He seemed very nice and everything, but his price seemed very high. He came out pretty quickly after I called him. He called us in the evening and told us when he was going to come. He came and gave the estimate. I have no complaints with it. He called us back with the prices. He wanted $800 for resodding the plot of lawn, but $300 would have been a fair price. I called him back and told him that I didn't realize how expensive it would be. He was very nice to talk to. I left him a message, and he didn't get back to me. Then, I sent him an email, and he got back to me.

I used them for spring cleanup, feeding new mulch, and fertilizer. Angie?s List had given them a good rating. They are good. I was very pleased with their job. They are a little on the expensive side. They are very responsive.

Frank Porter responded promptly to my first phone call. He then came with his foreman to see my property and went into careful detail on the services I wanted which includes using three different types of mulch. He gave me a written estimate at that time and I hired his company for a year of lawn care the next day. A week later ( Frank called ahead to tell me when they were coming) a whole crew of men appeared and did a thorough cleaning of the entire yard. I have about a half acre of lawn and large garden beds filled with plants and bulbs--several of which were starting to grow. The men worked very carefully--they put the mulch all in by hand and - as far as I can tell-not one emerging plant was damaged. They did a little perennial pruning also. I was very pleased with the work; I have had bad experiences with landscapers--primarily plant damage. They will also be doing my weekly lawn maintenance this year--I will report on that later.

Wow, wow, wow! My wife and I bought a new home in the winter that had previously been landscaped and maintained by a large operation in my area so the first thing we did was contact them and ask them how much it was going to cost to continue the contract. We had sticker shock when they gave us our quote and we felt that gardening clean up was really not worth it so we began to look elsewhere and found Almost Perfect Landscaping on Angie's List. Frank from Almost Perfect visited our house and was easy going, quickly identified what each yet-to-grow plant was and had a general attitude that was head and shoulders above the salesperson from the other place that stopped by. We choose Almost Perfect for a number of reasons but his knowledge and personality factored big in our decision. One example; the previous home owners had left a moldy old coy pond in the back yard and we didn't know what to do with it but wanted it removed to free up more yard space. Frank had the brilliant idea of moving the rocks (that made the pond walls) to the front of our home around some tree beds to better frame up the house. On spring cleanup day one member of his team expertly moved the rocks to the front and stacked them as if he'd been doing it all his life. Now the front of our house is framed up very nicely with these rock beds and we are thrilled that Frank had the insight to reuse an asset we were going to throw away. The attention to detail involved in the cleanup was astounding. They were at my house for roughly 6 hours and they carted away at least 15 bins of grass, leaves and sticks and left my yard clean and ready for the spring. Now that Frank and his team are done I can say that I am one very, very happy customer. Choosing Almost Perfect was the smartest decision we've made in our new home thus far. The only irony is the company name "Almost" is not doing their work justice. This was PERFECT. We highly recommend Almost Perfect Landscaping for all home owners who want an A plus service at a reasonable price.

We have used this company three times in the past 6 months. Each time Frank Porter has been very professional and extremely helpful. Before commencing the initial yard clean-up, Frank Porter provided us with a general concept of what we might want to consider for future landscaping in the yard. He spent several hours with us visiting nurseries to identify our preferences for plants, trees and shrubs, while offering suggestions as to how we could improve upon the current landscaping within our existing budget. Overall, we found the service provided to have been excellent, and extremely cost effective. The initial extensive yard clean-up was completed in one day, and afterwards the work crew removed all of the yard and tree debris. Our yard now looks fantastic, and is ready for us to redesign the landscaping in the spring. Furthermore, Frank Porter's installation of drainage piping with gravel and the slight leveling of the slope of the land around the foundation completely eliminated our basement flooding issues, and directly saved us from undertaking costly and unnecessary basement and foundation modifications.

Next day response in person. Frank, the owner, was honest as all the traits below. His crew work very efficiently and their clean-ups are impeccable. I highly recommend this company.

I don't feel pressured by them to have services that I don't need, which is a plus for me. I like the overall job they do, as far as maintaining my lawn goes.

