This service went pretty well. They guys that showed up to do the move were great. They showed up on time and worked quickly. The only issue I had was that the estimate wasn't quite correct. I had to leave items behind and move them myself to avoid additional cost.

really did a great job. The supervisor Dominick was excellent and his team worked hard, used caution and were enjoyable to talk to and work with. They pushed themselves to come in below the estimated time.

Came upon Palmieri Movers thanks to a friend's recommendation. As I am out of town a lot, Palmieri Movers provided me with a spec sheet to check off what I had to move and add in anything that was not listed; this was super convenient as I was not able to be home if they wanted a physical visit. As the weeks came closer to the move, I had a few changes (to furniture items, thanks to selling some online), and Victor and John were very accommodating and patient as I changed the inventory list several times, which was much appreciative. When the three man crew arrived, they were very friendly, polite and looked me in they eye when they shook my hand. Mike was the supervisor, and Tommy and José made up the rest of the crew; all were friendly and respectful throughout. Mike also clearly advised that if we went over the 2.5 hour time schedule, there would be an additional hourly charge, e.g, traffic or an unforeseen issue at the destination house. They moved items on two floors, plus a few boxes to the basement, without a hitch. Plus, when there was a challenge getting the beds up the stairs, thanks to a narrow stairwell, Mike went to work and removed the wrought iron stair rail, and they were able to place the beds upstairs. (Thanks, Mike!) This little issue did add a(n unexpected) half hour onto the move time, but in my estimation, it was worth it and I was grateful that the furniture could be placed upstairs, as intended. If I were to move again, I would certain call Palmieri Movers again, and recommend them to friends. I was very pleased. (Oh, and by the way, don't forget to tip your crew!)

They were excellent, professional, efficient and on time

I had some pieces of jewelry that came up missing. They brought in like eight men. Only one went upstairs and the others were told to stay downstairs. I went upstairs to ask about the price change and to see if we were going to be charged hourly or one set rate. He said it would be the one fee we agreed on. They did want $900.00 for insurance and I told him that I didn't want it. He said he would note it on the paperwork, however, he had it checked that we did want it. I told him again that I did not want the insurance. He unchecked it, but still charged us for it and have never been refunded for it. A couple pieces of jewelry are missing including my daughter's gold locket which was on her dresser and appx 1"x1". They had three teams of people that they changed out with during the day. They also wouldn't let me go on the truck to inspect my items. The following day, everyone was honest, in fact a different gentlman (crew chief) came up to me and advised that I hang on to some valuable items. I was satisfied with the second day move. They moving guys were great and put things exactly where we wanted it and were very efficient. It was the initial crew chief that we had an issue with. I did call several times regarding the $900.00 and was told finally that they would refund the money in full, however, we never received it.

Palmieri Movers are not your ordinary moving company. They did an excellent job right from estimating, to planning, disassemble/re-assemble and ensuring you are 100% satisfied. They are fully insured, and take all precautions to ensure a smooth move. Rest assured you are dealing with a company that been in business a number of years, and will provide outstanding service. They also quoted the lowest price. They Supervisor was excellent at his job, and lead the Team with great care. I will only use them in the future.

Arrived a little later than promised but finished the job on the promised time period. The original eatimate was spot on. Movers were professional and took good care of our stuff. Reasonable pricing, Angie's List discount was helpful. Would do business again with these guys.

5 days prior to moving I decided to hire a moving company for the upcoming Sunday. Palmieri Movers was more than professional and accomadating to work with. Ozzie sent me over the documents and an inventory list within 1 hour and provided an estimate within 24 hours. Their pricing was fair and based on the total estimated hours as well as an hourly rate if we went beyond the estimated time. I hired Palmieri and was prepared to pay overages as I'd experienced in prior moves with OTHER moving companies. Our movers were expected between 9-9:30am and at just before 9am I received a call that they were 25 minutes away. Our move began at 10am and the crew, Lee, Tony and Jose) were AMAZING! They worked diligently, professionally and as a team from the time they arrived to the time they completed the job at 6pm! They moved pieces that were large and extremely heavy and did everything methodically and with concern for our belongings. Great move, great crew, great day!! Couldn't have hoped for it to go any better, thank you!

