Almost Perfect Landscaping

For this particular project I contacted eight landscaping services. Of those eight, four of them never returned my call and two failed to show up for an estimate as they had promised. Frank was by far the most responsive - making and receiving calls on weekends, arriving promptly for the estimate and returning to take a look the day before work was to begin. Frank's foreman, Claudio and his crew were very professional and completed the work as described in the proposal. I will definitely contact this company for future landscaping projects.

I sent a message to them on Sunday giving an idea of what I wanted done and asking for an estimate. Surprisingly, Frank called me that same day and left me a message to call him Monday to discuss the job. We spoke on Monday and based on the pics I sent and the description I gave Frank was able to come back with an estimate which was fair and agreed upon. I needed the job done sooner rather then later and Frank said he would put me on the list but it may be a couple of weeks as they were busy. Today being Wednesday, not even 48 hours since we spoke, I come home and park my car in the driveway and to my amazement the job was done and done beautifully! My neighbor told me the crew from APL spent most of the day working on my job and the results are beyond expectation. Frank came through with flying colors- highly recommend- this is a class operation who do amazing work

Frank was one of the best contractors we have ever hired. Frank re-did the landscaping in the front of our house and it looks fantastic. We now have curb appeal that we never thought was possible! Frank was extremely responsive right from the start and answered all of our questions quickly, which is very important to us. He initially visited our property to see what work we wanted done. We agreed on a budget and then met at the garden center to pick out our plants together. We relied on Frank's expert knowledge and chose plants that he recommended and ones we liked. Everything was planted the same day and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. All of our neighbors have commented on our beautiful landscaping. I would recommend Frank and his services to anyone looking for professional landscaping at an affordable rate.

Frank was very responsive. Whole deal from first contact to planting took less than a week. His crew showed and did planting in about four hours. No fuss, no muss.

Frank and his team at Almost Perfect did a great job in remaking my backyard. They removed a couple of dying trees and an incredibly overgrown bush, flattened the bumpy terrain, and planted 19 new trees. Frank is incredibly accessible, available by cell phone at all times, and bends over backwards to provide good customer service. We're so happy with the new look of our yard that we're already planning our next landscape project with Almost Perfect.

Frank, the owner, was very responsive and helpful in working with me to create a privacy hedge. He quickly visited my property and made excellent, well thought out suggestions. His team arrived within one day of finalizing the contract and provided what I would consider to be days' worth of work in just one day. The work was excellent, the results exactly what we were hoping for and the scheduling prompt. He has continued to be helpful and very responsive each time I have had a question about tree maintenance. Pricing was very reasonable. I would highly recommend his service.

.We have used Almost Perfect Landscaping for our initial total landscaping of our Hackensack home as well as lawn maintenance and snow removal on our home and two additional properties. They are reliable and have done a great job for us.

In general, they accomplish the job, as most landscapers do. However, Frank is extremely unprofessional - the first time he had his crew mow my lawn, they planted flowers I didn't ask for (and charged me for it). I figured I would let this one slide as it was not a big deal, and I planned to plant flowers anyway (though not ones that were so unattractive). It was at this point he started begging me to write positive reviews about him. I decided to wait to see how he performed over time. What I later found was that I was still being charged for lawn mowing in November and December, and when I questioned Frank he mentioned this is "part of the service". If anyone remembers this winter, it started snowing in late November 2014, so I'm not quite sure what they were mowing that month, let alone December; the whole idea seems a bit of a stretch, and if it was part of the service, it was odd to me they didn't try it the year before. It was also odd that they didn't put a note in my mailbox indicating they were performing this "service" like they did at normal times when the lawn was cut - maybe because then i'd be more likely to notice? Frank was "nice enough" to slightly lower my bill to compensate, but at no point did the words "I'm sorry" or "I'm wrong" ever enter the conversation. Instead he wanted to spend my precious time on the phone justifying his ripoff service, which as far as I can tell, is to attempt to gouge people on automated billing, hoping they won't scrutinize the credit card bills closely enough to notice that he's still mowing their lawn in December. (good luck if you wanted to check the invoices, they arrive sporadically via email and never via physical mail, so you get random charges every month.) I'd classify this as unprofessional at best, if not an outright scam.

As far as I?m concerned, Almost Perfect Landscaping lived up to its name. Thanks to Frank and his crew, in no time at all my neighbors are going to lose their unobstructed view of my pool and party deck and the front of my house went from drab to wow. I don?t know the first thing about trees or shrubs and had absolutely no clue what the best ones would be to give me quick privacy and that wouldn?t die in the yard of a person without a trace of a green thumb. Frank is a walking green encyclopedia and was able to give me expert advice and plenty of options to choose from. His crew showed up on time, were very professional and courteous, and even were kind enough to dispose of a giant tree branch that had been lying in my yard since last year. Overall I give them an A+ for a job that turned out better than I hoped for, and there?s no doubt I will call on them again for my next landscaping project.

