My positive experiences go back many years with the owners John & Tony of Friendly Tree. Then they came to top off my three aristocat pears. John came by in late July to assess my tree work and while I was concentrating on my 13 holly trees he was eying those pears. He told me they need to come down or be topped. I know John is a horticulturist but I didn't listen. On August 4 Topical Storm Isaias split my pears. Miraculously the substantial damage was only to my property. Tony arrived soon after and made a proposal to take down the trees. They were $600 under the local competitor. As a bonus, John wrote a detailed proposal that was honored by my insurer. Their equipment is top notch as are their tree experts and workers. The office staff are actually Friendly. What more could you ask for? A+++++++++ Geraldine B. L.

We had really strong winds blast through NJ recently. I was really worried that my 100+ year old structurally compromised oak tree would not make it. Watched it sway in the gales but only lost twigs! Friendly Tree Serivice is NOT friendly to me. I called them last week to estimate a falling branch in the backyard and tree removal, they said they will come on Friday but they cannot give a time when. Nobody showed up on Friday, they called me on Saturday and asked me if I still need their service, and said would be there in 2 hours. I notified my tenant and waited for them outside of the property for a while, nobody showed up. I called them on Sunday evening, they said they are not sure I still need the service, and took me out of their list. They can come on Monday. Somebody finally came on Monday and sent me an email that they could not estimate the price. I asked why, they said too difficult to do the job, if I want their service, it has to be 12,000$. My tenant was upset because I notified her multiple times but nobody showed up. I wasted so much time and energy on this Unfriendly company. I finally called Morales Tree Service, they removed the branch and tree in 48 hours for 1700$.

Estimate was fair, John was always accurate, pleasant and his teams always do great work and cleanup. You never know they were there when they leave. I have used Friendly Tree for 5 years and they are my "go to" for all my tree care.

The job was done with little difficulty. Minor damage was done because of the equipment used. Small pieces of the gravel was broken going into the backyard. Overall, I was very pleased with the job and the cleanup.

No show up at appointed time without calling. I was off for this job. They called 30 min later and said to cancel the schedule due to rain. However in my area it rained for only 30 min and stopped. What a wonderful day it was. After cutting a tree, my driveway should be paved over that area two days later, even they knew it but they did not reschedule before asphalt paving. I postponed my driveway paving with penalty. What a horrible service!!! We are now urgently looking for others.

They crew did a great job: they responded quickly, set up an appointment with no delay, were friendly, timely and did a great job. My neighbor used them to get an on-the-spot trim that day as well!

Received a quote quickly and Friendly Tree were able to complete the work next day. The team was professional, friendly and operated in a safe manner, and cleared away all debris at the end. I would recommend them and will hire them again in the future.

I hired this company to trim my 90' Oak tree that grows out of the middle of my deck. I have a narrow driveway that only adds to the difficulty of the job. These guys utilized a spider type lift that was able to get in the driveway and take care of business. They did an excellent job and clean up as well. They are cheap but you always get what you pay for and they were worth every cent.

Having been 'ghosted' by two other services, I was very happy to have the estimator show up on time as promised. The estimate I received was fair. I was able to schedule an appointment within the week that was convenient to me. The work was done exactly as promised, on time, including all cleanup. They were knowledgable, courteous, professional and friendly. I'm currently in touch with them to have two trees planted in my yard. I would highly recommend them.
