+ -1 moreOur old TV took up so much space in a tiny guest upstairs bedroom. It had a built-in wooden base that was heavy and it was certainly no flat screen either. The Junk It guys arrived on time, had it out of the room and down the stairs in minutes. The pricing was reasonable and they were very polite and professional. We plan to call them again when we're ready to do that floor project we mentioned.
Description of Work: They took a decades-old TV that was huge and heavy out the door for me.

He came promptly with one other guy and they made sure they picked up everything we had asked them to, including crawling under the deck to grab leftover pieces of wood from construction. Very efficient, friendly, no fuss. We were very pleased and would use them again.

+ -1 moreWe feel so lucky that Mike helped us! Mike (owner of Junk It) was amazing - quick to respond, best pricing, professional, clean and neat. To be honest, I feel bad for posting the actual price of my job, because Mike worked so hard and deserved more - "Junk It" was definitely priced better than other companies on Angie's List. Being new homeowners, we have a tight budget due to all our renovations/ repairs; however, Mike was willing to negotiate on price to help us out. Mike's services were a huge help - the previous owners left behind a lot of junk in the backyard and gazebo (in poor condition) and there was no way we could have gotten rid of it ourselves. Not only did Mike handle the teardown (he brought his own tools) and removal of the old gazebo - he went above and beyond by removing some old flower pots too. We had underestimated the level of difficulty in tearing down the old gazebo, but Mike did not charge us additional for the extra time/ labor involved - other companies would have charged a lot more. The funny part is that Mike did not even need our business - "Junk It" is so booked with jobs that Mike is already working 12-hour days (he's also a Firefighter) - Mike really did us a favor! Also, do not hesitate to call Junk It/ owner Mike even if your location is not near their office - their territory covers Northern and Central NJ, and even Monmouth or Ocean County (we live down at the Jersey Shore). We are really grateful for Mike's help in overcoming a big obstacle and we highly recommend "Junk It" for their clean, neat, professional junk removal services!

I needed to get my cousins house ready for sale and had a very limited time frame to get the job done since my cousin was in the hospital and I am from out of state. I went to Mike for the job based on his high ratings on Angie's list and knowing that I did not have time to get estimates and make a choice on who to hire. Mike came to the house when I requested and gave me a very reasonable estimate to empty the house. He and his co-worker got the job done and cleaned-upo before leaving.

+ -1 moreI wish I could give the Gregory Brothers of Junk It an A+ in all categories. The job took about 2 1/2 hours. Great communication as to arrival times for the estimate and on clean up day. The price was extremely fair for the amount of work that needed to be done, especially as some of the items were very heavy or needed to be dismantled prior to removal. They worked quickly and neatly, even removed / replaced interior doors so they would not be damaged. They swept up the area of the basement where they needed to break up an old wood tool / storage cabinet. If I ever need clean up services in the future, Junk It will be the "go to" company for me.
Description of Work: Removed old furniture / refrigerator / large console TV / window air conditioner from first floor apartment plus old wood, machinery, cabinets, several sheets of old 4x8 sheet rock and assorted junk from basement and garage.

They removed a variety of junk - from a sleeper sofa & weight set to old trunks, TVs, and broken appliances. They were careful, quiet, and quick. The whole job took about 1.5 hours and they filled their truck. As I clear out more items from the house, I will surely be calling Junk It to help me again in the future. The Junk It gentlemen were prompt, courteous, professional, and a pleasure to do business with.

+ 0 moreI called Mike on Wednesday to arrange service, and on Saturday morning he and his brother arrived with a truck. We settled on a price and they spent five hours clearing out materials from a demo job. Throughout they were very courteous, professional, capable, efficient, and all in all did a great job. They even went above and beyond and helped remove one of the cabinets, and move some heavy items out of the way. In the end the truck was completely full (in fact a couple of contractor bags would not fit), they swept up and left the place tidy. I will use them again.

