Terrible customer service...actually NO customer service. We were fortunate enough to have a salesman who wasn't interested in quoting us for the new kitchen appliances that we picked out. This was after we paid them to send out their field guys to take measurements. Stay Away !!

Purchased an entire kitchen set. Jen Air Flush Mount refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and Sharp microwave drawer. It was all installed in MAY. Refrigerators had missing parts and now 6 month later the parts are still not in. All i get is "COVID is delaying things". No one calls from Reno's i have to call every 2 weeks to get another update - which is just the complete run around. Bottom line - take your money where they actually deliver on their customer service promise.

I purchased a high-end double wall oven, and the installer from Reno's could not get it to work. Reno's refuses to replace it, claiming that GE has to fix it since it's their warranty. GE cannot locate the part to fix it, and Reno's refuses to give me a new oven.

Whenever there is an issue with a major appliance the protocol of the manufacturer requires that they have the opportunity to repair it as stated in their warranty. When it was determined that there were parts required and that they were not readily available management at Reno's interceded and put pressure on GE to take back the defective wall oven. We were successful and had GE swap the ovens. We try our best to satisfy our customers. Unfortunately we must follow the manufacturer's protocols. None of the manufacturers want to take back equipment and insist on repairing them, thus putting the retail dealer in a tenuous position. The exchange was expedited. I understand the frustration our customer felt but we did our best to rectify the situation in a timely manner.

Excellent! I worked with Ari Sr. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. I purchased all Kitchen Aid appliances. The whole experience was a pleasure thanks to Ari's knowledge of the products and his great customer service. I also purchased a wine fridge. I was concerned about the noise of this appliance due to many review that I had seen on this. Ari helped me find a wine fridge that was one of the quietest out there! It is made my Fagor and it truly is so quiet. I don't hear it at all! I absolutely recommend Reno's to all my friends and family!

In summary, a pleasant sales experience but the delivery was unpleasant. The sales person we worked with was great overall. Neither pushy nor overly annoying. She just talks a lot and is responsive to our questions. The sales experience gets an "A-" in my book. Not perfect but I can't remember a lot of better buying experiences. Appliances were delivered as promised but towards the end of the 3h delivery window. The delivery guys, however, are the cause of the lousy grade. My wife was alone at home waiting for them and they made her feel like she was obligated to tip them, saying things like "Oh, I wouldn't be able to afford this" etc. That's not professional. No updates on the after sales service as the appliances aren't even installed.
Description of Work: Bought a Wolf range and Bosch dishwasher. They delivered it but no install.

THE DELIVERY PERSONNEL HAVE BEEN REPRIMANDED BASED ON THE CUSTOMER COMPLAINT. THEY ARE INSTRUCTED TO MAKE THE DELIVERY AND BE PROFESSIONAL. HERE IS A CASE OF THE LAST PERSON YOU SEE HAVING THE LASTING IMPACT ON THE SALES EXPERIENCE. ACCORDING TO THE CUSTOMER EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT UNTIL THE HOMEOWNER FELT THE DELIVERY PERSON WAS HINTING FOR A TIP. THE SALES PERSON WAS FINE, THE DELIVERY WAS WITHIN THE PROMISED WINDOW AND ALL MERCHANDISE WAS DELIVERED AND THE HOME LEFT IN PERFECT CONDITION. WE TRY TO DO THE BEST WE CAN BUT UNFORTUNATELY YOU CAN'T ALWAYS CONTROL EVERYTHING A PERSON MAY SAY.

Everything went smoothly, appliances delivered on time.
Description of Work: I dealt with George Hearns, I have never had better service. He was recommended by a kitchen guy who ended up refusing my kitchen due to my small budget, but George was great. He gave me many estimates for different appliances while I tried to figure out what would fit, size wise and budget wise.

Wow where to begin. Needed all new appliances for a kitchen remodel. Went to a few places and then back to Renos where we met salesperson Ari who was very accommodating. We got a range and a dishwasher for about 4,500 on a range and then went back to get the range hood. Salesperson Ari told us about the great deals he had on floor models and steered us in that direction. We picked a floor model, saved a bunch of money and then spent the next three months trying to get all the pieces. I dont have the energy to detail the problems but our installer came 3 times to install the hood and each time found another problem (wrong pieces, missing pieces, parts that looked right but didn't fit). Each time I called I got the apology and the assurance that this would be the last time. Then we would take the next step and find another issue. Suddenly Ari not so accommodating and impossible to reach by phone or email. Never in my life have I had such a terrible customer experience, after the 4th screw up they offered to come and install it for me - by that time I was ready to run it over in their parking lot so returned the whole thing. Bought another hood from a reputable company and had it installed in no time. Would NEVER buy anything from Renos again - before you buy google their name and you will see a lot of bad customer experiences (wish I did that - Angies didnt have enough on them at the time). Price was good but cost me WAY more in the end, both paying my installer for wasted time and the fact that the entire kitchen completion (permits, etc) was delayed based on their complete incompetence. At one point they sold me a wall vent and told me it was a roof vent. If you are looking for cheap, right place to go - as long as your customer service expectations are very low and you have lots of time to waste. AVOID
Description of Work: Purchase of a pro-sumer grade range, hood and refrigerator for a home remodel. Estimated cost for all pieces was about 10k

Customer had purchased a Floor Sample As-Is hood at a substantial discount. Unfortunately some of the parts that were shipped with the hood were for another model. Several attempts were made to resolve the issue and Free installation was offered as an accommodation. When the customer refused a full refund was given. Unfortunately in an attempt to save the customer considerable money on the hood it backfired. All efforts were made to satisfy the customer.