Palmieri movers were extremely courteous, polite, organized and professional. They moved our 5 bedroom home from New Jersey to Connecticut. They were very efficient and really nice guys. We had one issue which they proactively brought to our attention and resolved the situation with no questions asked. I will absolutely use them for our next move.

This is not an honest company who stand on their promises. Please deal carefully with them On contacting the company, they provided me an estimate for moving my furniture and other stuff. I hired them and they moved my stuff. While scheduling, they promised me to give a 5% discount when I pay cash for their services. The same offer is still advertised through Angie's list as well. However, when the work was completed, I was not given the 5% discount even though I paid cash. So, after the movers left, I called the company and I was told I would receive a call from Jessie. I waited for a week and still received no call. I called them again and then they put me through to Jessie. She said she will look into the accounts and then will call me and send out a check. Since I didn't receive any call for 3 weeks, I called her again to see if there were any updates and she told me that they will mail out a check that day. I did not receive any check and I sent an email on Sept 2 to see if they really mailed it. I received a response that she will check with their accounting department and get back. I didn't receive a response for 2 weeks and so I emailed them again if there were any updates. I have not received any response yet. This is October 8th today. I moved on June 15th. I have been trying to get them send me a check since then and now its clear what their intentions are in this matter. Just wanted to alert the members on the way they work/deal with issues. During a move, there are bound to be an issue or two if you are a bit unlucky (like damaged furniture). If that's the case with you, its a nightmare to deal with them and you will never get any help from them. So please consider this area of their service as well before you hire them.

Mike and his crew took the stress out of moving day. True professionals from the minute they walked in the door. Each crew member introduced themselves and took Mike's lead as to where to start. Once they got going, they didn't stop. Every item was wrapped and handled with care and arrived in our new home in the same condition it left. They were neat and clean and very courteous. The crew made what could have been a very stressful day, stress free. I commend Palmieri for having such great, professional men work for your company. I also have to mention Jesse & Joanna in the office. They too are very professional and efficient. I received my quote in a timely manner and all the paperwork needed to confirm the move date was done seamlessly. They were both a pleasure to speak to. I highly recommend Palmieri movers to anyone for their moving needs. A++++ rating!

Overall they did a very good job. They arrived on time and worked efficiently. The only reason I did not give all "A" grades was that their pricing is confusing/deceptive. When I received an estimate, I was given a quote for two truck and their respective crews. For unclear reasons to me, a third truck and crew arrived (later than original two trucks) on moving date. Having the extra movers allowed things to be done quicker, but in the end still wound up costing more than the estimate as I was charged for the "travel time" for extra crew. In the end I wouldn't have minded paying for the extra crew members but they really should have informed me ahead of time about the extra cost associated with having more movers arrive.

The move was horrible. They said they had a "small move" in the morning, and would be to our house immediately after. They arrived at 4:00 p.m. The truck was too small for the move, the packing of the truck was horrible. My mattress and box springs were delivered dirty and one of the movers was putting the legs on my white couch with his dirty hands, and got my couch filthy. Even though it was shrink-wrapped, it was filthy when it arrived at my new home. I have to have a cleaner come in to clean my couch and loveseat now. They finished unloading the truck at 11:30 p.m. It was horrible, the boxes were put in the wrong rooms and they packed up and were ready to leave. That was when we got hit with the new "total" amount. We new it would be more than the estimate, and were told there was a 3 or 4% surcharge to put it on a credit card. My fiance took $1100 out of the bank to pay them. The bill was more than that so I gave them my debit card. Thankfully, I hadn't been paid that week, because the following morning I received a phone call from Palmieri's saying it was declined. We got to the bottom of it, it was declined because they were trying to charge over $1400! I told the girl we paid $1100 in cash, and she replied "oh, then let me try again." Now, if I had gotten paid that week, I wouldn't have found out until my checks starting bouncing! I would never recommend these movers to anyone. I now have to lay out another $250 to get my furniture cleaned, my mattress can't be cleaned properly, and these guys just walked out. Oh, by the way, they broke a table too.