I was unable to reach anyone to help me with snow removal but I found Frank from Almost Perfect Landscapers & although he was unable to come, he promised me that he would find a friend within 10 min. Sure enough, he called back promptly with a name & phone number. What a life saver he was. I'm sure that if he was here, he would have done a great job. I was very impressed that he went out of his way to find ANOTHER person to help out! Thanks Frank!

I was looking for a landscaper and snow removal service and I was able to reach Frank quickly and he provided me with a detailed breakdown of the fees. I reached out to him for snow removal and he was able to get a crew out quickly. Will be calling him again for the next big snow storm. Looking forward to using him for our landscaper.

The service turned out well. Three landscapers came out and completed the job in 1 day. They came back for a few hours of follow up work. They did a professional job. I had no problem scheduling the service.

Almost perfect is my year-round landscaping service. I switched last year from a different service and I am so glad I did. My yard looks great, and service is always on time. Frank and his team are courteous and professional. Frank helped me clear out and landscape a large part of my yard this year. I had no idea how much better my yard could look. Everything was done well, quickly and at a reasonable price. One of the things I really respect is that Frank will not ask you to do unnecessary work. Very nice people, great service and reasonable prices - I don't think you could go wrong.

I had a horrible lawn, which got worse every week. The people I had taking care of it tried seeding and adding (they said) top soil, but all I could see happening was larger areas of dirt and less grass as weeks went on. I called and spoke to Frank at Almost Perfect and he went to my home to take a look. It was bad. I was looking for an all-season contract and knew the lawn couldn't take much more. Based on what he saw, he told me what was needed to be done and wrote up a proposal. It was more than what I was paying, but the men I had been using were ruining my lawn. I worked with Frank and we agreed on a contract. His guys made one thorough visit (I think only one) and I can't say enough about how much better it looks already. I've got grass growing like crazy where there was only dirt for months. I thoroughly recommend this company to all Angie's members.

It went fine, with no surprises, and the result is great. I love my smoke tree, it is beautiful for that space. Frank met my husband and me at the nursery, and went over three possible trees for that space. We chose the smoke tree, I would never have discovered it on my own. Then, Carlos, who works with Frank,(who came last year when my back yard was landscaped) and another man installed the tree. They made sure that I liked the location of the tree before they planted. They consulted and discussed with Frank. They rearranged some bushes, trimmed another in the area. And gave me suggestions for future plantings when I asked. This is the second time that I have asked Almost Perfect for help, so I knew that things would work out well. The back yard's landscaping last year came out very nicely.All the trees are thriving. Frank is what a good ethical and talented landscaper should be. He gives honest advice, bills appropriately after the work is done, the work is done on time when it is promised. He clearly loves what he does, he is out to do great work, he wants his trees and plants to do great . Almost Perfect is the complete opposite of another landscaper I had asked years ago to do work, who I have reported to the State and anyone else who would listen. I will spare you the details. ( I have left my report of this other landscaper in Angie's list, although I have been told by another upset client / victim recently that it was difficult for her to find it ), I can only call that other individual a criminal walking free to do more damage. Oh well, sorry to digress, I just want to emphasize that there are some real crooks out there. Since I enjoy landscaping, I plan on asking Frank and Almost Perfect to do more for my property in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family.

They were excellent. Courteous, responsive and did an excellent job.

He put down an amazing new lawn where it was all destroyed by some bugs this summer.And it grew in about 2 weeks. That was impressive to me because we could not figure out all summer why the grass was dying. The fall clean up was ok. I didn't expect him to come to do fall clean up so early because it really wasn't necessary yet and he made an expectation of a couple weeks later. That might mean we would require an extra fall clean up session which is near $100 per session. I think because of his volume, it's not easy to keep track of who's who, but because he does a good job when he does it, I would continue to employ his service least for now. The bill comes in the end of the year, so I can not accurately evaluate the price yet so I put NA.

After reaching out to numerous providers and struggling to get a return call, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly Frank got back to me. He scheduled a visit to review our property and let us know what needed to be done right away vs. what could wait for a while without harm to our landscaping and our property. He understood that having just moved into our house, the less we could spend up front the better, and he was willing to work with us. His team was polite and efficient. Frank stopped by a few times just to check on the property and ensure everything was coming along as he hoped. We are very pleased with Frank and his team and will continue to use him for our lawn and landscaping.

Frank and his crew did an amazing job. Frank was able to determine the scope of work and come up with a very reasonable estimate using only pictures of my backyard that I provided him. This was very convenient since I was not required to schedule an appointment to meet Frank at my home. Everything was done over the phone. In addition, Frank was very flexible with his schedule. The original day his crew was to come over and install sod and shrubs the weather forecast called for heavy rain. Frank adjusted his schedule to, instead, do the work a day early. His crew was very efficient and completed everything within 2 hours. My wife and I are very pleased with the work. Our yard looks beautiful and Frank followed up the same day with guidelines for the proper care of the newly installed sod.

Provider promptly responded to initial contact. Approved work completed the following day. Workers were experienced, cooperative and easy to work with. Premises were nicely cleaned up and debris removed. Provider contacted me periodically to check on the progress and my satisfaction. Itemized bill was sent within a few days. Job was completed in 2 days ! Very good experience.
