James-Michael Fay Corporation (JMF)

Used JMF corp for our main house drain which was clogged. Two guys came out they were professional and very knowledgeable and cleared the blockage. I highly recommend using JMF for any of your drain issues.

The inspector from James-Michael Fay Corporation failed to notice or failed to inform us that the curb trap for the home we ultimately purchased was under the front steps and therefore inaccessible and also was not ventilated as required by city code.

The inspector told us the sewer was in excellent condition. After a sewage leak two months later, a plumber we brought in for remediation discovered that our curb trap is located under out front steps where it can't be accessed and doesn't have any ventilation as required by city code. The inspector from James-Michael Fay either didn't bother to fully scope the sewer or didn't disclose these critical issues. Go with someone who knows what they're doing.

Very responsive and returned my call almost immediately. Service tech. was on time and quickly did the cleaning of the drain. He had to remove the trap to access the drain. We discovered a leak after he was finished. I reported the problem to the office. I got a quick call back from one of the company owners. I explained the problem and he was out the next morning and fixed the leak. We are very happy with the result.

Awesome!!! We just purchased the house and noticed that that the toilet in the Master Bedroom frequently clogged and required plunging. Long story shorter, The drain in the MB shower backed-up yesterday and I tried EVERYTHING to remediate the clog with no success. I received a recommendation to call JMF and left a message. I received a call-back within 45 minutes and scheduled an appointment for the next day, mid-morning. Chance from JMF showed up on time and diagnosed the problem immediately (I love it when that happens...especially when it involves plumbing). Chance fixed the clog, explained the causing issue and made recommendations to prevent follow-on reoccurrence. I won't hesitate to hire JMF again or recommend to friends, family or neighbors...well done JMF!!!.

In May of 2013, I had a pipe blockage, went on Angie's list, contacted James-Michael Fay for a great job. So on August 11 when the same thing happened, I called again, left a message, Mike called back in 2 hours came out the next morning, as promised, cleaned out the pipe for the same price,

After calling at 8pm, I received a prompt return call. Explained that my rental property in Philadelphia was having a emergency with a backed up drain. Jim went to property and fixed issues. Tenant was very happy, as was I. Service was prompt and price was right. Couldn't be happier, thank you!

Had a flood in the basement and spent all morning frantically trying to clean it up and trying to reach a plumber. The trouble happened on the most inconvenient day as snowstorm hit the area and many businesses were closed and those who were still working were too busy. The James-Michael Fay Corporation was recommended by another plumber. They were one of the few to answer my call today and I was ecstatic that they called back within 20 minutes with an ETA and arrived shortly after. The job was done within 10-15 minutes. Will absolutely keep their number handy for the future.

James-Michael Fay Corporation was recommended to us, by our "regular" plumber, Thomas Sullivan. Our tenants had a blocked drain on Saturday, with sewer water flowing into the basement. It was an emergency. Sullivan could not do the work, but he recommended JMF. I called JMF and they returned our call within an hour. They were able to do the job. They showed up on time and cleared the drain. The cost was ~$240. I have no complaints about the service, although I do have one recommendation for JMF. They only accept cash or checks on weekends. This can be problematic, especially if someone else is paying for the job. In my case, I was in Washington, DC and could not meet them at the door with cash or check. I needed to pay by credit card. It all worked out fine in the end (our tenants paid for the job), but under other circumstances, I might have had to go with another company -- one that would accept a credit card on a weekend.

The service went perfectly as expected.

They were friendly and straightforward when I called them on a Saturday, explaining that they would charge an additional $75 to come out the same day. Otherwise, if I could wait until Sunday, they would charge me the (very competitive) standard fee. They showed up right on time, were friendly and thorough with their work, and pointed out some potential issues for me to watch out for in the future. I will definitely use their services again.

I got them them through a referral but they were on a list I had gotten via Angie's List. They unclogged a rainwater drain that was forcing water into my basement. The problem had been continuous over several days of raining. I was at my wit's end. The workers were efficient, friendly and professional. They unclogged the drain and solved my problem. I would definitely use them again.

THE PLUMBERS WERE ON TIME AND VERY POLITE. THEY WORKED DILIGENTLY TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM BUT WE NEEDED MORE EXTENSIVE WORK DONE, SO THEY ONLY CHARGED US $95.00.
