+ -1 morePurchase was easy and friendly. Salesperson was helpful. 1st installation was painful. One of the two installers had a family emergency and was on the phone most of the time. As a consequence, they did not finish until 9:30 pm that night. However, they did a very good job and actually pointed out a flaw in one of the carpets. The next day, when I called to report the flaw, they sent someone out within a couple of days to take photographs. they called back a few days after that and made an apointment to replace the defective carpet with no prodding on my part. The second set of installers were actually a little early, replaced the carpet in a couple of hours and were very professional. I am very satisfied with the result and chalk up the problems to bad luck. I would definitely use them again.

+ 0 moreThey arrived on time, took the rugs, and redelivered clean rugs on time. They placed the rugs and moved my furniture as I instructed. One of the rugs had the fringes removed and was re-bound at the edges. It all came out nicer than we thought it could be.
Description of Work: Pick up, clean and re-deliver 2 8x 10' oriental rugs to a different address. Also removed fringe and rebound border of 1.

+ -1 moreI get the impression the main focus for these guys is really high-end area rugs, and/or specialty services. But for a basic wall-to-wall cleaning on a mid-range quality carpet, we did not use them because their price quote was literally double compared to several other recommended carpet cleaners in the area.
Description of Work: I'm only writing this based on a few phone calls and an estimate, as we did not end up hiring G Fried. On the positive side, I will say the woman who handles customer service is very professional, courteous, and prompt in returning messages. However, when we scheduled an estimate, the price they gave us was outrageous compared to all the other estimates we received. We were moving into a house in Bergen County that had 4 bedrooms, a hallway, and a set of stairs with the same wall-to-wall carpet that needed to be cleaned in each room. It was in fair shape: In a 2 or 3 areas there were very small stains, but for the most part it was just dirty. G Fried would've used upright cleaning machines and wanted to charge us somewhere around $750, and then recommended we also have the carpet stretched and re-stapled in most of the rooms, at an additional charge of several hundred more dollars. While I think their recommendation would've made sense for newer, nicer carpet, it didn't for us, and we found another company to do the cleaning at less than half the price with a better, stronger truck-based hose system. We were pleased with the results from the more reasonably-priced vendor, whose estimate was the same as the final cost.

+ 1 moreThey came in to check the room and what I wanted them to clean. They put down mats to protect my floors. They used the equipment to pre-treat and deep clean clean a sofa, love seat and chair. They took the time to make sure they did an effective cleaning job. They set up the pillows so that they would dry quickly. They told me approximately the length of time it would take for all parts of the furniture to dry. They removed all of the floor protection and there wasn't any damage to my floors
Description of Work: The provider cleaned my sofa. My original request included cleaning a rug. When they looked at the rug, the told me that the rug contained hemp and that cleaning with water would damage it. They told me the questions that I needed to ask when contacting a vendor to clean the rug.

+ -1 moreIt went great. We have kind of a funky shaped hallway. The installers took great pains to work with me to make sure they did the job right. The even noticed that one wall had a very slight curve and made certain the custom runner curved along with it. These guys do it right.
Description of Work: We redid our stairs and 2nd floor hall removing paint, sanding and staining. They helped us pick out a beautiful transitional carpet and then came to install it.
