Merry Maids of Perth Amboy

They did a poor job and were very slow. They were not here for the full 3 hours, they were here for 2 and a half. When they left the kitchen cabinet handles and counter tops were sticky. They were to deep clean and all they did was dust and they did not dust everything. I tried to speak to the office when i got a bill from them for $500.00, which they would not reduce. I called the corporate office, this being a franchise, and I was then told that they would discuss it with the Franchisee but that it was ultimately up to the franchisee. The end result was that they did a poor job and over charged me by $200.00 from what I was originally quoted.

We hired Merry Maids to do a housecleaning before a function going on Saturday. A lady came and made a presentation of the service. All sounded fine and we signed a contract. I felt the price was on the high side, but we needed the house cleaned and the presentation sounded good. A two person crew came on Wednesday to clean the house under the supervision of mom. One member of the crew was better than the other who seem disinterested in really cleaning each room. They did an OK job, but not to the level of the presentation given by the sales person (blinds were still dusty) and it definitely didn't match the price paid. This job was also a tryout to see if we would sign up for regular cleannings. The answer to that is no. I would look to cheaper competition for regular cleanings in the future.

They were good. My interaction with them was pretty standard. The one thing that stood out was they were extremely responsive. I called them, and they responded the same day; it was not like I had to schedule a week in advance or anything like that. I don’t know how much they charged; my wife had some kind of coupon or some deal, and I don’t know if that was the regular going rate or not. It was fairly cheap. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

I SAW THIS COMPANY ON THE TELEVISION, AND I DECIDED TO TRY THEM OUT. THEY DID A GOOD ENOUGH JOB BUT AFTER THEY LEFT, I NOTICED THAT THE FINISH HAD COME OFF BETWEEN THE PLANKS. NOW I HAVE TO FINISH MY FLOORS AGAIN.