They were very accommodating, I had two stops to make in between, and they were very patient. Very professional, and I was very please, I highly recommend them.

the 3-man team was responsive to requests, work was time-effective, orderly & clean. The guys were polite and a pleasure to do business with. I would definitely use them again & would recommend them to others.

The overall grade is a B-, but should have been higher since the crew was courteous, hard working, and the price seemed good. However, one unprofessional member of the crew lowered the overall grade. Apparently, during the move a 4 inch steel bolt used to assemble a bed frame was lost, Rather than disclosing the problem to me and trying to resolve the issue the crew member covered up the problem by substituting a ball point pen for the steel bolt. Needless to say a ball point pen is a poor replacement for a steel bolt, the bed collapsed soon after the crew left. Fortunately, no one was injured, but certainly could have been. The responsible action would have been to solve the problem with the customer, instead this crew member chose the unprofessional route to get off the premises fast at the risk of me and my family. I called the company to tell them of the incident and I hope they put in procedures to prevent this from happening again.

We have used this company several times since the late 1990s and have never been disappointed. On yesterday's move, the team of three young men arrived on time and proceeded, as always, to attack the task very professionally; they were polite, pleasant, and very careful. The move was difficult in that some of the furniture was going to a small senior apartment building in a unit that was already crowded with "stuff," but the team managed the task cheerfully and with skill. The second move was to a storage facility, where they cleverly and sensibly arranged all furniture and boxes to fit within the rented space.

I had hired them because I wanted to be very sure about my things and wanted someone trust-worthy. I was a little disappointing in their services. My best piece of furniture they broke the leg on it, and the did not tell me. The only way I found out is it gave out and my daughter told me about it. We were so busy putting everything in the proper places we didn't notice and were in for a rude surprise. I really feel bad about it, other than that everything came out okay. The guys were nice but a little slow. They charged me for 3 hours, after that they charged me per hour.

Did an excellent job. Showed up on time. Wrapped all of the furniture. Loaded the truck quickly. Unloaded quickly and carefully. The crew was professional, worked non-stop and stayed within the estimated time.

I just bought my first house and was very nervous about the move. I packed my own things and put them in a storage facility until the move. They were to make two stops to come to the storage facility to pick up my boxes then to the apartment to pick up any leftover boxes and furniture. The day of the move was a smooth as butter. They met me at the storage facility right on time and quickly and efficiently cleared out the storage space, then they followed me to the apartment and they emptied out my apartment in no time at all. I then followed them to my new home 75 miles away and the truck was unloaded and things were put in place in the house in less than an hour. The movers were nice and very professional, they moved everything quickly but with care. Overall, I was very pleased with my entire experience from Palmieri, from the initial contact with the office staff to the actual move itself. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone!

I requested the same team that provided service last year when we moved because they were that good. And again, we were not disappointed. They arrived on time, as promised, were organzied in the manner in which they handle and load our belongings.Don't waste any time in their performance. They shrink wrap and quilt rap everything. My boxes were marked by me, indicating the room in which I wanted them placed, and not 1 was handled incorrectly. We had no accidents with furniture; everything arrived just fine. Dom and his crew are the best.Pleasant, polite, professional! Management returns calls and keeps appointments for appraisals as well. Don't hesitate to use these pros!

As promised, on the day of the move, the movers called us to advise when they would be arriving to load the truck. Lee was the captain of the team of 3. He and his colleagues, Henry and Kenneth, worked hard, diligently, non-stop and very carefully. Nothing was broken and there were no scratches on the walls. They offered to move the sofa and other pieces of furniture to re-position them. We had the "A Team" -- Lee and the guys were great, polite and they well-deserved and earned their tips due to their fine service. We have recommended Palmieri Movers to several people and would use them again due to our excellent overall experience.
