+ -1 moreDennis and Bill constructed my new Homesteader 8' x 10' "She Shed" on an existing concrete pad. Everything about the process was amazing. The construction process was efficient and so well-orchestrated that it was a joy to watch. The quality of the finished product is superior to all the other sheds I shopped. The shed looks great in my backyard - it's a mini-version of my house. I shopped a lot of shed companies and options, and this is the best. Would highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in a new shed.

They provided different options, answered every single question and addressed all concerns. They removed the old shed and built/installed the new shed in one afternoon. In short, they did an excellent job. We are very happy and satisfied with their work and our new shed.

Description of Work: Bought the homesteader. Built on site, workers were on time and professional. Also added the architectural shingles and vinyl siding which is worth it. Shelves may be okay for some, but I tore them out and added my own with a workstation and pegboard. Just a little disappointed that the trim boards are wood and need to be painted, but otherwise good company to deal with and builds a nice shed with top notch materials.

Dennis was very responsive to all my emails and phone calls and came out to view shed location before I decided to move forward with the work. This is a family owned business that cares about the satisfaction of their customers. I have already recommended American Shed Builders to several friends. Although their prices might not be the cheapest the quality of the shed is worth the extra money. Their attention to detail is commendable. The shed is 6' high with 2 vents, 2 shelves and double doors with latch and lockable handle. I love my Shed!

+ -1 moreThe builders did a good job building and the shed materials were high quality with vinyl sidings and fiberglass doors. The B rating for professionalism was due to small things. 1) It had rained in the morning and dirt and leaves stuck to the wood which lined the interior of the shed was not cleaned after job completion. 2) No strike plate for the bolt on top of the door was installed. The bolt just fits in the drilled hole on the wood which would probably wear out over time. But overall the experience was excellent and will recommend.

+ -1 moreI needed a new shed and faced the problem of needing one built in place rather than pre-built and delivered. The company is from New Jersey and this figured into the cost. The company specializes in building sheds rather than a regular contractor who builds sheds on the side while doing home renovations.Provider showed up on time with the new shed in his van. He and his assistant took down the old shed and then proceeded to build the new one. After they were done, they took away the old shed leaving only a few cinder blocks (which the old shed rested on) behind. The new shed is of the highest quality and looks to last a long time. The waiting period to get the new shed was only about 3 weeks as opposed to using a regular home renovation contractor who might squeeze you in when he has nothing better to do. All in all a very pleasant experience.
Description of Work: Provider tore down old rotted shed and built a new one in it's place.

Description of Work: I was in the market for replacing our original backyard shed (built in 1995) and had been shopping around (including looking at sheds at the big box stores - Home Depot and Lowes). In my search I sent emails to 4 smaller "private" shed builders and heard from two of them quickly (one was Dennis from American Sheds in Old Bridge). He was immediately responsive and helpful in his original emails and our first phone call. That alone brought me to his store to see his sheds. Lot's of options to consider (styles, sizes, colors, options) and he quickly demystified them. He was pleasant, courteous and extermenly helpful and pateint (and no "sales" pitches or pressure when in his showroom). So I committed to buying one of his sheds. Everything from that point on was perfect. He and his crew were prompt and did great work. They came a few days before building the shed to take our old one down (and removed all the material)...Home Depot and Lowes don't do this work by the way, that's the homeowners responsibility. They then came back and built the new shed (from scratch) in less than a day...and it looks GREAT. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone in the market for backyard sheds to consider American Sheds (and make sure to ask for Dennis)! Top shelf professional and business!!! Services Provided - take down and remove old shed and build (from scratch) new shed.

+ -1 moreThe fact that they actually build the shed on your property first drew me to this company. No need to remove fences etc to bring the shed in. I was very pleased with the price and quality. The workers showed up on time, as promised, and worked non-stop until the work was completed. They were professional and are very good at what they do. They cleaned up the area and carted all debris away.
Description of Work: I contracted with these folks for the removal of an old wooden shed and replacement with a new shed.
