I highly recommend Air One. Michael was extremely professional and courteous. The price was hundreds of dollars less than the quotes we received from other companies, the Rheem unit he installed was one of excellent quality, not some piece of junk of a brand. We are going to hire him to do more work in our house!

Mike arrived on time on the day of service, was very polite and professional. He fixed the gas pipe, replaced the fitting on the pool heater, kept all the work areas clean. He did not leave any garbage or pipes behind. He also made sure that we were satisfied with the work, explained exactly what he did and showed all the repairs. I would definitely recommend Air One Heating and Cooling Pros to my friends in the area. It is a pleasure to work with such nice and honest professionals. The price was very reasonable and fair.

Mike was very professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and effective. I appreciated that Mike used "booties" over his boots to keep my floor clean, that he explained what he did, got my boiler running again, advised me on the LWCO part/reliability, and had an excellent price for this 1st service call.

It went great. The replacement gasket from the manufacturer was very fragile (graphite version), but Mike handled it with care and installed it quickly and effectively and performed checks after installing it. I also appreciated Mike's responsiveness in scheduling appointments and that he used booties over his boots to keep the floors clean.

Mike did and excellent job including replacing the LWCO switch (problem identified during initial service call), and fixing problems that my previous HVAC contractor caused when they installed a new boiler installed after SuperStorm Sandy [2012]. I appreciated that Mike gave me the option to buy the LWCO switch myself since I was able to do this and save some money. I appreciated that Mike explained the additional repairs he made and why they were needed. Mike also used a natural cleaner when flushing the heating system, which I value since minimizing the use of toxic materials in my home is very important to me and my family. Mike was also responsive and flexible in making the service appointment. He was also fair/reasonable on the charges for the unexpected additional work (beyond installing LWCO and flushing system).

Michael was awesome. Came quickly on a holiday weekend and didn't overcharge for it. Our problem (which turned out to be minor) was quickly resolved. Will definitely use again.

Mainly, I wanted to finally address the problem of my 1st flr never staying as warm as the 2nd flr in winter. The warm air rises to 2nd floor, so only solution would be to raise the thermostat (located on 1st floor) which then makes the 2nd floor unbearably warm. Not to mention higher heating bill. Same issues in the summer. I had done some research on my own to find what could be done as I couldn't stand another uncomfortable winter. Found a video from This Old House on HVAC Zoning which seemed to make sense & possibly be a solution. http://www.thisoldhouse.com/toh/tv/ask-toh/video/0,,20781190,00.html I met w/ 3 contractors to get an estimate for Zoning & air purification system for my 1st & 2nd floors but decided on Air One. I did not go w/ the 2 contractors I met for these reasons: Unreasonably overpriced at $5100; no explanation on why the quote was high, and the other contractor I didn't feel totally confident about, though quote was more reasonable at $3400 for same job. I found Mike from Air One Heating & Cooling Pros on Angie's List. I was impressed w/ the reviews: reasonable price, itemized job detail & costs, very reliable, experienced, punctual. I really liked that he called back quickly, was able to schedule a time that was accommodating for me, and punctual. We went over the problem of heating and concluded that Zoning would help w/ it. It would entail separating 1st & 2nd floors into 2 separate Zones by adding motorized dampers w/ a control panel, installing a separate thermostat on 2nd floor that would automatically close the damper if it gets too warm on 2nd floor and when 1st floor thermostat reads colder, then the damper opens to push warm air mainly to 1st floor. Sounded wonderful! I asked how much would it be to add air purifier & UV lights. I wanted to clean & freshen the indoor air while reducing viruses & allergens. Mike explained how the Air Purification system would operate. It was clear so decided to do it once he gave the quote on it. He wrote out the work details & itemized the cost of parts from the supplier (no padding extra $), and his labor cost was $160/hr. He was estimating 4-5 hrs. As we went through the design plan, he pointed out some issues I was not aware of how serious it was: 1) There was No safety switch for furnace. 2) No emergency drain pan & safety switch. 3) Condensate pump low water cut off switch was not connected. 4) Intake pipe was open to inside air & dryer lint was accumulating in burner compartment that was a potential fire hazard. He even checked out the dryer vent & duct connection to see what was going on. Well what do you know? The metal duct had a screw that was snagging the lint which could eventually clog the vent and it was not sealed properly w/ metal tape instead it had screws. I really had to wonder what the HVAC contractor who initially installed all this was thinking???!!! Mike wondered how it had all passed inspection. I'm all about preventing problems so have always been on top of maintenance schedules for the whole house. I was very surprised that the previous duct cleaning, HVAC maintenance guys before had never brought this to my attention! I asked how much it would be to address these issues. He would have to take the furnace apart & modify supply duct. He added the extra hours needed & estimated costs of supplies which he would show me the receipts later. Again, very reasonable for that scope of work. The total estimate was $3600 for all supplies & whole day's work (8-9hrs) for Zoning, Air Purification System, and correcting all the other safety issues, plus running the intake pipe to the outside. Amazing!!! Mike was $1500 less than my first contractor who was ONLY doing zoning & air purification system. He even fixed this annoying rattling sound from one of my bedroom vents that made it difficult to fall asleep. He took a look, figured out exactly what was causing it and no noise! Mike & his assistant came promptly at 9am & worked until 7pm almost non-stop getting everything done. Making new ducts and modifying them outside, taking apart the whole furnace to install the drain pan was very involved. He really works hard and is very experienced to be able to give accurate cost & time needed for the job. I was very impressed at the efficient use of time & how he took care to place drop cloths to protect the floors and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. He came back the next week to finish sealing as he had run out of metal tape. I am using him for all my future HVAC needs & maintenance! I'm planning to have him install whole house humidifier unit next. I'm that happy & extremely pleased w/ the comfort that Zoning has given us as well as the clean fresh air from Purification system, plus the peace of mind that now the safety issues are taken care of and done correctly!