Not well - I will never recommend Reno's and have told everyone I know about my experience.
Description of Work: I purchased GE Profile Refrigerator, Dishwasher and Gas Range from Reno's as part of the remodeling of my kitchen. I price compared at PC Richards and I could have gotten the items for slightly less at PC Richards but I wanted to assure good customer service so I went with Rino's. My experience was fine until during the installation my plumber discovered damage to the top of the gas range that I had not seen when the appliances were delivered. So I called Reno's and requested that they replace the range. I will make this short - they refused! They told me that they would contact GE who would send someone out to repair whatever damage there was. I refused! I explained that I purchased a new range from them and that is what I expected, not a repaired range. Calls went back and forth for 2 weeks (between me and the salesperson, who was talking to his management) until I insisted that I get to meet face to face with the person in charge who was refusing to authorize the replacement. Only then did I get a real response and Paul (one of the owners) came to the house to look at the range. Within 90 seconds he agreed to order a new range. The experience turned me from a satisfied customer into a truly dissatisfied one. Reno's missed an opportunity to have a positive review here instead of a negative one. Remember Customer Service is King!

THE MANUFACTURERS HAVE CERTAIN PROCEDURES THAT WE HAVE TO FOLLOW REGARDING THEIR APPLIANCES. THEY WILL NOT EXCHANGE FOR CONCEALED COSMETIC DAMAGE BUT WILL REPLACE THE PARTS SINCE IT DOES NOT HAMPER PERFORMANCE. THE CUSTOMER REFUSED AND IS WAS DETERMINED THAT WE WOULD REPLACE THE RANGE OURSELVES WITHOUT GE APPROVAL AND DEAL WITH GE LATER. THEY CUSTOMER MAY NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPY THAT IT TOOK 2 WEEKS TO GET THE EXCHANGE COMPLETED HOWEVER WE DID OUR BEST AND ABSORBED THE ENTIRE COST OF THE RANGE.

On the recommendation of our contractor, we purchased all our kitchen appliances from Reno's. Initially, I was very happy with the prices and service. As we approach our three year mark, our Kitchen Aid stove has been repaired once, our Kitchen Aid dishwasher has been repaired once (now maybe twice), our GE refrigerator has been repaired once, and our Rohl faucets have been replace twice. All of these products were highly recommended by Reno's Additional costs--close to $1K. I wrote to Reno's and told them how disappointed that my batting average with the appliances they recommended was poor at best. There was never a response from them. I purchased our first house's appliances from Sears and paid for repair once in 8 years. In three years, I am now on my 5th and maybe 6th repair call.
Description of Work: Almost three years ago, we remodeled our kitchen and bought all appliances from them -- stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, kitchen faucets, and wine cooler.

My mother had shopped there before. We went to the store and went to our sales person (Ari) and asked about the price of the refrigerator (Jenn Air counter depth french door stainless steel) we were looking for. There was absolutely no pressure to buy. My husband also wanted the Weber Summit grill and so he gave us the price for that as well. After going to several places and even checking prices online, we found their prices were the best. When we decided on purchasing from there, we were able to just give our credit card number over the phone (at the time we were living out of state and were purchasing this for a new house we hadn't moved into yet). The delivery was great. Though the delivery guy was not supposed to hook up the water dispenser for the fridge, he helped me out anyway. I would never go anywhere else to buy appliances.

Reno's is fantastic! We were always dealt with professionally by a knowledgeable sales person (Ari Amador - kudos to him!)- when he wasn't available, we had more help from Ed. We were never given any attitude and just given professional and courteous service. That in and of itself is RARE in this industry. I checked prices everywhere and shopped everywhere because this was a huge purchase for us but in the end, I couldn't say I would trust any other store. When we needed specs to be sent to our cabinet dealer, it was done in a flash and without any complaint. If something were to go wrong on install, I know that I can count on Reno's to make it right. The other places make it seem like the buck is passed as soon as you put that payment down - but not at Reno's. They know that word of mouth is powerful and that sales come from people getting the info that they need to make decisions, not by tricks or pressuring people.
Description of Work: We got quotes in Sept 07 and again on different appliances in 3/08 before purchasing in 4/08. Install will be in 8/08 due to waiting for the contractor to get started

Purchased a Jennair range, and later was so happy I purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher. Paterson showroom has a very large range of product on display and salesman was knowledgeable, patient & pleasant to work with. On the Jennair range Reno's price was hundreds less than hardware stores. Was able to deliver next day (although I didn't need it that fast): Delivery cost was very reasonable, delivery was on time and neat. On the dishwasher their price was "only" competitive with everyone else's, but after my great experience with the range why buy anywhere else? Extremely satisfied & would recommend to anyone. By the way, if possible shop the Paterson store. First, it's located in the Paterson Urban Enterprise Zone, so state sales tax (7%) is halved (3.5%). Second, I heard from the (outside) installer that Paterson store is much better run than the Fairfield location.

If you buy household appliances in the upper end of the market (7-10 on a scale of ten), then Reno's is the ONLY appliance store to visit. Other stores try to please everyone and have a sample of appliances from manufacturers to suit all tastes. However, since that is physically impossible to display, they only have a few models in each line and can let you choose others from a catalog. However, Reno's is different: they only carry the higher end models but do so for ALL major manufactures. That allows consumers to actually see and compare the differences between models in a price line or among different manufactures. In addition, they provide extremely competitive prices, superb sales help, excellent customer service. In a word, to make life simple, save money, avoid surprises, and be happy: just go to Reno's Appliances. Two locations in Paterson and Fairview, NJ. they also ship to neighboring states.
Description of Work: Purchased all household appliances from Reno's: range, microwave, kitchen sink, sinkerator, two refrigerators, two ovens & roll iron.