+ -1 moreCalled Junk-It on an early Thursday afternoon, spoke with Mike and asked if he could come down and do an estimate later that day. He came over, gave a reasonable estimate and we made arrangements for a Saturday morning job. The truck pulled up the driveway at 11:00 a.m. on the dot. Mike and his brother took no more than 20 minutes for the job but it may have felt longer since the bags and tub they had to haul must weighs half a ton. The bags contained mostly concrete material and metal meshing. Each bag may have weighed 50 pounds. Our contractors took 3 men to haul the tub outside the house but this duo had to carry it to the truck AND lift the tub up more than 3 feet up the back of the truck. It looked painful (and I'm certain was) but they were up for the task. Although it was a small job, it packed a bit of a punch. Perhaps I should have given them a bottle of Advil with our check for the job. They were pleasant, professional, efficient and we would definitely call again if we need them. You gotta call them and see for yourself what a great job they do. Seriously, pick up the phone. Now.

Description of Work: Very simply, the contractor NEVER SHOWED UP! I called and got Brett on the phone. We made an appointment for 9am, Saturday November 3. By 930a when nobody had showed up, I called - voice-mail. No return call. I called again around 1015a - voice-mail. No return call. I called again about an hour later - voice-mail. I finally got a call from Mike after 11a. He told me they had double-booked!!! He apologized, but NOT SHOWING UP is the worst thing a contractor can do! And, that doesn't explain why he did not call me FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. I asked if he was going to show up, because at that point, I was not going to get someone else to come out the same day. He told me he would, but it would be after 3p. At 330p, I called - voice-mail. No return call. At around 4115p, I called again - voice-mail. No return call. At around 530p, I called one final time - I left a voice-mail telling them how unbelievable they are and also told them that I would be writing this review on Angie's list. Around 815p, Mike called !!!!! I did not pick up the phone. He left a message apologizing, saying that they are a 2-person company, and the job they were on took longer than expected. Really??? So, he calls at 815p to tell me this? THE ONLY REASON WHY HE CALLED IS BECAUSE I TOLD HIM THAT I WAS GOING TO WRITE A REVIEW, AND HE WANTED TO BE ABLE TO SAY THAT HE TRIED TO MAKE IT RIGHT!! HOWEVER, THERE IS NO MAKING IT RIGHT WHEN YOU DON'T SHOW UP!!! Beware, because I believe that being a 2-person company, they purposely double-book, so that if someone cancels on them, they still have a job, and then they go to the one worth more money. GO ELSEWHERE, OR RISK A NO-SHOW, AND

+ -1 moreCalled Mike on tuesday, he and his brother came out that day to look and give price. Two nice guys, very professional - and strong, so they can move heavy stuff I'm sure (I didn't have anything too heavy) negotiated a bit and settled on the $500. We agreed on that Friday for removal of the junk. They came exactly on time with their truck. I think it holds 12 cubic yards, and when it was loaded, it was pretty full - so that gives you an idea of how much 'junk' was removed. I don't know how these prices would compare for sure, as I only looked at a few providers on angie's list and tried to guage a price range based on other reviews of all providers. I ended up calling Mike because of the very good reviews and the prices, and their proximity to the job. Glad I did as the work was done quickly and as agreed, and I believe the price was fair. I would definitely call them again (and may have to to for 'round 2' of the cleanup wars ;) Thanks guys!

I explained what I wanted to be removed from my property- basically a bunch of stones, rocks -bricks and some wood as well. We set up an appointment for the following day --he was punctual-gave me a free estimate and he was willing to work within my budget--the cost he quoted included everything --he was able to estimate the weight right on the spot. We scheduled an appointment for the following day and he showed up promptly - was diligent and left my yard clean. He had underestimated the weight, but still charged me for what he quoted. It's very refreshing to find someone like Mike and the way he works--was polite, professional and very reasonable with his estimate. Of course he removes a lot of different things--I would definitely contact him again in the future if I need his services..
