will certainly keep his card on hand for any future jobs that may come up. The only thing I would ask is that when he answered his phone he did not identify himself as the business and I almost hung up thinking I had the wrong number.

Rodney Velez is very prompt and professional. As a smart businessman, he give me a job quote within hours and worked as promised. He stepped into a part-done basement remodeling project. First contractor's car accident meant Rodney and his crew had to finish and they did a nice job putting up walls, windows, moldings, doors, ceiling, and painting. He also installed a tile floor and did a small plumbing job. Good suggestions. Fair prices. Wants you to be happy. I highly recommend Velez and will continue to use him.

Mr. Velez was very thorough and explained the project thoroughly and answered all our questions. He is very professional and returned our call immediately. He did a great job with repairing our roof and fixing/repairing our chimney chase. His prices are reasonable and he backs his work 100%.
