 + 0 moreWe have a large home and I was pleased with the pricing Jim gave me because his service covered the whole house. I usually get the green mold on one side and a few spots in other places and have paid as much as $400 just for cleaning those. To get the entire house done for $200 more seemed more than reasonable. The work was performed promptly and carefully by Jim's team. I was very pleased with the end result and would not hesitate to recommend this company for friends and neighbors. I plan to use Jim's services again when the need arises.
Description of Work: Jim's company performed a soft wash siding cleaning on my home in EHT. I liked the idea of using a mild detergent based cleaning solution instead of the typical pressure wash that many other service providers do.

 + 1 moreThe owner, Jim Chesmore, and his crew did a very nice, professional job, and I was very happy to get rid of the algae from my house and fence; it really made a difference, and I definitely need to do it more often. I'll be calling him again next year. One caveat: Softwashing is a very effective method for general cleaning, but there are some types of dirt that only powerwashing or good scrubbing is going to remove. I still had a few areas that needed a bit more attention because of some sticky substance splattered on it. I had already paid the bill, and with some tradesmen that ends the transaction as far as they are concerned, and you will never hear from them again if you have a complaint. Jim was not that way at all. He wanted me to be happy with the job, and came back and scrubbed the area 'til it sparkled. There were still a few areas that weren't restored to 'like new' condition, but that is due to the age of the siding rather than the fault of the cleaning job. As Jim likes to remind people, "It's a power wand, not a magic wand." All in all, I recommend Jim and JC Soft Wash for their hard work and integrity. Plus, Jim is just a nice guy in general.
Description of Work: JC Soft Wash cleaned my two-story house and vinyl fencing using the 'Softwash' technique which uses a sprayed-on detergent followed by a low pressure wash to remove dirt and algae without danger of damaging the siding with high pressure equipment. I don't know what the average charge for powerwashing is, other than the signs nailed to power poles that advertise $99 for single-story and $199 for two-story houses, which I'm sure is a low-ball price for a so-so job. In fact, I've heard from other reviews that the advertised price is just to get calls - the actual charge is higher (but I have no personal experience on that; it's just hearsay.) JC Soft Wash charged about $350 for the large 2-story house, and he measured it in order to calculate the price. The fence was an extra $100 to clean and is about 250 linear feet long. It wasn't cheap, but it is probably reasonable.

JC Power Wash & Soft Wash LLC offers the following services: Soft Washing - Top of the line soft washing equipment is used to gently apply a cleaning solution on the surface, given some time to work & then rinsed away using low pressure, similar to a garden hose. Safe on all siding materials to safely remove dirt, grime, salt & sand, mold, algae. - Power Washing - used to clean concrete, stone, brick & pavers . Roof Cleaning: unique soft washing system is used to gently apply cleaning solution to roof shingles. This solution will immediately kill algae, black mildew, and moss growth. After a few solid rain storms, your roof should look clean.
Note: heavy moss growth on the roof shingles usually requires a longer period to clear up after the roof treatment due to the thick nature of moss and how it attaches itself to shingles.
