Tantucci was recommended by a friend. things started off well in March of 2016 and they warned me they were busy. They said if I could wait until September we could work together. I needed drawings done and they gave me the name of an architect they use for doing drawings. JoAnn Montero. in East Brunswick. Working with her also started off good. Her and I met in Early May and a preliminary drawing was done by Mid June. It did not have enough detail to do anything with. I continually followed up with JoAnn and Tantucci. JoAnn seemed to respond to them much better than directly with Me even though I had made the deposit with JoAnn and did not have a bid from Tantucci since they wanted to work from her complete drawings. A more detailed drawing arrived the end of July after pushing Linda at Tantucci but was still missing 20 items needed and clearly discussed. earlier. JoAnn stopped responding to me completely after August 2nd. I would only get an update from Linda saying Steve Tantucci and JoAnn were very busy and would get back to me. After I threated to cancel on September 10th Linda told me that JoAnn and Steven had spoken and would have drawings done the following week. ANOTHER Two weeks later, not drawings and no phone call. After 22 weeks of being unable to get the drawings nor a bid from Tantucci, on September 26th I have given up and had to start all over again. Linda Tantucci is kind and seems to be stuck in the middle of a company that is VERY over booked. She apologizes but cant seem to get Steve nor their Architect to meet their commitments. Starting over is VERY unfortunate, but the lack of commitment and responsiveness of that team is astonishing.

This is the second time we've used Tantucci for major home improvements. Steve and his crew are wonderful. Steve explains things clearly and points out issues that will need to be addressed before work can begin. He and his crew are trustworthy and very competent. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat (and I am...we are having the windows replaced soon.)

They were very good! Steve worked well with us. He and his wife were very nice. They were neat, clean and very helpful.

Steve Tantucci is a calm, even-tempered professional who knows both general contracting as well as actually performing numerous construction roles. He takes personal involvement in all aspects of the project. Our start date was negotiated after reviewing his proposals. Changes were dealt with as they were requested/discovered and everything was documented and agreed prior to doing any work. He has a staff that has been with him for at least the 7 years we have worked with him on various projects, which started as a major kitchen remodel. Since then he has reconstructed 2 bathrooms from the studs out (now working on our 3rd), a new hardwood staircase and floors, 2 bay windows, sliding doors, a new roof and many other projects. Steve is the first and only contractor we call. He's just that good. Every aspect of the relationship has been A-rated. I would recommend him to my family and friends. I like the fact that he's local and takes great pride in his work. I also like the way he approaches our concerns and issues. There's always a discussion and never an argument. On top of all that, he, his wife and staff are genuinely nice people. By the way, we even had him go to brooklyn to complete window and door construction after Hurricane Irene. Tantucci is the BEST!

I am very pleased with the work. The crew did such a fantastic job of cleanup & were so polite.
