AMERICAN BEECHWOOD TREE SERVICE

Hired them to remove a tree, it was supposed to come down Memorial Day week. Chris worked with us, he kept giving us dates and changing dates. Ultimately 4th of July week he told us it couldn’t come down because they couldn’t use our neighbor’s driveway, after wasting almost two months of our time. We had to go with a more professional tree company that could remove the tree from our property. I would skip going with American Beachwood.

It went well. They are very reasonable. They brought a crane, truck and 3 cars with 6 people. You have to call them multiple times. They give you an estimate start date because they are local company. They did call reschedule. If you can tolerate flexible of their schedule then you can use them. After cleaning up the stump grinding there were 2 more roots that needed attention, I called them to take care of the roots and never heard back from them. If they would have come back I would have given them an A rating. I recommended them to my neighbor.

There was such a high demand for tree work after Hurricane Sandy that it was challenging to find available tree service providers. American Beechwood was recommended by my parents' neighbors and they came promptly to give an estimate. As my parents are in their late 80's I asked that the service speak to both them and me to make arrangements. Theirs was the lowest (by 30%) of 3 bids that I got. The representatives (I think they were the owners) were very pleasant on the phone and said they had the necessary equipment to complete the job which was complicated because of the size and location of the fallen tree. My only issue was that there was some delay in their returning some of my calls. When they gave me the date they were coming, they arrived on time even though it was snowing hard. My parents are very pleased with the work, although I have not seen it yet. My parents said they would use their services again. The whole crew was pleasant, efficient and hard working. This was my first Angie's List experience and I was very pleased. My parents insurance company suggested that i use Angie's List to identify qualified tree service companies and this is one of two that I contacted.

They arrived on time with their equipment and they are fast and efficient. And the owner came to supervise the work. I am very happy with their work. They clean up well after themselves. They are much cheaper than the other estimate that I got from another tree service company. It is probably because they owned the equipments that they are using. No complaints from me. They do good work and the owner is very affable yet professional. Would have no problem recommending them to my friends and neighbors. They did what we agreed on plus a little bit more.

This is the second time I have used American Beechwood. I also recommended them to my boss who has also used them twice. I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to have trees taken out or trimmed. They are highly professional, experienced, a pleasure to deal with and their prices are extremely reasonable. When I had first used them, I received multiple quotes. Some companies were quoting $1500 to remove a single tree. American Beechwood comes in around $700 for the same tree and that includes grinding the stump. Call them to get your own quote, but that's about right considering both jobs I've had done. If you look at the scope of the job I noted above and the $2200 price tag, its quite a deal. Anyway, for this job they arrived on top, got to work immediately, they worked quickly, they kept things clean, etc. The equipment they have is impressive and well maintained. After two experiences with them, I continue to be completely delighted and I will continue to use them. Our property was overgrown with too many trees, several of which were diseased. We couldn't use the deck without cleaning it first as it was always full of stuff that had fallen off of the trees, etc. Following the job, our house and property are brighter, cleaner, easier to maintain, etc. See photos.
