Contractor responded to my request for an estimate in 24 hours. Estimate was very detailed in services to be rendered. Estimate on higher end of the three roofers who submitted estimates but Double D received excellent on-line reviews, an A+ rating from the BBB and has a GAF master elite roofer certification. The roofing crew came on time, was very professional, performed job in one day. Cleaned up the property very well, using magnets to pick up loose nails, swept driveway and sidewalks. Would highly recommend.

I requested estimate for deck work and Double D arrived as promised when promised to review the job. Very professional. Attentive to my thoughts for job and made very good suggestions. He provided the estimate when promised and the price was very competitive. That reliability should translate to the work, we simply needed to delay the project.

Double D did an excellent job. I received 3 other estimates and they were right there with the others in terms of cost. Dealt mostly with Rob after Dennis provided the estimate; Rob was very proactive along the way which was great. They completed the roofing job over 2 days and were punctual, tidy and professional throughout. I'd definitely recommend them to others and would use them again in a flash.

I waited till after the winter and into most of the rainy season of March/April before I wrote this review. Needed to make sure. They removed all old roof / siding and gutter off the backside of my house. I have had a leak in the back side of my home 3 years after I purchased it. Looks like the previous owner had this issue too but was too cheap to fix it right. Unfortunately for me, I did not find Double D Construction till I had tried three roof/contractors that did not fix the issue. Saw their signs all over the place as I live near their HQ. I spoke to the owner once and he seem very sincere and knowledgeable but did not hire as I already hired someone. The other roofer did not fix the problem so I called Double D. They came on time and was always courtesy. They said I would have to remove the entire back, down to the wood to get the issue resolved and that all the little fixes will only add up over time. I went with them. They have fixed the issue now! It's been comforting as I don't have to worry about my family when I am at work.

Excellent service from Double D. Communicative and punctual. Completed job in one day. Professional job. Complete tear off of two layers, and replace roof - 3 bedroom ranch with attached garage. Needed some plywood replaced, and turned out we needed new metal edging around entire roof. Took out old roof fan, and added ridge vent. Removed old antenna. Plus, added a roof vent for bath fan hose. The cost was about $1000 more than the estimate, but we had no problem with that: 1) We knew we'd need repairs, 2) The roof vent for bath fan, and (especially) the metal edging was not known beforehand that we would need. Looks great. We'd use again, and definitely recommend.

Got estimate fall 2013. Called 12 months later to arrange work. Estimate was still honored. Start to finish, the entire process was very professional. Job completed neatly in 2 days.

From the minute I called this company they were amazing! They returned my call for service immediately. I explained that I had another company give me an estimate who did not want to be bothered with me AND try to sell me a bill of goods! They came out immediately and called me with a wonderful reasonable estimate. Due to weather conditions we had to wait a bit. Once the weather was better they called me immediately to set up an appointment to do the work.The salesman were wonderful as were the workers doing the work. They showed up early, before the time they even said. They called throughout the day with updates on what was going on. Anyone who does not use this company is missing out. This company will be my roofer for life!!! :)

They were quick to response to my request, and understand the timing in which the work needed to be done. On the day of the work, they actually called to let me know that they were on their way; once they arrived they got right to work. This is the second time I have used them for work at my house, and would not hesitate to call them again.

He was very professional. They did a great job. They installed the 50 year shingles for the 30 year price. They were efficient. They cleaned everything.

They were very good. They got here, they were a very professional team. They had a master carpenter and he was in charge or everything and he really took care of getting the job done right so I was very pleased with that. Certainly when they come here and do the work, they did really great work. They're a little more expensive I think than most, but it's the value of their work done.

The job went well. The crew came on time, prepared the place well to collect the debris etc and stated working. Took time to explain what and how they are going to do the work. Only issue was pertaining to the cost of replaced plywood. Original oral agreement was up to three plywood planks would be replaced free of cost, which they wanted to charge. But the matter was amicably settled without any additional charge by the intervention of Mr. D.D.

They were prompt and professional. Started work early in the morning and completed the work in a day and a half. We had gotten three other estimates and they were less expensive by about $850. After the roof was installed our power bill decreased substantially!

Dennis Darrow, the owner, is a pleasure to do business with. He is professional, competent, and fair. True to his word, the roof was completed in one day. Dennis is very organized and he surrounds himself with wonderful people. His crews, which are task specific, are friendly, professional, skilled and hard working. Rob is the scheduler. He is efficient, kind, patient and understanding. Andre was my crew chief for the roofers. He set the tone for the day and the entire job when he rang the doorbell at 7:30 am, introduced himself, and put me at ease by telling me if I had any questions or concerns during the day I could talk to him. Mike was the supervisor of all the crews and he handled the paperwork. He took total responsibility for my job and made sure I was pleased with the roof and that the property was left spotless. Everyone worked hard and seamlessly. On day two, Omar, the crew chief for the gutters, extended the same courtesies and professionalism shown prior.

Fortunately, I was at home when the work was being done. The work would have been done incorrectly and I would have never known. I was paying for additional ice shield and it was not being put in place until I showed them my copy of the contract. I asked that their leader call one of the owners, but he said he did not have to do so. I did not appreciate being put in the position of "supervisor" for these workmen. Joe Casale
