Excellent work in every respect. I would never hire anyone else.

The company was professional from start to finish. They stuck to the dates & times that were agreed to and were very responsive throughout the project. Will definitely call them again next time I need tree service.

It went well with excellent follow up. The crew did a very good job of clean up after the tree work was completed. We had questions later and they were very responsive.

Unlike other contractors I've used, John came when he said he would (actually arrived a few minutes EARLY), was super responsive on email, updated me if there were any changes on his end, was super professional and friendly. Originally used their service for my job, am now planning on reaching out for my personal needs.

Just great! Tree branches were above glass sun room. Was like watching a ballet. So coordinated and efficient. They had the equipment and the well-trained men. Have used them from many years... will always use them.

The 2 gentlemen who came and serviced our property were extremely professional and friendly! They were punctual and easy to work with. They have the best prices! I will definitely be using them in the future and will be recommending them to anyone looking for tree service.

Each job was scheduled and performed professionally - and at a reasonable price.

They had a bucket with a small tractor base that was able to negotiate into my back yard. It was specially designed to not rip up my grass. Trees removed and all wood trucked away. I lost one tree to collateral damage. It was destroyed when one of the target trees fell on it. Considering the difficulty of the job I don't blame them. Would have liked them to do some more trimming of other trees but they wound up working overtime to get the main gig done. Will bring them back when the next Ash tree dies.

I put this job off for years because I couldn’t find anyone who could handle it at a reasonable price. We live in an 18-foot wide row house, and the only access to the back yard is through the house—which we just recently remodeled (yes, we thought about doing it during construction but as mentioned couldn’t find anyone who seemed capable). These guys simply cut up the debris into arm-sized bundles and carried it out through to the front. Three guys showed up—one climber, who took direction from a spotter who helped shape the tree and a third guy who chopped up the debris. The tree looks great, and it’s like a weight has been lifted. These guys are terrific and I would certainly hire them again. And I’m a picky *******. Part of the job was to shape another tree, and that turned out well, too. Some of the other bids I received were for twice the price.

The trees were very large and they handled great without any damage to the property around them.

Workers were very professional. They did a very nice job cutting trees. The only problem was they made some ruts in my lawn because they use a cherry picker to access the branches. Ground was soft due to previous rains and I was not happy that they were going to drive this equipment over my lawn. They promised that it would not rut the lawn and I still questioned it so they called the manager. Manager said there was never any problem so I let them go ahead. There were depressions wherever they drove the machine which I noticed afterward. They were not too deep but I have heavy clay like soil and the depressions were holding water. I called and complained. Two people came out to check and both said it was minor. John said he would check after the next rain to see if they plumped up. I haven't heard since. I have decided to lift the areas with a pitchfork myself and I can hear the suction break when I lift those compressed areas. I still have a bit more to do and hopefully that will take care of it. Overall they did a good job with the trees and they were careful with the machine, but it is certainly heavy enough to cause depressions in a soft lawn. Not sure about their price because I did not shop around.

Since my first contact (via email) with Friendly Tree, I knew they were professional and reliable: quick email response and efficient communication. A member of the crew was there for a free estimate a couple of days later and was very clear and transparent. Pricing was reasonable. I got scheduled for the week after and the crew was there on time, well equipped and did a great a job. Professional service, I highly recommend, with no hesitation.

Friendly Tree Service did not give us much service, and they are not so friendly. Tony Lang, the owner, and his crew do not finish the job! We had 5 trees fall on our West Orange property March 2, 2018 and we contracted Friendly Tree to remove them. They removed the trees and left the stumps! We still have the stumps and I'm writing this on August 20, 2018. Each time we emailed or confronted him at his office, he would say “next week”. Lies. At some point he told us he sub-contracted the stump work to another contractor. This contractor never showed up either. Now, on August 20, 2018 we found someone else to grind down the most intrusive of the stumps. He says he cleans up after Friendly Tree Service all the time.They do not finish the job!. We paid Friendly Tree Service good money and they did not finish the job. A word to the wise: If you need a tree service, do not use Friendly Tree Service!

Friendly has got a client in me. This was my first experience with the company, and based on pretty poor experiences with some of their competitors, I was ready to be disappointed. They re-scheduled my first appointment, but informed via email that they would be there that weekend. Saturday came, and up pulled Hakeem in his truck, followed by two other gents with their truck / equipment. Hakeem walked me through the work order, identified each of the trees along the way, and fully described the work. That done, he and the crew were off, maneuvering the equipment with great care, removing bluestone so it wasn’t crushed, etc. Very efficient service, and when they left, they’d cleaned so well, I wouldn’t have known they were there had I not been there. A+ experience all around.

We had a large tree perilously leaning on (and being held up) by another tree. If it feel, it would have damaged a shed, fence, and possibly some neighboring property. The crew came out the next day after the estimate was given to get that tree down (even though they didn't have much availability with other jobs going on). Very appreciated. Would hire again.

Very well. From the day I received an estimate until the day work was performed every team member was courteous and very professional. Triple A performance for the employees who performed the work. True team effort. No delays. Job completed as promised and in a timely manner. I can actually see the roof on my garage now. I'm very pleased. Great job.

They missed part of a stump but came back and fixed it.
