Description of Work: I used Mann's Heating & Air Conditioning for heating and a/c service. There is a new type of heating syatem that was installed instead of having a chimney to exhaust gases that chimney no longer is used, it's a totlally type of system that require these runs with whatever they are heating ventilating authority.

Description of Work: Mann's Big deal was advertised as $1899 for $3950 of furnace replacement cost. I had 3 other estimates ranging from $2650-$3985, the highest being from NJR Home Services (the service company associated with New Jersey Natural Gas). When I got the estimate from Vinnie Mann he said I would have a balance of $1385 over the deal purchased. When I emailed him to confirm that his estimate was for $5335 he said yes. I let him know that all my other estimates which entailed exactly the same adjustments and modifications as his were far less. He replied that they might being using a different furnace...which in fact NJR was supplying a superior 2-stage furnace to his basic single-stage unit which was advertised as included in the $1899 deal. I have no intention of doing business with someone so dishonest to advertise a deal and then inflate costs so drastically. Even with my final cost at $3285 which would put him in the middle range of estimates (albeit with an inferior product to the higher quote), his false claims and inflated costs reveal his dishonesty and I will not entrust such a major purchase that the health and well being of my family depend upon from someone so morally corrupt.

We are sorry that (Removed member name) was not pleased with the estimate given. The Mann’s $1899 Big Deal was for a direct replacement of a forced hot air gas furnace, in which the furnace would be installed to an existing plenum. Any additional work outside of the scope of the Big Deal would be charged accordingly. The additional $1,385.00 quoted to (Removed member name) was for the following; • Removal of the evaporator coil and reinstall after new furnace is set in place • Pressure test and vacuum refrigerant lines once evaporator coil is reinstalled • Install furnace on a sheet metal base with filter rack for easy filter changes • Programmable Thermostat • 4” Mechanical Air Cleaner The additional work is outside the scope of the Big Deal offered, and was therefore priced accordingly. We are not dishonest nor morally corrupt. If indeed the make- up of your HVAC system allowed for a direct furnace replacement to an existing plenum, we would not have to charge the additional amount. There are others who have purchased our Big Deal as-is with no additional costs. We have been in business over fifty years and pride ourselves on customer satisfaction. We thank you for the opportunity to provide a quote.

Mann's Heating & AC Inc were very responsive. I had dealt with them a year ago for something else and they took care of everything. They did try to repair the old unit before getting the new one. I would use this company in future.

It blew out again. The tech came back, replaced the new blown fuse, diagnosed the problem (inadequate fuse box) and charged nothing.
Description of Work: A month earlier, Mann's technician replaced blown fuse for outdoor AC compressor.

I did my research on the systems and consulted 4 contractors. I felt Mann will do a good job, even though they did not give me the best price. After the contract was signed the work was performed very quickly. Vinnie Mann, the current owner of the company, is a very nice person to deal with and knows his job well. My only problem is I still don't have a permit for the work they performed. Looks like they haven't applied for the permit yet. I called them couple of times regarding this but very bad in getting back to me on this. You have to at least call about 4 times for them to get back to you.
