They never responded to the "deal" being set through Angie's list. I called them and they said the deal meant they wouldn't come right away. Then when they never came, I called them again and they did come. They diagnosed the problem as, "needs cleaning" and lots of repairs that wouldn't make sense and recommended the outside condenser just be completely replaced. When I asked what that would cost, they said about 4 thousand. I asked them to leave a diagnosis and an estimate before leaving. They did not do that and told me to call the office in a couple days. When I did that, they didn't deliver the diagnosis and estimate for a full week. The estimate was now 4,800. The diagnosis said nothing more than "not working" and the estimate had nothing more than the number on it. I started an AHS home warranty instead. They came and evaluated the problem as a failing condenser, which is covered. I had to pay for the replacement refrigerant. In all, I paid less than $550 and everything is working great. So yeah, don't use these guys for your HVAC needs. UPDATE: (response to letter shown below) Dear Mr. Matt Wilson, I think you've been misinformed to the exact nature of the service and communications I received from Advanced Professional Plumbing. Let me address your points from my first hand experience. 1. Angie's list stated that I should hear from the service provider for an appointment confirmation within two business days. I called the same day and was informed of this and I patiently waited. After not getting any contact, on the third day, my wife called and Sam came the same day. 2. I was never given two options. Over the phone, I was simply told that cleaning, tuning, and testing the repair of my unit would cost the same or more than replacing it entirely. So I could do that if I wanted to but the recommendation would be to replace the condenser unit. 3. Upon being given the recommendation, I told the technician to please write down the result of the diagnosis and an estimate before leaving. He agreed and said that he would leave them with my wife. He did not do that. You can state whether or not they are permitted but they should inform the owner of your policy at that time if that is the case. Two days subsequent to the service, I called to request the written documents. Then four days subsequent, I called again. Then six days, I called again. I received the documents at least seven days after the initial request and 1.5 weeks after the actual service. Please let me know if you would like evidence of this. I can understand not leaving estimates at the time of service, but if you are paid to do a diagnosis, I would expect you would leave a written document showing the results. Otherwise, give free estimates. 4. This is a completely ridiculous statement. I was told the repair would cost even more than repairing. I did tell the technician I was considering a warranty policy to see if it could be resolved under that. The warranty would not have covered a replacement unit, but did cover the faulty part. Your technician either never identified the faulty part or didn't inform about it. The mention of warranty was likely the reason there was no followup by the office management, which I can understand, but not the subsequent ignoring of my requests for completing the diagnosis that was paid for. Your reputation is entirely a result of your practices. I have done nothing more than relay my experience. Either your technician wasn't able to diagnose the problem and always recommends replacement or he was able to and recommended replacement to increase the job scope. In either case, the review is deserved.I currently have no intention of removing my review. I was very careful before doing so. I waited to see if the alternate diagnosis and repair was completed successfully, and it was. Thank you, {removed member name}

I was on a trip out of state when I received a call that there was no water in the house and the air conditioning stopped working. Matt at Advanced was able to service both requests within 24 hours. While I was a prime candidate for being ripped off with unnecessary parts and high labor charges, Advanced corrected the no water situation (with an explanation) in minutes with no new parts and fixed the air conditioning with a bit of Freon and some good advice. They were professional and thorough and extremely fair with their charges. Highly recommended.

Good, thorough job. Took time to explain what he found. Did not try to sell me on additional services or unnecessary work. Thorough, professional, clear explanation, cleaned up after himself.

These guys are fantastic and so incredibly professional. I just bought an investment 2 family home and things started going down hill for the AC and Hot water heaters. I called these guys and same day they came out and filled up the freon for the Central AC units. The hot water heaters for both units stopped working so I had them come back the next day and ultimately decided to have both heaters replaced and all the gas and water lines leading into the heating system redone. With a crew of 3 people they started at 9:30am and finished same day around 8:45pm. They where so clean and professional and highly recommend anyone needing service to use these guys. You can forget everyone else.

Very professional. Had to cancel appointment because of family emergency last minute. They understood and got me in the next available appointment. Would definitely recommend and use again.

I ordered 2 new taller toilets but one did not fit in my small space. They installed the other new toilet quickly and meticulously on the 3rd floor of my house. They removed the old toiled and cleaned behind themselves. It looks great and the best thing is that they did not charge me a restocking fee for the other toilet that did not work out.

Advanced professional was great. Very quick to respond and come out to assess the loose faucet that had been installed by another vendor. They allowed us to choose/order our own faucet (as opposed to installing a sub-par faucet) and came back to install it (without charging for the initial visit).

Experience was solid, there was a bit of miscommunication about the services and what could be provided for which I was partially to blame. I bought three of these deals for my hot water heater, a gas furnace, and a smaller room heater that's permanently installed in my wall. The hot water heater service went great, but the other two weren't covered under this promotion. The separate heater I understand (it was explained to me that it was more like a dryer/appliance than a water heater tune up. The gas furnace was a bit disappointing in retrospect. He said it didn't qualify which I was in no position to dispute having the other unit which also didn't qualify but reading over the description it's a gas furnace that I have, and gas furnace is in the description so it was a bit misleading perhaps. He mentioned it needing new glass to check the water level and other nuances that cost more which I understood but at face value I bought a gas furnace tune up and didn't get a tune up, which was not ideal. Overall, not the end of the world and would work with this contract again as long as I'm able to get the refund. sorry for the delay in asking for it now, I just moved into the home the week the worker came by and am currently fully renovating after hours, which is why this has taken so long.

I called late afternoon and someone showed within 10 minutes of hanging up....Sam came and he was polite and knowledgeable. He identified the problem and fixed my kitchen sink!! I would definitely call again!!

The company states I am not in the service are for them complete the work.

He called and confirmed address and time of appt. Arrival was punctual. He went into basement and checked the unit inside, the thermostat and the outside unit. He assured me everthing was ok. There wasn't any extra out of pocket expense.

They were fine to work with. They showed up when they said they would. The fixed the toilet properly when other plumbers could not fix it. I highly recommend them!

We purchased the deal and I put down the dates and times that would work for the service. They never called and I was very disappointed. I will be contacting Angie’s List for a refund.

After my initial call, I was provided with service on the date and time they specified (which was day after July 4 holiday, I called on July 3). I have had serious issues in the past with companies not bothering to show up. They were there on time, inspected unit, and gave me accurate pricing. I was told the part would be purchased on Monday and unit was repaired promptly on that day.

The A/C worked for about 2 days before the fan stopped working again. I called another company who sent a van that had fan motors stocked and they changed it and now it's working fine. They laughed at the fact these guys wanted $725 to clean the coils. **BEWARE**

They were horrible. They were not professional, unreliable, and very deceptive.

Ray inspected the thermostat, vent, the main unit and switchbox in the attic and the compressor unit outside of the house. He assured us that everything is in good working condition. He made us feel that Advanced Professional Plumbing , Heating & Cooling is reliable and trustworthy. Ray gave us a refrigerator magnet which will be very handy in the event that we will need their services in the future.

It went very well. I have used them several times. They are always on time. The tech (I had Mark) was very skillful with the job details, and very honest. He explained every step of the job thoroughly to me for my comfort, and I would recommend this company with very high regards.
