Called them on Friday and told them my a/c was making a burning smell. He said they would send someone out on Saturday between 9 and 11. At 1030 I called them to ask where they were. The said more like 11 to 1130. I then got a phone call saying all their technicians were busy and they wanted to reschedule to Sunday between 11 and 1. I said OK. On Sunday at 1250 I called them and asked if they were coming. The guy on the phone said he or someone else would call me back in 10 minutes. No one called. I called back a 1/2 hour later and got their answering machine. They never showed up. The totally blew me off. I will never call them again.

Plumber was able to locate and fix the problem just fine. It took 2 days. One to locate the problem and another to get the parts required and to fix it. Problem came when it came to repairing the walls and ceiling that were damaged (both from locating the leak and the water damage itself). They said someone would contact me to fix them. No one ever did. Even after I called 4 times over the course of a week. Operator said someone would get back to me. No one ever did. I also requested an itemized receipt via email and asked every time I called. Never received them either. hardly Advanced, not Professional

We called on Sunday morning. We spoke with someone and they said they had availability for someone to come by between 12-2. They called to warn us if it was raining too hard that they would not be able to run the tests on the compressor. It had stopped raining where we lived. We tried to call them 4 times and left a message. No one answered, no one called us back and no one showed up. We will never call Advanced professional plumbing heating and cooling again.

We had the guys over to do the quote. They spent about an hour looking at the house. They recommended a further chimney inspection, which costed me $500. I followed up with them many times over the last two months, and they refuse to provide me with the quote! They have not given me a reason, and they will not call me to explain what is going on. This is highly unprofessional. They wasted my time.

Bad. They showed up the first guy was knowledgeable but the second guy wasn't. the assessment was never sent so I will be calling angies list for a refund.

This is more information about my last review of this company. I had called Angie's List and they were wonderful to me. The woman I spoke with told me to call Angie's List back and speak with the complaint department if Allied Plumbing and Cooling didn't makes things right with me by last Wednesday June 22, 2016. I really liked Mark so I didn't call Angie's List on Wednesday but gave Mark, the owner I believe, more time to contact me. My husband wrote an email to the company about all the problems I listed and his secretary I believe responded with a whole bunch of lies. She said there's a contract that says that this company can leave holes in your house after doing plumbing jobs. We never saw a contract like that so I told her to send it to me and now it's Sunday, June 26, 2016 and I still have not received a contract from this company saying they can leave holes in your home after doing plumbing work. I never would have used this company if I saw a contract like that. My husband told the secretary to send him that contract and she never did. Instead, she wrote my husband back an email with a lot of lies. She said Mark had been over many times after the electrician broke our central A/C unit. Mark came over ONE time and pressed bunch of buttons on the control panel. Then she emailed my husband that I refused to come out of the bedroom when he came over that one time. First of all it's none of Mark's business where I am and I was in the bedroom because I was sick. My Dad's contractor came over and told my husband that the central A/C system should have been turned off before the electrician turned the power off to our house and then back on again to put in a new circuit breaker system. I paid the electrician $1,000 by check and I wish I had used a credit card because I would have already disputed the $1,000 with the credit card company. Then the secretary says that she wanted to see a contract that my father's contractor gave to my Dad for fixing the broken central A/C unit. My Dad has been friends with his contractor for about 20 years so there is no contract. My Dad just paid him and I don't know how much. Then the secretary went on and said I should call Mark's cell phone and talk to him. I decided not to call him because all he's going to do is lie and say the electrician couldn't have broken the central A/C unit when he turned the power off and on again because it's run by batteries and he's going to lie to me again and say he came over to my house a lot of times after the electrician left and broke our central A/C system and he was only over ONCE and that's a big waste of my time listening to a lying plumber, heating and cooling company. I will be calling Angie's List tomorrow morning June 27, 2016 and speak with the complaint department which has a lot of lawyers in it which I didn't know and that is a wonderful thing about Angie's List. Mark is very busy now probably in part because of the rave reviews I've given in the past about his company and I never mentioned the holes that were left in my house and not fixed by this company and I should have. People should know if you use this company for a plumbing job they will make holes in your house and I guess Mark thought I should fix them. That's ridiculous. Thank you Angie's List for all your help and I'll be calling your complaint department tomorrow morning. I had found Mark and his company on Angie's List and used him for many, many jobs and I also had about 5-6 more things I wanted him to do, but I can't use this company anymore. My central A/C unit totally shut down a few days later and I called Angie's List in a panic about 6 pm and they were wonderful and gave me the name of a new company to use called P.A.C. which I love. Chris from P.A.C. came right over and found out that the cellonoid in the compressor in the backyard was fried as he put it. Chris, thank goodness had the part in his truck and put a new one in and now our central A/C unit is working perfectly. Thank you Angie's List and P.A.C.
Description of Work: The company sent over an electrician to put a new circuit breaker in our basement. He turned the power off to our home and when he was done and put the power back on our central A/C system didn't work right anymore. Our central A/C system had been working perfectly for 6-7 years so it's not a coincidence that something happened to it when the power to our home was turned off and on again. As a matter of fact I had Mark, the owner of the company I believe, come over every year to check the central A/C unit to make sure it would be working very good during the summer and I always paid him in full. I called the owner of the company, Mark, and he did come over one time after the electrician left and push a bunch of buttons on our central A/C control panel and it still wasn't working. So I called his cell phone and he told me because he had come over so many times for free which is a lie because he only came over one time after the electrician left, and he would have to charge me for service call. I was really shocked because he's very busy now, probably because of the rave reviews I had always left for him and his company on Angie's List.

