Description of Work: I found this company on Angie's List because I trust their reviews and ratings. They have been coming to my house for weekly maintenance since August of last year. A few weeks ago, they came to trim my shrubs and clean the beds free of weeds. They sent me an invoice of $1400 for one day. This did not include the weekly fee. I tried calling the company about this charge and they said that they put something on the beds to stop the weeds. That was 3 weeks ago and now the weeds are back. Also, they said the charge was because they had sent 4 guys that worked for 4 hours. It's not like we have acres of land. I trusted this company. They had my debit card on file, and they just charged me a surprising rate like it was nothing. He said that the best he could do was charge back $130.

Description of Work: First of all, the owner Frank Porter was unprofessional. I had one sprinkler heard damaged which was repaired. The second visit in May 2016, a hose which was attached to a pool pump was damaged where a small patch of lawn in the backyard was run over my there mover. The crew took the hose, but I was never told till I found out the next day. I ordered the owner to return the damaged hose, which should have never been removed from the property. Frank Porter wanted to repair the damaged hose and |keep for himself. I refused and demanded the damaged hose be returned which he finally did. The next thing he said this is not going to work with me and refused to do lawn maintenance for my Mum's property. The extra hose was lying in plain view on the blue stone patio. You couldn't miss it. The fact that the damaged hose was removed from the property,his attitude and comment where "accidents happen" is no excuse. I am now looking for a person who will help me do lawn maintenance for my Mum who is 91 yrs old. Right now my son & I are mowing the property and doing the trimming. I need some one who is professional and willing to make my Mum's home look well taken care of. Running two homes is a lot of stress. My Mum was very upset and angry. The crew doesn't speak English & it was hard communicating. As far as Frank Porter goes I would not use him or tell anyone else. The damaged hose was repaired by me with a kit I bought from a hardware store and is working just fine. The new hose he left is being returned to his company in Paramus by me.

Description of Work: Frank and team came out to cut the grass and clean up the landscaping that we had just purchased and was about to receive a fine for not keeping the yard tidy. He called me on the phone, since I couldn't meet him and explained everything that needed to be done. He help us by doing the job quickly so that the town wouldn't fine us.

Description of Work: First, they did a fall/winter clean up. The guys did an excellent job, and I hired them to continue through the year. All season long they were always on time, and had my grass looking immaculate. Over all, I am extremely pleased is an understatement of the service they provide.

 + 1 moreRecently moved into a new home with a large and completely overgrown yard. Planned to tackle the work in phases. They were prompt, friendly and completely understanding of our situation. Frank, the owner/operator, has a really great attitude and offered a lot of helpful suggestions. He gave multiple estimates and was willing to work with us to fit our budget. Plus, he always got back to us when he said he would. Which is rare. Unfortunately, we had to put this job on hold because we need to focus on removing some of the dangerous trees in the yard before we can get to the beautification. When we explained the situation, not only was Frank understanding, he even suggested a tree removal company. Very classy.
Description of Work: Estimate on extending paver patio (roughly 400 sq ft) and excavating/landscaping backyard.

Description of Work: I pay Almost Perfect $180 a month to come in twice a month and mow my lawn, do the aeration, and weed my lawn. They also do the landscaping and maintain the plants, bushes, shrubs, and flowers.

 + -1 moreMy overall grade is based on the overall appearance of the grass currently. They are very responsive. Anytime I have called the owner,Frank Porter,he has always called me right back. They also bill me a flat rate for the spring clean up & final clean up in the fall,so I always know what the bill is going to be each month. They always show up & are very good about coming out when they are suppose to. Last year,they did a pretty good job however,my lawn right now is a mess. In the summer,Frank put down fertilizer & weed killer on the lawn,but it rained later which wash away all the chemicals. My grass didn't come up on one side & is now full of weeds. The quality of the work when the normal two workmen come out to mow and edge my lawn is fine,but the quality of my grass now with all the weeds,I'm not happy with. I don't have an automatic sprinkler system so if there ever was a drought then my lawn would turn brown,but that hasn't been a problem this year. Their prices are competitive.
Description of Work: They come out once a week to mow, edge the driveway, curbs and walks and blow debris off the walk, patio and backyard. They cleaned up the leaves and gutters in the fall. In the spring, they also do fertilization and clean up & re-seed the lawn if it's needed.

 + 2 moreThere are four men who come on a weekly basis to provide the lawn care. This is my third season with them as I am very pleased with the outcome. Each month, I am sent a bill to pay for the weekly services. The $40 is based on a weekly rate. They arrive on a day of their choice rather than mine. However, they are typically always come on the same day each week.
Description of Work: I have a yearly written agreement with the company. It entails the spring cleaning, fall cleaning, removal of snow, weekly mowing, trimming, removal of clippings and fertilizes the lawn. My yard is a 1/2 of an acre.
