American Heritage Wood Floor

When the floors were done, I was checking them and noticed a couple of spots that didn't look coated with poly and I wanted Bob, the owner to check. I was unable to check the floors prior to this because they were drying. He came over promptly and said it the spot was ok. As I was walking through the kitchen I noticed that visibly under the stove, it looked like the floors were striped. I asked Bob about it and he said yes, it was the only place he messed up??? He said should have taken the oven drawer out. The stripes I noticed are the combination of the old finish, which was not stripped, meeting the new finish. I asked how can we fix it, it's really noticeable? His response was, I tell you what I'm not going to do and that is to sand the floor again. I never asked for that, just a solution to fix the problem. So after he got loud with me, he grabbed the envelope I had sitting on the table next to his invoice, and stormed out. My fault with the envelope, should never have left it out in plain sight. I will file a police report today on that. My husband called this a.m. to try and reason with him, In addition to the stove issue, we noticed under closer inspection, that in the middle of the kitchen floor drying in to the poly, is a long gray hair, Bob has long gray hair. Husband mentioned both issues to him and he will not do anything about it. That will have to be mediated in small claims court. ANYONE, PLEASE STAY AWAY. I'm a reasonable person but this is totally unacceptable. I also want to say that I had no interactions with him previously so there was no issues personality wise or anything else. He showed up at 10:30 each day too which wasn't an issue for us except we would have like the poly coat done a little earlier to allow more drying time during the day.

Bob refinished the floors in two stages which helped out with moving and storing furniture. There was no extra charge for doing the floors in two stages. Every other company wanted to charge to do the work in two stages. Bob was the most reasonable price out of the other 4 estimates I got. Bob does an excellent job, he takes his time to make sure everything is done correctly. He does not rush and makes sure he does not make a mess. I was very pleased with how my floors came out and the 42 years of experience showed in the finished product. I was very happy with how the entire process went and would recommend using Bob.