Description of Work: i explained the issue that I was experiencing (water impacting the motor on my water heater and that the water could come from the pc pipe connected to the water heater). Kevin, the plumber, and I went on a journey to the apartment above me and the apartment 2 floors above me to identify the problem and resolve the issue. After that, we went back downstairs and corrected my ultimate issue (not receiving hot water because water came into the motor, which is there to exhaust carbon monoxide, and stopped my water from heating up).

A gentleman called and said it would cost 975. I said nice dollars and seventy five cents? NO. $975!! How could such a small job cost so much? Well, the technicians are VERY expensive. Why isn't he calling them plumbers? There is a little something called the internet..and I found sites that gave you a range of prices for various kinds of jobs: [*** Link removed ***] In the New York area, the average price for that service is between $120 and $360 with a highest end price of $450. Advanced Professional Plumbing took the high price and doubled it. If they didn't want to do the work they should have said so. I would respect that, rather than give me an unfathomably high price.
Description of Work: A technician (not a plumber?) was sent to "estimate" the work to be done: running a gas line 20 feet to attach a new Weber Grill to an existing line. The technician told my husband that it should be about $500 to $550, but that someone from the office would call to give an exact price quote.

my a/c was not working, this company had a special for $50 to come out and diagnose the problem. first guy came out and had no clue what he was doing. they had to send another guy out the next day and he said it was a bad contactor. they wanted $350 to replace it so i declined and had someone else do it. (the part only costs $25) after it was replaced the a/c still did not work. I then called back advanced to tell them that their technician did not diagnose the problem correctly. advanced told me since someone else put in the part they can not do anything more for me. bottom line is this company sends out people that have no clue what they are doing, the first guy that came here showed up in an old unmarked van and with no tools. not even a shirt with the company name. look elsewhere for an HVAC company, save your money. do not use this company

Willing to give a second chance I called back and Jennifer once again apologized, said they had some "phone problems" on Friday and that she would send a repair person out that afternoon. Yet again, a no show! Wouldn't trust a repair done by this company even if it was done for free. First Tim ever this has happened to me with a company off Angie's List. .

