Description of Work: Mt. Salem Electric was hired to replace the A/C disconnect switch. Paul was prompt, courteous and concerned with safety and doing the job right. I would definitely call Mt. Salem Electric again for any future work.

After it was performed, I called the town inspector to come over and do the final inspection as directed by the bldg permit. The inspector asked who did the job and I said MT. Salem electric. The inspector then took out his Approval Sticker, signed it and dated it. He said "I know the work these guys do, they are so go I don't even have to look at it" He handed me the approval sticker and left.

+ -1 moreGot the name from your list. Called and left my information. Secretary called back within the hour. So I was initially very impressed. Told them I chose them from Angie's list. Was advised electrician would call me back. He never did. I called back the following week. Spoke to electrician. He advised me he would get in touch with me the next week to set up a service date. I waited all week for the call. He never did. I knew he would be away the next week as he had advised me of that in the initial contact. He would have been back this week. He has not called me back and I have not called him back. I have gotten another electrician not on your list, who has come and taken care of the issue.
Description of Work: Did not respond to phone messages to initiate service request.

+ -1 moreThe installation itself went perfectly. We live in the country where there are no natural gas lines. Frank from Mt. Salem helped us determine where to locate the generator and the type of propane tank to obtain. We chose to bury a 500 gallon tank. Electricians from Mt. Salem showed up when they said they would; performed the installation through to completion and tested the generator. They even came back to the house on Saturday to spend time with my husband and I to explain how the generator works and what we need to look out for and maintain. The final invoice for the job totaled the exact amount of the intitial estimate.
Description of Work: Mt. Salem Electric installed a whole house 20KW model # 05875 Generac generator with a 200 amp. transfer switch for our home. In a power outage, the generator will operate the entire house. Our home has two electical circuit breaker boxes. The generator had to be connected to both of them. They installed the interconnect wiring to control the A/C units and a switch in our pool house to operate the furnace there with an extension cord from the generator. Mt. Salem prepared the entire site, installing a concrete base for the generator; digging the trench for the electrical wires from the generator to the house; and drilling the hole into the house for the wiring. They applied for the township electrical and fire permits. The work Mt. Salem does is thorough,neat and clean and exacting. Mt. Salem did an excellent job. Even the electrical inspector was impressed.
