 + -1 moreAfter ordering a bench from Tidewater Workshop on July 16, 2009 (& canceling for lack of delivery) on September 23, 2009. I spent the next eight months trying to get a refund. I e-mailed them repeatedly and tried calling. I only spoke one time to them on the phone. No one would answer or call back. I finally contacted the New Jersey Attorney Generals Offfice, they in turn sent my information to their consumers affairs department. The first of April. 2010, with their help, I finally had my $90.00 refunded to my charge card. I don't think I would have gotten my money back without the help of their office. It took eight months to get the issue resolved. I will never order from this company again, nor would I recommend them.
Description of Work: No service was performed. I ordered a bench and never received it. I was e-mailed several times that it was scheduled to ship but it never did. After several weeks of e-mails back & forth I canceled the order but could not get a refund.

 + -1 moreI am still waiting for a word about my $90.00 refund. And will continue to call daily and email them. I am most unhappy over my dealings with this company and will NEVER recommend or use them again.
Description of Work: Not a service, it was a product. Ordered a garden bench on July 17, 2009. I gave appropriate time for delivery, emailed them three times about ship date. It was always going to be shipped. I was given three different ship times & excuses ie a delay in a cedar shipment, to being really busy. Finally canceled the order in mid September and was told they would credit my credit card via email. Did not get the credit or my money and cannot get any responses from Tidewater. I have called & emailed several times since the end of September. I spoke to ONE person who told me she could not help me because I needed to talk with the billing department and they were only in on Thursday. Again I have tried to get a response, but I get only a voicemail and no one returns my calls or acknowledges my emails. I am now going to call the BBB and report my experiences with this company.

 + -1 moreI asked why they had gone ahead and charged my credit card when they knew that the order would not be processed for another month. I asked why I was never given the courtesy of an email or a phone call to let me know why the order was so late. The CS rep told me that they always charge the credit card right away regardless, and that they never inform customers about delays. Needless to say, I canceled the order.
Description of Work: I ordered a product on the internet on September 19. They charged my credit card on September 20. On October 18 I called to inform them that my product had not arrived, but they had charged my credit card a month earlier. I was told that the product would ship Oct. 26 because they had a late arriving wood order.
