This was our worst moving nightmare. We found them on the internet and their website claimed to BBB accredited. Silly us, we never double checked the information with BBB. Lesson learned. They are not only NOT BBB accredited but there are lots of complaints against them with BBB. We hired them for about a 100 mile move. "Matt" gave us an estimate by email once we gave them a detailed list of everything we wanted them to move. He was all sweet and courteous. Day before the move, he suddenly called and said he "forgot" to ask for the deposit which was $250. We still didn't find this unusual and so gave them our credit card number. Day of the move, three movers showed up. Only one spoke english. They took forever to load the truck and insisted on shrink wrapping everything. When they got to our apartment in Springfield, the first thing the "leader" did was take out his paperwork and "calculate" how much the move was going to be. He then presented us an amount 3 times the estimate. We were told that we either pay up or they are driving out with our stuff. He even told us that NJ has no laws to protect us and they do this all the time. We couldn't believe what was happening to us. We called Matt who refused to help and feigned ignorance all of a sudden. He then claimed we could just pay what they were asking and then we could call back on Monday and talk to Alex the owner who is a very "reasonable" person. We finally "settled" on a number that was more than double the original estimate. We paid by credit card. Over the next few months we tried to resolve this issue with A Atlantic through phone calls, emails and even snail mails. Through google search we later found many many similar complaints by other customers. Finally we felt we had no choice but to take them to small claims court. We did and we won judgment against them but were never able to get our money back. It's apparent these people have been through this many times before. They know how to work the system. So beware of this company. They frequently change the name of their company using combination of the words "Atlantic" and "Plus Moving" and are based in Passaic NJ.

They stole several boxes that they packed and we called and complained and they said it was our fault. Very unprofessional and a police complaint was filed on them and they were not responsive at all.
Description of Work: They packed everything up and moved everything and stole.
