C K G Contractors Inc. "It's right or it's free"

I noticed a roof issue and so I called CKG. Chris came by right away and got me a reasonable quote within a day. Within a week a crew came and replaced an entire section of roof plus a skylight in a day. Excellent work, also very clean and respectful of property. Chris came back at the end of the day to do the final inspection. Everything went great and I will continue to use CKG for my upcoming roofing needs.

CKG did an excellent roof replacement on our ranch. Right from the beginning, there was no pressure, no upselling, just a real estimate in a short visit. The work started and finished on time with no problems. It even included some custom works on one of our roofs for a safety harness anchor which they handled perfectly. Materials used were top notch with synthetic underlayments. Their cleanup made our yard cleaner than when they started. They don't even post their signs in your yard during (and long after) like most contractors do. Their work crew hardly ever took breaks. They were non-stop, hard working professionals. Managers showed up each of the two days, just to ensure all was going smoothly, and it was. I highly recommend them for no-nonsense, professional work and easy communications. If I could give them higher than A rating, I would!

CKG has been excellent. We had a roof and new skylight installed. There were some issues with the subcontractor on the skylight but it was rectified in the end and the job looked great. We also had a nail pop in the roof, then a second which is unheard of. However at each call the owner Chris was there the next AM first thing. His guys fixed the issue immediately. He sent his crew over a month later after arranging our times and the guys repaired the damage from the leak. He was always responsive and I would use them again. Despite a couple setbacks, his ability to rectify the situation and promptness is what makes me trust them to do the job again. Mark his foreman was also excellent to deal with and very helpful.

Great company, great price, great service.I wanted to take the time to write a review for the above and beyond service provided to us by C K G Contractors Inc. My wife and I recently purchased our home and knew the roof would need some repairs. Chris took the time to explain what work would need to be done and how the task would be accomplished. Chris was laid back and answered all of our questions. He has done all repairs in a short time. We are pleased with the results and have highly recommended this company to friends who also have roofing needs.

Really liked working with these guys. Mark answered all my questions. He was very direct and I felt he cared about the product he as selling. He made a few very good recommendations and the company got me as a customer. The job took about 1.25 days. The roof looks great. They cleaned up about 99.99% of the debris. There was 10 or so nails that I found in my driveway and grass. Also, my attic was a bit dirty afterwards but no big deal. They also offer a 25 company warranty which was another selling point.

The work was completed in 2 days, and it turned out beautiful. My wife and I are very pleased and would hire them again. They came recommended from a colleague at work, who has also used them many times. Excellent recommendation...!

CKG convinced us that the skylights, as well as the section of roof they were installed in, needed to be replaced. This involved considerably more expense than previous fixes but we decided to go ahead. The bill turned out to be exactly what CKG estimated, they showed up promptly on the promised date and did the very professional looking job in one day. Since then there have been a number of rain storms, some quite heavy, and no sign whatever of a leak.

Chris came out to evaluate the roof. He was clearly knowledgeable and more trustworthy than other contractors I have encountered. He provided a detailed estimate with digital photos detailing the problems. They were able to schedule us quickly, the work was done professionally, they took the extra step of cleaning out the gutters while they were on the roof, and the two-man crew did a great job of cleaning up afterward.

It went great, the owner himself came out and did the work, he was very friendly and detailed, explained everything and cleaned up afterwards. I would definitely use them again.

My review is for the estimate that I received and for the professionalism and punctuality. Mark Ford arrived on time and was very courteous. He gave me an estimate for Harvey Classic windows and answered all of my questions. The estimate was good, compared with other estimates that I had received, but I decided to go with another company who had experience installing the Sunrise windows that I wanted.

Nice job of cleaning roof but all the debris from gutters was blown into leaders and all over the property, underground drain lines are now filled with moss and blocked, none of the leaders were flushed with water, I need to get roto rooter or someone to snake the lines, just plain messy. they should have cleaned and taken away the debris, will not use again

Easy from start to finish. Quick estimating, job was done in one day, matched my existing roof shingles. Cleaned up nicely before leaving. Looks great.

Chris was very great to work with. He gave me a thorough explanation of what the problems are and what needs to be done. Everything was done as listed on the signed contract. He had about 4 men come early in the morning. They were very professional and cleaned all the debris at the end of the day.

I think the guys name was Chris. This is the second time they did work for us. It's generally about a $130 or in that ballpark.

Excellent. I needed to wait until some of the snow melted, but picking my shingle and getting it installed was a breeze. I used an Angie's List deal along with paying extra since I had a lot more roof than anticipated. Mark was easy to deal with, dropped off samples for me, and even made sure that all the nails were gone upon final walkthrough. They also did all the permit work and anything else related including looking for the specific shingle I wanted and finding it locally (to save money). I would use CKG Contractors again and I will when my porch canopy and siding needs to be updated.

Chris was great. He was able to fit me in quickly as I needed because I am in the process of inspection review with buyer of my home and the leak showed up in the house inspection. He was prompt, diagnosed the cause and was able to fix it on the spot. Reasonable rates and a really nice person.

Chris made several helpful repairs and suggestions. Very professional and courteous. I highly recommend Chris and his company. Andrew.

Scheduled appt for estimate of front porch 9/15/16, rescheduled by CKG to 9/19/16 due to their prior commitments. Met with Mark 9/19, discussed work needed, he took pictures, provided ideas to remodel porch, promised to email estimate w/i few days. Called 9/27, spoke with Michelle and advised I never recd an estimate. She apologized, told me Mark would be in later, she will have him email my estimate. Fast forward to 10/19/16. By this time it's obvious CKG did not want the job, but did not have the decency or take the responsibility to reach out and let me know their position. If they could not do the job or want it, why waste both my time and theirs by providing ideas of what could be done. Mark provided several ideas, one being building a wood porch instead of concrete. He also suggested building an inside bench. My point is they sounded as if they cared but I now know they didn't. I NEVER heard back from CKG. All communication was my reaching out and not once did I receive a return call. I spoke with Michelle again on 10/19 to make sure I post my comments to the correct company’s file. She let me know she was told they didn't do masonry work and intended to find someone who could help me. I don't hold her responsible. It was the contractor’s responsibility to reach out to me. This experience was a complete waste of my time. I don't want this to happen to anyone else. If you use CKG for estimates, I would suggest if you don't hear from them w/i two days run, don't walk, to another contractor. Too late to apologize. Customer service and responsibility must be a priority. CKG failed. My message to CKG is be up front with customers. If you can't do the work , say so. They had my phone # and email address. No excuses to reach me. I was in the process of getting other estimates and was interested in their input. Don't allow CKG to delay your process like they did to me.
