Description of Work: Windows replaced on entire house.Did a respectable Job of installing and cleaning up.Called and said a few windows needed adjusting and they came out the next day and corrected those involved.

Description of Work: Very professional. Very good presentation of product with little pressure. The actual job took longer than expected for them to start due to poor weather conditions.

Description of Work: We got a quote - which took all night long to get to. The salesman was there about 3 hours showing us all sorts of things. At the end when they came to price we almost fell over $30,000. Completely outrageous. Then on the spot they tried to get us to agree. The salesman said they prided themselves on not being a forceful company. However when he left we received multiple phone calls from the company to keep trying to get us to agree to use them. No way would we spend that much. In the end we ordered replacement windows ourselves which my husband can install. Just to show you an idea - we have three pretty big windows in the front of our house which they wanted to charge us $10,000 for. My husband ordered the replacements for them which was $1000 total for nice quality Pella Windows. They were going to charge $9000 for labor!!!

Description of Work: I had someone come out to give me a price on windows for my whole house. They couldn't give me a price estimate at the first visit (or perhaps wouldn't since my wife had to leave before the appointment was over) and they would only schedule the follow up visit when we would both be available. At the second visit several prices were given: a one year price, a 30 day price, a today only price, and a discounted today only price if he could get some special vouchers from a home show or something. This was followed by some high pressure sales tactics. We weren't ready to make a decision and it took a little while to get him to accept that and leave. He asked what I wanted to pay and I gave him a number which was really just a guess since I didn't have any other estimates to use for comparison yet. On his way out he asked if I would make a deal if he could get his manager to agree to that price and I said I still wasn't ready to make a decision. He implied that I wasn't truthful then as if he were catching me in a lie. That wasn't very comfortable. If you corner me into giving you a price I'm just going to throw something out even I'm still not ready. Don't imply that I lied. Soon after the second visit I started getting emails from the inside sales manager trying to lower the price even further because he could "bundle me in" with some upcoming commercial job. So the today only price wasn't really that day only? Who's lying now? They also didn't give me anything in writing until I asked them to which made it hard to remember what the prices even were for comparison purposes. When they did send me something it was a cell phone picture of a quote sheet. I started doing some research online (probably the last thing they want you to do) and found that every one of their sales tactics are documented gimmicks to make you feel like you're getting a good price (check out thewindowdog.com, it's an eye opener). If they would eventually sell to me at a "low" price then what would have happened if I agreed to the initial price? They'd have just taken me for thousands of dollars extra out of my pocket. The whole experience was a total turn off. Find someone who doesn't use high pressure, shady sales tactics.

Description of Work: They replaced 16 windows in my house. Job delayed due to snow storm but it was rescheduled at a convenient time for me. The job was completed in one and a half days The guys were great. When the biggest window was removed we noticed that the frame was rotted. Instead of just capping it and go they waited for my husband to go to the hardware store to get another piece of wood and replace the rotted wood before they finished the install. I love my new windows!!!.