I contacted Frank for emergency snow removal. He was eager to help our agency out of a frustrating situation. Almost Perfect attended to our snow removal needs at three houses within 24 hours and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend this company for any snow removal job. They are pleasant to work with, as well!

When we moved into our new home we desperately needed to have landscaping done because the previous owners had completely stripped the front of the house bare. We called Frank Porter and he returned our call immediately and we could tell just from talking to him on the phone that he could help us. Frank came out promptly to meet with us and helped us figure out our landscaping needs and what was best to do now in the fall and what needed to wait until the spring to plant. He was very helpful in explaining the options available for the work we wanted done. Frank met us at the nursery to review the trees and shrubs that would best frame the front of our house and line our driveway. Once the decisions were made we picked a day to have the work done. Frank and his crew arrived at 7:30am and were done by the end of the day. He even brought some additional ground cover and flowers because he thought they might add more color to the front of the house. Franks honored his original estimate for the cost of the work even though we choose different more expensive shrubs for the front and larger trees for the driveway. We are extremely pleased with the work done and will be using Frank again in the near future for our spring plantings!

Frank responded promptly to my request for an estimate. He emailed me shortly after I posted my request and visited our home to make an estimate as early as it fit into my schedule. The estimate was quickly given to me and detailed the work to be done and the price. The work started and was completed when promised. The crew was polite and professional.

They have a large client base, so they are rushing to get things done. They work very hard, and they work straight through every snowstorm. However, it can take them a long time to get to my neck of the woods. I have a sidewalk, so I need them to shovel the snow while the sun is up, and sometimes they are unable to. I have often thought they did not do a thorough job. The crew often forgot a path from the driveway to the back of the garage so I would have to walk thru snow to get to my car. If I called about a problem the owner, Frank, always apologized and said he would send someone out to fix it. The crew might take until the next day to come back and once no one came at all.

I think the owner is very responsive. The only complaint I have is that they tend to rush through their work. In their speed to clean up, they have damaged plants. Overall, their jobs turn out very well.

Frank Porter was a pleasure to deal with. He came onsite and walked through the property with me to explain both what is a good landscape as well as how his team will approach the job. Frank was clear on his estimate for the work and explained the components of each cost variable. On the day of the project start, Frank and his team of 5 guys arrived to get going. The team worked for a day and a half to clear dying plants and trees, trim tree branches, level and seed a section of property for grass, and cleanly trim and prep the existing plans for healthy growth. His foreman, Martin, was readily available to ensure the project proceeded as I had wanted. Frank's team did a thorough job and now I have a manicured property that was formerly an overgrown and crowded jungle. I appreciate Frank's enthusiasm and professional courtesy during the whole process. Frank will work with you to make sure you get what you wanted. I recommend Frank for any landscaping needs. Almost Perfect Landscaping was very responsive. They contacted me the next morning. Regrettably, my properties are outside their snow removal service area. They were very professional and courteous. If I have need of their other services I would consider them in the future.

Calls were promptly returned. Kept to meeting times. Offerred ideas/opinions as to how best to proceed with work and what would look good. Workmen were courteous and super fast. Followed up after work was done to assure my satisfaction. Plan on calling on this company again.

Frank, the owner of Almost Perfect Landscaping and Lawn Maintenance, responded to our call quickly. We are non-profit agency that provides housing and supportive services to mentally ill men and women who are homeless. We were in need of having soffits and fascia boards replaced around the lower half of the house, but had to have our greenery trimmed before having this other work completed. Frank Porter responded quickly and began the work within three days of our first call. His crew carefully removed dead or damaged shrubbery and trimmed tree branches that were impeding access to our garage roof and the fascia boards that encircle the roofline of the first floor of our house. All debris was removed from the property and work was completed in one day. His staff was professional and efficient and worked together as a team. Almost Perfect is a great company to work with due to the respectful nature of all of their staff and their obvious knowledge of the type of work they were doing. The work they completed was exactly as Frank described prior to the work being started. Our agency would highly recommend Almost Perfect for all of your landscaping needs.
