Description of Work: We contacted Friendly Tree Service for an estimate to prune two trees in our backyard and remove a wisteria. They gave us a window of 2 hours, from 2PM to 4PM during a week day. They called at 2:15PM to say that finally they could not make it and proposed to reschedule for the following Monday. I called back to confirm my availability, left a voicemail, and never heard from them again. A significant loss of time for nothing.

Description of Work: I have used Friendly 3 time for removal of several trees. Theast service was for 6 trees and some major trimming. Their prices are great, John is super punctual and a super knowledgeable arborist. Looking to have service again in the fall of 2014.

Description of Work: Came next day to attend to a dangerously positioned diseased tree and a few others with storm damage. Arrived on time, completed the work efficiently and only asked for payment when it was completed to out satisfaction. Every member of the team we met was polite and courteous. Would not hesitate to recommend nor use again.

Description of Work: Came and gave me an assessment of an extermely large and overgrown tree. Recommended pruning. I originally wanted to cut it down and remove the stump. The cost for removal with stump would have been $2,350.00. They let me know that the tree was completely healthy, and was just in dire need of some pruning and TLC. There was no need to cut it down. That's exactly what I did, and the tree looks great. Very honest company they very easily could just have told me to remove the tree for the larger fee. They were also very responsive, only took a week from my first call for an assessment to the final pruning.

Description of Work: Hurricane Sandy took down two trees on my property. A huge white pine knocked off the front right corner of my home falling onto, but not penetrating my garage roof (the top of the fallen pine was caught on the branch of another tree, saving my garage. I was late in calling the local tree companies so I just got full mailbox messages on their voicemails. They were all completely swamped with calls. I got through to Friendly Tree by email. I attached a photo of the huge tree fallen on top of my garage to illustrate that I had a serious problem and not just branches in my back yard. They got right back to me and sent someone to give me an estimate. The estimate was reasonable; my insurance company accepted it and I signed the contract. There were delays in getting to my house , but they got there about 10 days after Sandy and did a great job in safely removing the tree. I worried about the delay at the time, but considering my house was in a disaster zone, the work was done in as timely a manner as was humanly possible. I had used Friendly Tree on two previous occasions (I've lived in this house for over twenty years,) and I was just as pleased with their work then.

Description of Work: As a result of Hurricane Irene, we had a tree fall on our roof. Naturally, all tree services were inundated with calls but Friendly replied very promptly to give an estimate (which my insurance adjuster said would not happen because of the extreme volume of cases), and then came and completed the job with swat team precision a few days later. They were prompt, pleasant to deal with and the staff worked together and did a great, careful job. Thankfully, the cost of the job is paid for by homeowner's insurance. They are the first people I would call with my tree issues.