Even though I found Mike through Craigslist, I am happy to review him here. He did an excellent job on the Humidifier install. He even came back the next day with just a few hours notice, as there was a slight leak from the pipe. Highly recommended !!!

So there we were, pulling into the driveway after coming home from Maryland for Thanksgiving, ready to relax and not think about all of the weight we just gained. We went into the basement to start a load of laundry from the trip, and found lots of water all over the basement floor. We immediately called Mike, who we hired the previous week to replace our furnace. He was able to walk us through turning off the water and gas lines to the water heater, as well as set up an appointment to replace it ASAP. Keep in mind this was 4pm Saturday after Thanksgiving. He gave us the option to get a water heater from Home Depot and install it on Sunday, but if we waited until Monday we would get a 10 year warranty (rather than the 3 or 4 Home Depot offered). We decided to go with the 10 year warranty and Monday, since not having hot water for a day is worth 10 years of resting easy. On Monday he showed up on time and got right to work. In a quick couple of hours, he had our old system removed and the new system installed, and we were on our way to washing dishes, hot showers (not together), and doing laundry with our brand new high efficiency 10-year warranty hot water heater. He even swept up the area in the basement. Once he was done, he showed us what he did and gave us some information about the hot water heater, common issues, and typical temperature settings. He wanted to make sure we understood everything about what we had paid for to demonstrate the overall value his service provided. He was very polite and considerate, and really was a pleasure to work with.

I have an older oil burner in my basement it failed to turn on when it was supposed to. I have called Air One and my call was answered by Mike Bobadilla. Although Mike was very busy he made an extra effort to come. After Mike diagnosed the problem he was able to come up with a cost saving solution using parts that he had in his truck. Not having to wait for the original part enabled the furnace to be operational again. I'm very thankful for his help. Thank You

mike was excellent--I called on a Saturday and he came the same day. he is always professional. 2 summers ago he was able to get my approximately 30 year old central air unit working during a heat wave and it continued to work fine this past summer also.

