Rely was absolutely amazing. We moved into a house a few months back and recently a sewer gas smell came around. Once we opened up the wall, we noticed a mess of DIY pipes. Rely came out and provided a very clear explanation of what's going on and how to resolve with new piping designs. They were quick to answer my many questions over email. They were smooth to provide a quote, schedule, and come by to do the work. Everyone was incredibly friendly and the price was very fair. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Rely set up an appointment window to visit my house and inspect a tankless water heater that was leaking. The tech arrived approx. 20 min after the end of the multi hour appointment window. The tech quickly diagnosed the leak and indicated that the unit would be covered under warranty from the manufacturer. The tech further indicated that an estimate for install of the new water heater would be sent via email. He was very nice and very knowledgable. After a few weeks with no estimate, I contacted Rely. The owner, Bob, answered the phone, and he was able to search his email and find the reply from the manufacturer indicating that the heater was indeed covered under warrenty. I asked for an estimate to install the new heater, and Bob quoted me approx. $4000 for the install (yes, four thousand dollars) - this install estimate included two techs for two full days, or about 32 billable hours. This seemed extremely high for me, especially after talking with the manufacturer. The manufacturer indicated that the install of the new water heater should take a two-man team a few hours maximum. I called around and received two additional estimates ranging from $400 to $800 - or about two to four hours of work for two techs. I ending up going with a $800 estimate, and the install of the new water heater took all of about three hours. All in all, I would say that Rely was slow to respond (both late to the original appointment and very late in delivering an estimate for the install), and farcically overpriced - anywhere from five to ten times more expensive than competitors in the area.

The technicians for Rely Mechanical are professional and do their work neatly, keeping your home clean. They are knowledgeable about water systems and work to ensure that your drinking water is safe.

We agreed on a time. After an hour had gone by, and no phone call, I called and cancelled the visit. Considering this was a first time visit, I would expect on time service, or at least a call to say I'm running late. I gave them a C because I'm not sure how the service would have gone.

Work was performed when they said it would be performed, well, and for the price they said it would be.

The first time we had a leak and they did that. The second time we called them for a water treatment but they charged us money and after they left we realized it was still broken. I felt like they were rude. They fixed one thing and didn't fix the other. They came eventually but i didn't feel like they were super attentive.

Company responded promptly to my call and was out the next day. Manager called day of service and asked if he could move up time. Worker was there within half hour of that call and had toilet unclogged in time for me to go to work. Made sure everything was running properly and bathroom was left clean before he left.

Rely Mechanical are a pleasure to work with. They have come to our house twice for emergencies. Once a kitchen sink leak turned out to be a minor thing. The technician fixed the leak and didn't charge us for coming out. And didn't make us feel like idiots for not realizing how simple it was to fix. They completely renovated our water system in our new house. We had extremely acidic water that was beginning to eat away at our pipes. They installed a neutralizer and water softener to fix this issue. They also tuned up the air conditioner at their spring rate even though we were into summer when we asked for this service. Most recently they came out late on a Friday to fix a leaking well tank. We were on our way out of town for the weekend when we found water pooling on the floor of our mechanical room. They were so nice on the phone, came out right away and got the tank replaced with an new and improved version. Our water pressure is better now too. Rely Mechanical are one of those rare service providers that you can count on. They have helped us in our new house and with urgent issues. Good to know they are on the job!

They came out for the repair. They were very prompt, neat and respectful of my home. The leak was immediately fixed and handled. Great experience.

They were an absolute disaster. They were unreliable. Even when they did show, they weren't on time. The estimate that they gave us was astronomical. The quote was $2000. We ended up going with another mechanic, who did ten times the job. The other mechanic actually did much more than what I had agreed to do at a quarter of the price. We ended up getting it done for $500. Rely Mechanical was truly awful. They were just outrageous. The guy was nasty. I have warned other people to stay away from them.

The experience I had with Rely Mechanical was great. I called Rely to have a new sump pump and battery backup installed at my house. They quoted me to have the sump pump and backup pump installed as well as deepen the existing sump to accept the new unit and plastic tub liner. The technicians arrived promptly at 8:30 am the day of the install. They had all they needed to do the job and started with the excavation of the sump. They were great guys and worked diligently to get the plastic tub liner installed first and then setup the pump and its backup unit. They ensured the tub was level and pump well aligned with the existing outflow tube when they positioned it in the sump. The senior technician was able to answer all my questions regarding its operation and backup function in case of pump failure or loss of power to the house. The owner stopped by as well mid-morning to check the progress which was a nice personal touch. They cleaned up the cellar of all loose debris and re-checked the functionality of the pump before leaving. It was a great experience with them.

Air conditioning system in one portion of the house was not cooling. RELY, whom we have used to totally replace all plumbing and HVAC in 2002, were contacted. They cameout within 24 hours, isolated the problem to the condenser unit, located a replacement and promptly exchanged the units. The owner came to personally ensure the replacement was proceeding properly. The office staff were courteous and professional and called to verify the system was working properly

We had had some problems with septic well ejector pump alarm, and Fenton came out on time, and did a very efficient review of the alram, in addition to cleaning up the well and making sure the ejector pump was working smoothly. Very happy with the service and will use again.

The owner of the company had seen my problem of access to the shut-off valve and suggested a solution. He sent Fenton to do the actual work. Fenton was on time and had the job done with no problems. There was not as much as a scratched tile by the time he was finished. This was class work.

It worked out just fine. The gentleman who came out was delightful and pleasure to have in the house.

Rely impressed me today with their dedication to customer service. They were responsive, providing requested service same day and even made the time when asked to also do the routine service maintenance while they were there. The technician has been with their company and to my home before and is knowledgable about the system, personable and patient in explaining the work being done and answering my questions. I felt very valued as a customer and will continue to use Rely for my water system and plumbing needs.

It was dreadful; it is the worst radiant heating system we ever had. We then bought a service contract with them. Something blew out in a storm. We called them and we were informed that we had to pay because that was not covered under the contract. We then found someone else to do the work. We certainly would never use them again nor would I recommend them anyone.

However, their basic maintenance is fine. If I ever have an emergency, they have come out pretty quickly. They are very responsive. It doesn't matter if it's weekends or evenings, they will come out; I appreciate that.

It went well. We haven't had the water softener touched since we bought it. We have used them over the years from a friend's recommendation. They are very prompt.

In short: professional, competent service for a fair priceOur A/C went on the blink. We'd refilled it with freon a year ago and suspected a leak. The unit is 8 years old. Also had just had a really unsatisfactory service call by the company who originally installed it. They claimed they could no longerdo freon refills due to an EPA restriction. They wanted to do a total replacement ($6000+ ) to get our A/C working again. Called Rely Mechanical based on a referral from a friend who does general contracting (commercial stuff). Call was on Friday. Tech came out Monday. He quickly gave us a quote for refilling the freon which was reasonable considering that he needed to use 5-6 lbs of R-22, whose price has skyrocketed due to the actual EPA restriction on its manufacture.Also gave us a quote for doing a leak check that was quite reasonable. He opened up the A/C, fixed a major problem with the original installation (backwards fan on low setting), and cleaned out a ton of dirt and debris in addition to checking everything for leaks (none others found) and refilling the coolant. He explained everything and gave us useful advice on the use and maintenance of the system. Today it's warm outside and our A/C is working fine. We'll be calling them back this fall to service our furnace and maybe our fireplace chimney.
