I'm very unhappy with their service.

Excellent service. The price was good and the job was quickly and expertly done. Good communication. A five star rating is well deserved.

Salesperson extremely knowledgeable about trees and went above and beyond what was necessary

All the tree removal work was done well. They did cut in round pieces the trunk for firewood use. They also removed a lot of odd pieces and wood junk accumulated over time. They were 1 of 2 firms I got estimates for the work. The first took too long to get an estimate and then too long to reply to questions or arrange to come and do work. So in comparison, friendly was prompt and followed through. What I was not expecting given estimate was that they accomplished this in less than 2.5 hours. From prior estimates and the price I expected this was close to a full day job. So for me I thought the price was high for the work it entailed. I would recommend understanding the hours and in the end if paying for estimated or actual time it takes to get work done. It was a crew of 3, however it seemed it was 2 workers and one manager.

Canvassed a few tree services in the area. John at Friendly Tree was easily the most knowledgeable. He gave me a run down of the tree type and what removal of the tree would entail. After agreeing on the contract, his crew arrived one day later than the scheduled time frame (no fault of their own, there was inclement weather in the area). His men were prompt and efficient; and honestly, if the 60 foot tree wasn't missing from the front yard, you'd never have known any one was at the house, save for the mulch from the ground up stump.(which i happily utilized on my wife's flower bed in the back). If only every service oriented company operated like Friendly Tree, we'd all live simpler existences. What better testament than to say, we would happily use them again for any upcoming projects. thanks!

The provider, Friendly Tree Service, came out today to give us an estimate to prune and/or remove trees for both safety reasons pertaining to the roof and to provide a clear signal path for our satellite dish service. The worker, John, was extremely pleasant and professional. He advised us not to have him do the work because we are tenants and the property manager really is the one who should get involved. Plus it is an expensive undertaking for a tenant. He told us that one of the problems is a tree in our neighborhood is considered a county tree if it is less than 13 feet from the street when there is no sidewalk. I would highly recommend dealing with this provider because of their honesty. Even though I did not have work done I can say John was fantastic.

Did they a really good job, was reasonable, and cleaned up after themselves.

True to their name they were extremely friendly, knew their trees very well and aggressively cut off bad limbs. The trees look 10x better now, and the back yard is again safe for the kids to play in. Limbs would fall if it was at all windy. The price was a little high but relative to other quotes was inline, it's just not an easy property to do work on, so I'm not dinging them on that. Scheduling they came out right away and did the work.

Job well done! The team arrived on time, thoroughly reviewed the job with us to confirm expectations and completed the project in an expeditious manner. Following completion of service they walked the property with us to ensure we were satisfied with the work prior to completing the payment transaction. Clean-up was also very thorough.

The men that came did a terrific job. They were prompt, did everything that was on the contract and cleaned up completely after the job. We would not hesitate to use them again.

The crew was extremely professional, did a great job and we intend to hire them to do more tree work. After the dead limbs were removed, the tree looked 100% better and we were encouraged that we might not lose it as we had feared. Their knowledge of trees was impressive and we recommend this company highly.

It took them a about an hour. I was not home when they did the work, but their clean up was fine.

Purchased $225 deal for $99 on Living Social. Called for an estimate and received response right away. John Lang was really professional, very knowledgeable about all the trees we have. He emailed me the quote next day. Unfortunately quotes I got for trees I wanted to get serviced were bit pricier than other service providers. So we just asked for the maple tree to be crowned to shape and remove vines from my neighbors house. They couldn't make the 1st appointment so had to reschedule but they were very courteous about it and guys came on time the next day when they were supposed to. The guy told me what work they completed and when I looked at the tree it didn't look any different and even though I felt like the tree needed to be shaped smaller I gave the remaining balance as they were packed away and guys all waiting by the car ready to go. After they were gone I inspected the neighbors vines but they were still there. :( very disappointed because I thought they were going to pull out the vines and poison ivy. So I'm not sure which vines they cut as the 2 big vines that we wanted gone is still there. My fault for assuming what they would do and I feel like I wasted money as my husband could've cut the vines if I knew that was all they were planning on doing.... Overall, happy with price I paid and they did work on what I asked to do and left the yard clean.

