Description of Work: Our 1830 vintage home had a wood shakes roof covered with metal on the front and rear pitched portion and a flat roof on the rear addition. It had no underlayment or plywood, so that was required. I obtained three estimates though HomeAdvisor.com and decided to go with FANA Remodeling LLC owned by Marek. I had read reviews of the roofing companies and FANA had very good ones. Since our home is historic, we wanted to have a more historic looking roof and chose GAF Camelot I Welsh Gray after checking other installations listed on the GAF website. It has a slate-like resemblance. Marek was very professional and personable and you could tell that he knew his business. His estimate was almost half what another company had estimated for the same product. There were no cost overruns. The five member crew was able to complete the entire job in one and a half days, cleaning up afterward so that there was no debris left behind. We also had a new wrap-around gutter and downspout installed in the rear of the house. Marek has his own dumpster vehicle with wheels so that the driveway was not damaged. I would highly recommend FANA for your roofing needs.

As others have stated, he was very attentive, very helpful in explaining options, and timely in his responses. He provided a proposal to do a complete roof replacement which was very competitive. His team arrived on time the day of the install and the work was done exactly as planned. They completed the replacement in one day and am very satisfied with both Marek, his team, and the final work. Highly recommend.

We suspected our roof might be leaking and Marek came over right away (even during a huge rain storm). Marek was able to confirm the roof was leaking and scheduled the roof replacement within days. He provided excellent customer service - clear information on the process and choices, honest evaluation of needs, quick responses - with a helpful approach. The quality of the work was wonderful and they stopped the leaks! I highly recommend this company.

+ -1 moreFinally got my roof work done by Fana after waiting for more than an year after i got the quote. Marek gave a quote that no one else could match or even come closer. Even after waiting for an year, Marek still did my roof for the same price that he quoted more than an year ago. His crew did a great job and cleaned up the site without leaving any traces of debris. They even installed my gutter guards that i purchased myself for a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend Marek to anyone looking to get their roofing done.

+ -1 moreFana was great. Competitively priced and excellent preparation, timeliness and helpfulness. Did not hesitate to add some services that we asked for (adding additional insulation). Quality of workmanship and timeliness were excellent. Clean-up was great and we had a new roof and they also changed windows in our dormers. They suggested adding flashing in some areas. In short, the new roof is way better than the original one and it looks fantastic. Call me a Fana-tic!

All costs were discussed prior to starting and finished well within budget. His team was professional and fast - finished exactly as discussed. All the mess of rotting wood and nails was contained and hauled away - with no debris anywhere. They were diligent to protect my newly painted siding. The curb appeal of my home increased exponentially. Best of all, I can stand on my porch and not be rained on!! Quality work done professionally! + 0 moreCan't say enough positive things about Marek and FANA. Responsive. On-time. Friendly work crew. Quality work. Fair prices (I shopped around). I work full-time, have three kids and no time to think through the details of my roof or siding...thank goodness I found Marek because he did it all for me. He even brought samples to my office, found an electrician to install our lights and recommended and coordinated with our other contractor who was building our deck at the same time. I found Marek through positive reviews and he lived up to the hype.

+ -1 moreMarek came out the same day to give me a quote. He was the only one of the contractors I met that actually got on the roof and measured. He went through all of the options with me and gave me samples of all the materials so I could see exactly what I would be getting. Once I had all my quotes and decided to go with FANA, I signed the contract on Monday and had a new roof on Wednesday. The guys did a nice job on the roof and cleaned up thoroughly. I will definitely be recommending FANA to anyone looking to get a new roof because other companies do the same work and charge a lot more with worse customer service.
Description of Work: Installed new GAF Timberline shingles, ridge vent, chimney flashing, ice and water shield and replaced some rotted roof sheathing.

He inspected the roof and siding and thoroughly explained the issues and the best corrective action. Mark laid out the basic job and its cost. He presented me with options and their related costs. There was no pressure to "upgrade", that was up to me. I felt I was dealing with someone who knew all aspects of the business and not a "slick" salesman. His crew was on time, worked hard and were eager to please and make sure I was satisfied with each step of the process.Mark did not ask for a big down payment prior to starting any work. He said just pay him when the job is done and I was satisfied..Overall I am happy with FANA Remodeling and would use them again.

On top of that, the site cleanup was impressive. They spent many hours picking up all debris and used large magnets to find all roofing nails which was very important due to our pets. Marek was a joy to work with. He is knowledgeable, courteous and professional. His crew are exceedingly hard workers and finished a large roofing job in a single day. Overall I was very impressed and would definitely recommend this company.

No high pressure sales. Agreed I what I wanted to be done. Quoted in a few days. Scheduled work promptly. Work was completed in one day as promised. Great workers. Super clean up after job was completed. Quality work. Very happy with the whole experience.

At the end of the first day, we couldn’t see where the ventilation had been added. We contacted Marek by text and it was corrected the next day. The end result was beautiful. The workers cleaned up well and it was easy to contact Marek with questions and concerns. Overall a good experience for a reasonable price.

They cleaned up the property when they left. I will definitely use them again for other roofing projects. The bill was as quoted. We did need a few sheets of plywood replaced. They were addressed in the quote just in case. The roof was over 25 years old and I expected to have to replace way more than we did.

I had three other contractors give me estimates that day and Marek was the only one who actually got on the roof with a measuring tape and took measurements. Everyone else just eyeballed it and still I got the fairest price from Marek. He was on time and had everything in order. On the day of the project, his team was done with the job while I was away at work and it was completely cleaned up and done by the time I got home. I would highly recommend this company for any of your roofing needs. I could not be happier with the final product.
