Don’t use this company they do not stand behind their work their men screwed up the end of my driveway where it meets the street there’s only a half inch asphalt I called them into re-paved area because it was breaking up in that area they did not do as I asked and they tried to fix it after they were done when I got home and all they did was make it worse I called multiple times at least 10 with very little response and no attempt to come and repair the damage that they create it

The driveway looks fantastic. The workers were a great group of men. Cleaned up after they were done, friendly group. We had a hard time waiting to park on it, so nice and smooth instead of having a muddy river when it rains. Thank you for our driveway. Louise Bernelle and family

The driveway look great. Joe was able to expand the width and remove an old concrete border. We had a few days of rain after the work was completed and you could watch the water run right off, no puddles. There was a slight delay due to weather but was kept informed the entire time.

They came back to fix the apron (End of drivway) Still was not right and never answered my calls or came back . Now years later I am paying someone else to re do it! So disappointing... And I personally know the Bellamys!

4/23/14 Update - driveway is developing cracks in various locations. Tree roots, which were to be removed, have started to come through in a few locations. End of driveway has become brittle and starting to break away. The initial meeting went great, sounded very professional, experienced, someone you can trust. I specifically remember him saying I could trust him and he is always around to take care of his customers. Gave a good estimate compared to others. Showed up on time to do the job. Unfortunately, that's the best part of the story. They did not pave to the end of the driveway. The reason I was given was they did not want to go all the way out to the road in case the town does repair work then they won't ruin my driveway. Not aware of any upcoming town projects that could cause that situation. Another contractor stated that it appears he ran out of pavement for the job. The end of the driveway has a bevel in it. The explanation given was this was done so water could run across my driveway to the other side. Unfortunately, the other side is too high and now the water sits in the center of the driveway. The driveway is only 6 months and I had to have it sealed just to try and protect it. The contractors who gave estimates on the seal job all indicate that it has rough spots, was not packed enough, slightly dipping in certain areas and that I should definitely plan on sealing it every year. I sent emails (latest one returned undeliverable), left voice messages but no return.

The tear out and installation of block went fine. The asphalt work was terrible. The day I could park on the driveway I called and complained to Robin that the asphalt was coming up in a number of places. Repeated phone calls and e mails were ignored. When I threatened a lawsuit Joe finally came out and told me he was going to seal it. That was in March. Repeated e mails and phone calls are ignored. After reading the other review I guess taking Joe to small claims court will get me nowhere. I now have to pay another contractor to fix this terrible job. How one can name his business after himself and treat customers this way is beyond me. Stay away from Bellamy.

Asphalt was laid down, but there was a considerable seam in the middle of the driveway. Bellamy said that this is the way it is always done. Within 10 months the seam started to crack, and Bellamy was informed. Come the Spring, after numerous phone calls, he came to look at the crack which extended the full length of the driveway. He refused to replace it, instead he insisted that if he sealed the crack it would be fine. This was done in August, and by October the crack appeared again. I informed him via phone and in writing requesting that he replace the driveway when the Spring arrived. By the Spring of 2010, the crack was deeper and wider, extending the full length of the driveway. In April 2010, he said that he would not replace the driveway, but he would seal it again. With that said, he left and never returned a phone call or responded to written correspondence. I brought him to court and he did not show up. There is a judgement against him. In filing out the court papers, I found an article from Eyewittness News, 7 On Your Side that in, July 2007 he took a women's money for a driveway and never did the work. I also found other articles on Merchant Circle from two other customers who experienced Bellamy's poor workmanship, and arrogance. One couple's driveway actually caved in months after he laid down the asphalt. The owner of this company lives and operates out of the same town that I live in, he does not care about his reputation, because people will unknowingly hire him. He not only performs poor workmanship, but he is also dishonest. Don't ever hire him.