For every home improvement projects, I always get three estimates from Angie's List provider (based on their reviews) and two other from other sites (craigslist, homeadvisor etc), and I am glad I stuck with my habit on my last project. I found Airone Pro on Craig's list, but when Mike came in for an in home estimate, I found out that he is also part of Angie's List provider. After meeting him, I found him to be extremely knowledgeable, soft spoken and honest about everything he does. He assessed my need for the whole house humidifier based on the size of the house and the type of zoning, and recommended a model slightly cheaper than what I was looking for. He also gave me the benefits of that model over the more expensive one that I was looking for. This shows how he values his customer's overall satisfaction and doesn't try to up sale something with more profit. His rates were about 20% lesser than the big box provider I found as "preferred" on Angie's list. At this point, I decided to go with Mike for the job and scheduled a installation day according to my schedule. On the day of installation, Mike showed up right at the scheduled time with all the necessary parts and equipment. He was extremely careful about my home and used extra care to keep the floors clean by using shoe covers. His work habits are as close to perfect as possible. The overall finishing of the final work done was something I have never seen before. He finished the entire job and cleaned the area within the estimated time. Before leaving, he showed how the humidifier works, walked me through the standard maintenance procedures and gave me tips to prevent any common mistakes made by the home owners. He definitely goes above and beyond to prepare his customers to familiarize with the product and stands behind his work. I would definitely use Mike for my any future home improvement needs and maintenance of HVAC systems.

It was amazing. The guy was very responsive, he came right out and gave me an estimate, sent me pictures of the parts and broke down the cost of the parts and labor. He diagnosed the issue before he did any work and sent me pictures after the work was completed along with a very detailed invoice. He couldn't have done the work any faster. He was a super nice guy, very prompt and professional. The service was so good that I hired him to come back out to the same property to look at the boilers and will use him again for any future needs.

Over the last 10 years, I have hired many contractors to perform work on my primary residence and my rental properties. I have had existing furnaces and air‑conditioning units repaired and replaced. I have had new air‑conditioning systems installed on existing forced air furnaces. I have had new ductless air‑conditioning systems installed where there were hot water baseboard heating systems. I have hired plumbers to repair supply lines, stop valves, drain pipes, and vent stacks; and to replace fixtures such as faucets, toilets, sinks, and hot water heaters. Because this was my first time using Air One Heating and Cooling Pros, I bombarded the owner Mike with questions about all the possible services that I may need for my several properties. I must admit that I was astonished by how much Mike knew. In fact, not only is Mike the most knowledgeable person that I have ever met with regards to heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical systems, but Mike is also the most honest service technician that I have ever encountered. Mike gave me quotes for replacing a hot water heater, installing a ductless air-conditioning system, and removing an old furnace and oil tank. All of the quotes that Mike provided were lower than the prices I received from Mike’s direct competitors. I immediately hired Mike to remove the old oil furnace and oil tank. Mike showed up the next day with his assistant. They disassembled and hauled away the oil furnace. Mike capped the thimble hole in the wall, and then he removed the electrical wires that were no longer needed. Mike then pumped the old fuel oil from the oil tank. I had mistakenly told Mike that there was very little fuel oil in the tank. It turned out that Mike had to pump out and haul away over 150 gallons of fuel oil over a two day period. Although this was much more work than Mike expected to perform for the amount of money he quoted, Mike didn’t complain. Mike was at all times professional and cheerful. I felt so bad about how little Mike was being paid for all the work he performed that I insisted he accept an extra $100. It’s important to know how the major HVAC and pluming service companies operate to fully appreciate how valuable it is to find a guy like Mike to provide these services. The major HVAC and plumbing service companies such as Gold Medal and A.J. Perri pay their service technicians based on how much work they can sell to customers. In other words, the service technician that comes to your home is actually required to generate a monthly sales revenue quota. Therefore, the technician who comes to your home deliberately tries to sell you more repairs than you need. This means that Mike’s major competitors are necessarily overpriced and sell you more services than you need as a matter of company policy. Therefore, Mike is from now on the only guy that I will ever need to call for all of my heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical needs. I will hire Mike to install my hot water heater. I will hire Mike to install a ductless air-conditioning system in my house this April. I will hire Mike to do all of the plumbing on a new bathroom that I am building in my house. I just hope that nothing happens to Mike, since he is now indispensable. Needless to say, I highly recommend Mike to everyone I know. And that says a lot, because I don’t make these kind of recommendations lightly. I only recommend a person who I am convinced is honest, fair, and knowledgeable.

They were pleasant and punctual, they showed up when they said they would. They explained in detail what they were going to do, then they went over the jobs with me when they were done. Very clean and organized, they respected my house and my furniture. The jobs turned out very well and the price was good. They cleaned everything thoroughly. I honestly had no complaints, they did a great job. They took the time to answer all my questions. Will definately use them for more in the future. I highly recommend them.
