+ 0 moreOur air filters would be very dirty after short periods so assumed the ducts were never cleaned and perhaps had construction debris. The team was very professional when they arrived and they completed the full house cleaning in about a half day or so. They didn't leave any mess behind after they were finished. The filters haven't been quite as dirty when I have replace them so the impact of the cleaning seems to be positive.
Description of Work: Drx Duct came out and did a complete cleaning of our forced air system and our dryer vent. Our home was built in 2001 and we moved in in 2009.

+ -1 moreI called them the day before the appt, the owner answered, took the appt time and gave me the price over the phone. They called before they got here, told me it would take about 20minutes, were done in that time, I asked them to show me the gunk that came out before they picked it up, when they were done they showed me the gunk just before they were going to bag it, they gave me the ability to take a picture of a hole in the dryer duct before they patched it with tin duct tape and everything was set. One processed the credit card payment as the 2nd guy finished cleaning up and they were on their way without incident. It was a very good experience and I plan on calling them again in 2 years to do the same job.

Description of Work: I had all my ducts cleaned and the dryer vent cleaned of lint as well. The experience with this company was excellent. From the moment I called to the moment they completed the work everything went as smooth as possible. I was charged exactly what I was promised. The workers were exceptionally nice, explained everything, and cleaned up any dirt. They worse slippers over their shoes in my home, and were here for about 4 hours. They even cleaned the snow off my car and moved it for me as they were here early in the morning and I had my hands full with kids, dog, etc. My older son had an open computer on his desk and was concerned about dust getting on the motherboard. They carefully wiped down the vent, and used an air compressor tool at a low setting to gently clean his rather filthy vent with no disturbance what so ever. They were very respectful and removed my basement door as they were going up and down with equipment and didn't want to scratch or harm anything. To be honest this is the best experience having any type of serviceman in my house that I can even remember. I will absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone needing this service. My breathing is noticeably better as well as I am a huge allergy sufferer. Don't wait 15 years like I did, do it now for your health.

+ 1 moreThe technician was very clear and concise in communicating his findings and the work required to complete the job. Without him we may not have identified the health risk posed by rust particles being blown through the system into our home.
Description of Work: 1. walked through the house to identify locations of all supply and return vents as well as their origin/termination at the furnace; 2. removed vent grills to assess the (very dirty) condition of the ducts; 2a. showed me the condition of all ducts and reviewed the work he would be doing; 3. cleaned and disinfected all ducts; 3a. reviewed the work completed, including identifying a significant condenser leak that resulted in the rusting-out of the furnace over a long period of time (which posed a significant heath risk to our family...the furnace was subsequently replaced by our landlord); and 5. replaced vent grills and departed.

+ 0 moreDrX Duct inspected and cleaned all of the duct work in my condo. They explained what they were doing and also took some pictures of the duct work in the basement on my camera so that I could see for myself. They were at my house for almost 3 hours completing the job so I believe they did a thorough job (the duct work had never been cleaned in 20 years!) They also showed me where the vent in the back of the dryer had come loose, and was blowing air into my laundry room. They replaced the vent piping and fixed it so that it was working properly. All in all, I would definitely recommend this company to others and I will use them again when I need these type of services done.
Description of Work: I was very pleased with the services I received from DrX Duct. I researched several companies online, including the reviews and information on Angie's List before I selected Drx Duct. I also used a coupon for 10% off the total bill. The services were for a full duct cleaning of my 2 BR condo as well as the dryer vent cleaning. I expected the fee to be in the $400 range, especially with the dryer vent cleaning, so I thought the price was fair. The 2 technicians were timely and professional (sorry, I wish I could recall their names, but I know that 1 of the technicians has been with DrX. Duct since the beginning.) They called me the day before the appointment to confirm, and then called me that morning to see if they could come a little earlier than my scheduled appt, which worked out great for me.

+ 0 moreThe technicians called to let me know that they would be about 15 minutes early. We took a quick tour of the 12 year old home we had just purchased. The technicians noted that there was no evidence that the ducts had ever been cleaned. This was verified by the amount of dust on the fan blades inside the blower unit. During the course of cleaning the returns, they pulled out at least 100 drywall screws. (looked like someone dumped a box in there during construction and never retrieved it). The technicians were professional and left everything neat and clean. We are very pleased by the improved air quality. They also advised us that we should schedule out next cleaning in 3-5 years, not annually. Many companies tell you to do this as a scheme to make more money and/or cover the fact that they couldn't do a thorough job the first time.
Description of Work: Air Duct cleaning, fan blade cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, new dryer connector installation. Work done to NADCA standards - this is very important to us.

In addition we suspected that our HVAC ductwork needed cleaning / sanitization as it had not been looked at for 8 years. The service technicians were at our home 2 hours after the call and completed the clothes dryer duct cleaning in a very professional manner (clean, neat, thorough). They inspected our HVAC dustwork as well as our furnaces and we scheduled the cleaning / sanitization for next week. The technicians were very friendly and explained everything completely and to our satisfaction. In fact, they even cleaned our clothes dryer filter screen! This is truly a highly competent, professional, and service oriented company and we recommend them highly.

+ -1 moreThe company got back to me within an hour and scheduled my appointment within two days. When they came in they put on booties so not to dirty my floors, that was very considerate, most service companies don't do that. They tested everything, explained exactly what they did, and cleaned up well when they were done. It took about 30 minutes. Nice guys, would definitely use them again and highly recommend the company.

+ -1 moreHe did a very good job. I have had them clean a few times previously, but never at the level of the last time they came in. They were different this time. I would highly recommend this company again. The owner, George is very personable and caring.
Description of Work: He came to decontaminate the wall ducts, not the whole system because their were parts torn out. He brought in a heppavac that is the size of my refrigerator and other equipment as well. He came with one worker and they came and cleaned and decontaminated 12 wall ducts. He had to balance himself in the attic on the 2x4's to clean each wall duct separately.

+ 0 moreCame on time. It was a wet day. They were in and out of the house. Had to clean afterwards shoe marks. Next time would do it on a dry day. Completed the job in 3 hours. They could not remove the vent covers except for the main. Went in the attic to clean. Even sanitized/ cleaned with alcohol based cleaner the vents. For the price and the work done, was well worth it.
Description of Work: Cleaned 9 ducts in home. Excellent job but lots of dust after the job ...I guess this was after effect of just a lot of dust in air vents which they could not contain/vacuum.

+ -1 moreCame one day after my call---on a Saturday and on time. Job was not complicated but serviceman was friendly and helpful and thorough. Made a suggestion for a cap on the vent but not a hard sell and it was a good suggestion. I would use them for an annnual cleaning.
Description of Work: He vacuumed my dryer trap and then vacuumed the dryer vent from outside the house. He also installed a cap on the outside vent.