I made an appointment with Jennifer over the phone who seemed nice and efficiently set me up with an appointment for the next Saturday. Overall, I had a great experience. During the initial phone contact, the customer service person was very helpful and patient with all my questions. She also was honest and admitted when she wasn't sure of something and needed to check..something I really appreciate. I was given a 2-hour window for the servicemen to arrive and received a phone call from the office during the window to let me know when i could expect him. Adam, the servicemen who was onsite, did a thorough and professional job. He was knowledgable, courteous, and didn't find problems where there were none to upsell me like I have experienced with so many other places. I would definitely request him again.

It was a little shaky at first. I filled out their electronic card on your site where you pay $75 and they will get a man to you. You put in an appointment with a plumber and they will get with you in a few days. Then I did not hear from then for like a week. I called them and they said the information was incorrect, they said they could get somewhere there for 2 days. It was almost the end of they day and he had not come so I called them and they said then entered my phone number wrong and the guy had been calling me. I said that cant be, I sat around all day waiting on him. He came by, saw the problem, it was simple fix. One of the lines to the water heater I had in the basement had the plastic where the squeeze connect connections had come loose so he put that section of hose off and put a new one in. It took less then 30 minutes. It costs $200 but they took the $75 off like they said. I had no problem with the guy that came, just a problem with the clerical. The price is a little steep for replacing a 6 inch section of plastic piping and two connects. The going rate for plumbers seem to be about $80 to come out so I think the price was about right. He did the job good. Once they straightened the stuff out they got there on time. The guy came in 40 minutes once they got the number correct. He showed up, took a look at the problem, fixed and he got right on it,. fixed it and everything was cool. The only problem was the location of it.

They then proceeded to try to upsell their services, including telling us they would need to completely replace the pipe that ran to sewer line. We were told they would need to excavate our entire front yard and have a giant oak tree removed. They were estimating between $10-12K. They used every scare tactic under the sun including saying our clay pipes were cracked, broken, and misaligned and we were leaking sewage and waste into our front yard creating an environmental hazard. Also, our front steps were in danger of collapsing. When they left we called a plumber who was recommended by a friend and trusted and he came he went in with the camera snake saw that they had hardly cleared the pipe. He went in with his snake and completely cleared the blockage all the way to the sewer line then showed us that our pipes were not cracked or broken and were actually in good condition once they were properly cleared. Ivan from ALL CLEAR PLUMBING was the man who came to the rescue and then when all was said and done and we had told him what had happened with Advanced Professionals, he told us that the price we were charged was completely inflated and it should have been between $600-$700 not nearly $1000, that's highway robbery!!! I will call IVAN from ALL CLEAR PLUMBING for all my future plumbing needs and am contacting the league of Master Plumbers in regards to Advanced Professional.
Description of Work: We had some water coming in the basement from the stand pipe. We found Advanced Professional Plumbing on Angie's List and they were able to come out and see what was going on in a couple hours. When they arrived they looked at the situation using a snake with a camera to inspect the pipe. They saw some roots and blockage and did the minimal amount to clear the blockage. That's where the horror story begins.

We have reviewed our records; along with the video feed from the snake which shows we did clear the line; excluding cutting out the roots to minimize the risk of damage or breakage to the clay pipes. It is our policy, based on experience, when dealing with clay pipes with roots every 2' to recommend a new line, as snaking is only a temporary solution. We provided an estimate for a permanent solution as per your request. For this particular job; the pricing was based on same day emergency service. They came out to give an estimate on replacing an A/C compressor and adding a new furnace for forced hot air heating to the existing duct work. First there was a bit of a language barrier with the woman on the phone in giving my name or address (every time I called). They did arrive on time for the estimate but took no notes and then that was the last of them. A week later after not hearing anything I called to ask for the estimate. The woman did look into it and called me back right away saying the serviceman hadn't completed the form yet and she would call him right away to do that. That was the last I ever heard from them. I never bothered following up yet again, as I figured if I had to hound them for just an estimate I couldn't imagine working with them on an actual job. So in the end maybe their work is good, but who knows, as I couldn't get past the simple step of getting even an estimate from the company.