John Lang is knowledgeable, responsive and punctual. He came by, gave me an estimate and I decided to split the job, so phase 1 is done. His crew showed up at 9 and finished the job by 4. They were courteous, did a great job and cleaned up everything.

The provider removed three trees. They were required to remove debris. Not everything was removed. I am not happy with how the job was handled. $150 were charged to remove deadwood on the maple tree. Not satisfactory. Overall job- Below average.

I can't remember the last time I had someone come in, give us a free evaluation and then tell us the cheapest way to complete the process. Honestly, he could have quoted a price of a couple of hundred dollars and I would have thought that it was reasonable. We saved about $200 having our landscaper complete the job. Kudos and thanks to John and Friendly Tree Experts. There will be a point when we will need their services and we will not take a second to give them a call. It's all about integrity, honesty and professionalism.

Contacted six conractors, four responded, resulting in three estimates. Estimator punctual, informative, and estimate reasonable. Crew three hours later than agreed - a call would have been nice. Crew spokesman very courteous. Worked quickly and efficiently. Climber very skilled with chain saw - within inches without touching the roof. Pleased with cleanup. Would hire again.

Very fast! Removed all first day and the work did not take the full day; returned second day to grind the 2 stumps. Everything was cleaned up satisfactorily. No problems. This was admittedly not a difficult job since the trees and shrubs were not huge and easily accessed. I found John, the owner, very knowledgable; He is an arborist which could be very useful in determining whether to proceed with tree removal, etc.

Called several tree service companies for the work and all were prompt to give me quotes (and the prices were all inline with each other). However talking to John his knowledge of friendliness shone through and so we selected Friendly. In the day I called them they had a crew already in the area so I had service the same day! The crew were excellent, friendly and took care of the work and tidy up with no fuss.

They are excellent! They did a good job. The person who did the assessment, John Lange, was very prompt and responsive. We plan to use them again when we need pruning.

I called them back in the fall; but I think it was okay, except for the money I paid for another service. They do a good service. They were very responsive, but the only thing was that I didn't get the okay in terms of having them do the service that I was looking for in the fall. I looked through a number of tree services in the area and their price was reasonable. They offered a good service for the lowest price. The guy who came out was very personable. He was very straightforward. It is a family run business. When I called them, they were very responsive.

Came immediately when called for consultation, gave expert evaluation, offering various options & very reasonable price. Performed work safely & expeditiously the next day & left property immaculately clean. Highly recommend.

Service was excellent. There was a scheduling issue on Friday but Friendly Tree accomodated me the following morning. Took only 2 hours to remove the tree and trim branches from another tree overhanging my property. They weren't able to remove the strump though, as there was no room to remove it based on where the tree was located. Overall, it was great service at a great price. Would definitely use them again.

I had taken three quotes on this relatively large job that was done a month or so after we moved into this property. Friendly Tree's quote came out in the middle. The reason I selected this company is because of the extreme professionalism and punctuality of the staff of this company, including John Lang and the office staff Nicole. They were extremely prompt, did not require any deposit, and were always reachable by e-mail, text, and phone. The crew arrived on the designated day as promised ; the removal part of the project had to be rescheduled a couple of times because the crane operator hurt his back but John kept me apprised by e-mail and text. Every single person who worked on this project was courteous, polite, and extremely professional. John's brother, James does all of the stump grindings. He did a very neat job. The whole job went great from start to finish and I will definitely hire them again for my next tree project.

I was very happy with the job done. They were prompt, the crew knew exactly what they needed to do and did the job neatly and efficiently. It went faster than I anticipated and they cleaned everything up. Excellent contractor.
