See above. Mr. Leaks has failed to paint the garage door. I will never hire him again. Based on these facts, a friend will also not contact for an estimate.

Rocky did not start the job until 3-4 weeks after contract signed. He would arrive between 10 am and 11 am and leave by 4 pm. He painted the den ceiling but did not repair the nail pops until I showed him that they were still there. He painted and repaired them several times because he missed them. He painted the metal railings, but they peeled and chipped after a couple of months. I had the carpet replaced in the bedroom and when I took the door off, took it outside to shorten, I could see that he only put one coat of paint on doors because you could see the old paint through the new paint. When he left he said that if I had any problems he would be happy to come back to fix everything. He wanted a happy customer. He also knew that I needed a painter to paint another home I own and if I was happy, he would get the job. I contacted him on August 23 and told him about rails needing to be repainted or repaired. He has been promising to come and repair/repaint since then.. There are too many broken promises to list. I have contacted by phone and text, he promises to come over, but there is always an excuse or no response at all. I last texted him March 23, 2016 and asked if he plans on fixing the problem but I have not received a response. I doubt that I will get a response or that he will return to fix the problems. I have copies of all the texts and exchanges as proof of my review.

Rocky and Larry delivered the work we expected and then some. All work was done in a very timely and professional manner and at a price which falls within the current painting market. We highly recommend Rocky and Larry.

Rocky came highly recommended by a detail-oriented veteran of several home renovation projects who has used him a number of times. Rocky comes off very laid-back which initially made me lean against using him, since I had interviewed some painters from Angie's List, anyone of whom would have done an excellent job. But I warmed up to him as I went back and forth, solidifying details of the various estimates. A major plus was that Rocky was happy to work on weekends and was able to accommodate my pacing and schedule. Price was not a deciding factor because all of the contractors' estimates came in close to each other. Rocky knows his stuff. He also has a good sense of color and offered feedback when asked. Rocky, together with his helper of 15 years, Larry, painted the interior of my home over the course of four weekends. They worked from room-to-room based on a timeline agreed to upfront to give me a more breathing space clearing out the space. Their personalities are pleasant so, disruptions to household routines aside, I felt comfortable working with them and having them around. They were meticulous and cleaned up after themselves afterward. The woodwork and other spaces were caulked, settlement cracks filled, and walls sanded prior to applying the primer and paint. They, not only adhered to the timeline, but finished up a day ahead of schedule (by putting in a couple very long days). The work was done neatly and meticulously and the house looks fabulous. Visitors have remarked on the neatness and attractiveness of the work. I felt good about my experience and highly recommend him.

He is extremely neat. He really does a good job and he is one man. He came everyday and he worked hard and took his time but very clean and meticulous.

Rocky painted our house when we first moved in and we thought he was great - the house looked terrific and we were very impressed that he didn't even mask a single wall. At that time we told him that we were going to be doing some construction in the house and that we wold call him back to touch up afterword. We had two sets of floating bookshelves and several picture shelves custom made and installed, and also decided to change the color of our bathroom. When we called him back, there was a 180 degree turn on the service and professionalism. He wouldn't return phone calls, from us or from our designer, for days at a time. When he did finally return to inspect the work, he said he could do it and told us he would be there in two days. He wrote out a scope of work, we agreed on what we thought was a fair price, and my husband paid him the first half. He didn't show, nor did anyone connected with him. It took another few days to get a hold of him. When he finally did show up and began painting, the colors were different. He told us he would need to paint every surface wall-to-wall again, and asked my husband for more money. We paid him for additional materials (and even that I thought was more than we should have done), but I refused to pay him for whatever extra time he spent, since I felt that he should have bought more paint to start with, knowing that we were planning on this construction. Then it was several days before he returned. This dragged on for weeks. We went through the ritual of him saying he wold be at the house and then not showing up at least 3 times. We wanted to find another painter but at this point, the construction had been going on for nearly 3 months and we just wanted the job done. I was so angry I told him that he was lucky that painters were harder to replace than doctors, because if I had pulled the s*%^ that he had pulled at my job, I would have gotten fired! Eventually he did finally send his assistant, but the "finished" job was shoddy and sloppy. In the bathroom, where we went from brick-red to sandy beige, we later discovered he didn't even put a primer down. He painted around the light switches instead of removing them, dripped paint all over our (new) vanity and tile floor (black), and didn't even paint behind the toilet!! There are drip marks all over the walls. I even wrote up a contract "extension", signed by Rocky (David Meeks), myself and my husband, stating that we reserved the right to call him back at any time within 2 weeks after the job was finished if we noticed anything that still wasn't done to our satisfaction. I did call him back, but he never responded and in the end, our carpenter actually finished up the painting. I will never EVER hire him again and I don't recommend to anyone else that they ever use him.

Excellent work. Very pleasant and professional. Ensured I was happy. This is the second job Rocky has done for me and each time I am pleased. I highly recommend. Only concern is that his assistant was not as detail oriented or thorough in his work as Rocky tends to be. He sets the bar high.

Rocky did a very good job overall, I would definitely hire him again. My only problem is that some of his workers were not very conscientious about the window treatments. They took the window treatments down to paint the windows and instead of putting them back up, they threw the brackets in the garbage. After notifying Rocky of the issue, he corrected the problem and bought new brackets and rehung the window treatments.

ROCKY THE PAINTER DID AN OVER AND ABOVE EXCELLENT JOB. VERY NEAT AND MANNERLY. LEFT EACH DAY AND CAME BACK THE FOLLOWING DAY AS PROMISED. HAD NO PROBLEM WITH TRUSTING THIS GENTLEMAN IN MY HOME.
